great info, it was never very clear to me when to use what, i thought the pull up knees was only for piste and i kept on trying to raise up and turn but on steep is damn scary, im flying practically for some eternity
bel video, grazie... guardandolo diverse volte ho capito i tuoi concetti. molto interessante l'idea di sollevare le code. ho sempre pensato di sollevare contemporaneamente tutto lo sci.
I have a question please. When skiing steep, is it ok if the arms/upper body is at the same Direction that your skies? I mean, the upper body dont look straigh to the valley. (Min 1:28 ) Thanks so much
In most cases on the steeps it’s a good idea to lead the bottom half of the turn with the lower body, otherwise you put yourself in danger of the tails slipping out and tumbling backwards. Plus it will be quicker to move into the next turn. A good rule of thumb is for the upper body (shoulders & pelvis) to face the direction of momentum. In a very short turn on the steeps, that’s probably somewhere between where your skis are pointing and the fall line. Facing straight to the valley is probably too much seperation.
Very tasty skiing, well done! I wish I could do that.

Great video! Where is this amazing place you are skiing?
Thanks… Engelberg, Switzerland
This looks like it's really steep stuff. How steep more or less? Steepest thing I ski is RTS at Willamette Pass (just over 52 degrees for a bit).
Great!
It always looks so easy when you are skiing - but it isnt
