Marla, your lessons are inspirational. You make me want to try pastel painting again. I gave up because I was always disappointed by the results I produced and the mess I made with pastel dust all over the kitchen which I used as a studio when my wife was not looking😀🤔. Thank you!

This video is absolutely satisfying to me. I love to paint birds, I adore soft pastels and you as an artist and teacher. That background is awesome. So liberating! Love this video to pieces!!! 😘 i will probably have to check out that workshop and fb group! 😊

Love this lesson. I like your under painting and the loose way you paint. Thanks

Very Nice drawing. Do not you normally blend colors in your works, or it depend of the theme you choose? Thanks a lot.

What did you use to wipe off the feet and legs?

Marla. I loved this demo. Particularly encouraged and informed by your correction of things you decided you didn't like, from a single mark to 'erasing' his legs. I often find myself faced with a part I don't think works, but am hesitant, and more than a wee bit afraid, to go in there and wipe it out, one way or another. Thank you. Definitely becoming a subscriber and regular follower. :)

Has the bird got a forked tail the white pastel line mark above the tail suggests it has ?

Do you frame most of your pieces wirh a mat or just use a hidden spacer and no mat?

So captivating...a question for you, where did you get the reference photo for this? There is little chance I could ever photograph birds, and I am busting to try painting some. Love the background, super cool!

Nice piece. I love the energy of the colors. Quick question: What brand of pastel do you use for your dark blue/black(the one you use as your black)?
