I am unofficially taking the test soon (so I won't watch this video until after that) and was surprised the problems page wasn't posted on the website, then found these videos and realized they were literally uploaded like 10 - 20 minutes ago. I hope to see the complete list of problems to print and take.
I was wondering why you don't make the videos for the AMC 10B or 12B anymore - my school only offers the B and even though I know that the solutions are on the website, I'd like to see you explain them in these videos - and by the way, these are great. I only got 2 out of the last 5, and I want to see in detail how to do the others so I can better prepare for the test next year :)
The 10A and the 10B (or the 12A and the 12B) are given 2-3 weeks apart. Although the questions are different, the B tests are designed to be the same difficulty as their A counterpart. Both tests are actually made in advance, and a coin flip determines which one is used as the A test. MAA gives an A and a B test since some people may have a conflict on the A testing date.
Please tell me how this my thinking is wrong: Place a point randomly on the perimeter. The next point, will be out of the 1/2 range if it lands away from the 1 diameter of the original point. Hence the probability must would be 3/4.

Learned a lot from your videos! I am going to take the test in just a few days, thanks!
This solution is actually pretty intuitive

hey what is the difference between A and B?

Thanks:) Neel Mondal
That year A was way harder than B tho
This made me hurt more than the test itself
Most amazing solution... :)
I wonder why someone disliked it?
In the second part of the question, adjacent sides, why is the region less than 1/2 a quarter circle but not a right triangle?
x^2 + y^2 = 1/4 will be circle since all of the x's and y's will have the 1/2 being circleu
This is a great solution!
bro this is amazing
beautiful
For case 2 why is there a quarter circle?
Cause think of the eq of a circle

It's not a random point you're talking about, it looks more like a point directly on the middle of a side.
Yes my bad: corner or middle of a side, but not ANY point.
This video has the saddest squares I've ever seen xD
LMAO
