WATCH MORE - That Samantha Jones cameo was small, but are there any cast members who could fill her stilettos? Here's our TAKE on the top contenders: ruclips.net/video/q7JzSy_OSc0/видео.html
I hope this doesn’t come across shallow.. but whoever has been on wardrobe for Miranda the last 3/4 episodes was breathtaking. The color ways, the way the power suits fit, and that red dress in the finale? By far my favorite part of the season.
Agreed! Also, the purple dress on her date with the "cat" lady. I think they need to "bump up" her casual outfits now too. Let's hope they keep getting better and better in season 3.
@@moey.10 Oh CAT LADY.. that was a great scene. I think we've all had dates with high expectation and the person turns out to be a disaster on the date. Just part of dating. She did the right thing and got OUT.
I might be weird saying this but.. I had a weird experience with the Samantha scene.. I realized how much the show is missing Samantha’s literal voice. Not hearing her literal voice makes the series feel like somethings missing.
the thing is ajlt feels like more of a continuation of the movies, which themselves were more of fuzzy Rom-Coms, than the original, gritty series . If you ask me, the spark of the show was already somewhat lost back then
Agreed that it’s ridiculous that Carrie has to wait for Aidan for five years - he’s already been divorced for several years. There’s no reason Carrie couldn’t come visit on the weekends that the kid is with his mom. One of the points of shared custody is that both parents get some time for themselves to move on with their lives… by giving up his own life waiting around for his kid to screw up, Aidan is doing himself, his kid, Carrie, and everyone else a disservice. It’s good for the kid to see his dad get on with his life and be in a healthy relationship!
Samantha only had a minute and a half of screen time, yet she still managed to steal the show. Fortunately, they were able to film the scene without having to have either Sarah or Kim be in the same room, due to their bad blood.
I loved the Samantha character in SATC series but honestly as much as she is missed this scene added nothing and was just a bit stupid. Her character was ruined in the films and she was right not to come back.
Hasn't Kim said REPEATEDLY and very loudly publically she's done with the character? That would just prove the rest of the dialogue it was all really about her not getting her way or not being the lead character.
Everything with Stanford in this series is so weird. Willie Garson died tragically so they can't have the character on anymore, but having a whole story line for him off screen is cringey. He just left in the episode after his last appearance without a good-bye and he's apparently going to live in Japan forever as a Shinto Monk, which is completely out of left field and only seems to serve Anthony's character arc. It's actually kind of insulting. I think it would have just have been better to have the character died.
Yeah I thought that was disrespectful to the character just running off. But it was Willie's request his illness or death not portrayed so they had to write around it to honor the request.
I disagree. For one, apparently it was at the request of Willie Garson's family for Stanford to not have a death storyline so that was already off the table. But even if it wasn't, Big's death brought such a dark vibe to the show. If the show killed off Stanford, obviously they would have to spend some time grieving that character and we've already seen similar storylines unfold with Big's death. Having another major character death storyline would have brought the mood down too much I think. I don't think anyone wants another half season of sad grief episodes. As goofy as it is, I actually think having Stanford become a monk was a creative way for the show to "send him to heaven" and give him peace without actually having to kill him.
@@_rmel Yeah, but my main problem with it was that they had Stanford write to Carrie instead of Anthony. I mean, Anthony was his husband, whom he left without even saying goodbye. He deserved to have Stanford communicate directly to him. If they had to involve Carrie, we could've seen Anthony receive the letter but be afraid/unwilling to read it himself, so he asks Carrie to do it.
@@vivienne2772 Oh lord no. He was an awful insecure mess. And bad in bed too. We not really any good qualities in that character. He was always cringe worthy.
I don't agree with the characterization of Lisa's unplanned pregnancy. I think the way her and her husband discussed it was very honest and a realistic look at how a couple would talk about it. A miscarriage is also super realistic considering the risks associated with pregnancy in advanced maternal age. Seeing her go through grief and question if she "wished the baby away" was so sad. We've been complaining about this show being too focused on being woke and addressing real time/real world issues since day 1 because it took away from the plot and character growth.. now that they've done that we are complaining also? For Aiden to make such a fuss about not wanting to go inside Carrie's apartment only to then change his mind literally right AFTER her big dinner party JUST to break up with her was such a shitty move. But then again, maybe he's owed that revenge. Also, where was Steve??? Che gets invited but not Steve? Makes no sense. I think Seema and Lisa are great new characters and well rounded. Seema especially has a unique point of view from the other characters that makes her so valuable! Naya and Che on the other hand feel like they were thrown in there so that each main cast member would have a token POC friend. That doesn't feel like true inclusivity to me, it feels shallow.
I 100% agree with what you said about the unplanned pregnancy plot. I also felt it being very realistic and sincere and how I would approach the topic with my partner. It is obviously completely different how single ladies discuss abortion when the baby is a result of a meaningless one-night stand versus a married couple who loves each other and the baby is a product of that love. It’s such a delicate discussion with someone you share a life with.
@@inkeriananasI just couldn’t watch season 1, everytime I tried I get repulsed haha but I actually enjoyed a little bit of the season 2and there were parts that felt good to see the girls again, and now I am revisiting season 1, and although I still don’t like it and can’t watch a full episode, and without cringing or becoming depressed, I watch a bit here and there...
First, give Kristen Davis an Emmy! She was the MVP of the season bringing the funny and killing her monolog in the finale! Sec, please bring back the narration because it did so much heavy-lifting narratively and would pick up the pace giving more characters the time to shine. And lastly, make longer seasons or cut the new characters because these actors deserve more than one scene per season to show why they were cast. AJLT isn't as good as og SATC but at least it's no longer SATC 2 bad, which is at least an improvement. Also, fire Michael Patrick King but that probably won't happen though he's done more damage to the franchise than anyone else.
Yes, he is insufferable and so arrogant/pretentious on that podcast of behind the scenes and the writing. I think he thinks he is God's gift to writers and showrunners. I don't think he is "in touch" with these characters anymore.
I call it being LAZY. After all these years, it's gonna be hard coming up with fresh ideas.. plus he should have worked harder to get Kim C back. Give her what ever she wants. Pay Back for always siding with SJP. It was called SATC. Not the Sarah Jessica Parker show. ❤
The way the season ended felt conclusive, as all the loose ends in the girls' lives seemed to be tied up... Only they've now been renewed for a THIRD season! They're going to have to scramble to think of more stories now.
It's a getting the ratings and MAX signups so it was renewed. Even if people love to hate watch it they are watching it. I think they are going to take a turn with season 3 since they did wrap up storylines. Will be interesting to see where they go with it. But we will have to wait awhile with the writers strike. Maybe a year and half or two years before we see it. I'm in that category who only has MAX during the season. Re joined to watch it and now I'm already canceled again now that the season is over. I'm sure I'm one of many for that but revenue since they got oh 40 or 50 bucks from me they otherwise would have not. Similar to back in the day of the original series and Six Feet Under with HBO. Once they were both done, canceled HBO.
About watching these characters' lives in Manhattan: must *absolutely everything* be relatable? Sometimes it's a nice respite to see a different way of living on-screen, rather than more of what we live with day in and day out.
I think this is a fair point, I would counter argue though that there are easy ways to make rich characters relatable that don't revolve around their spending or extravagant partying even with something as simple as reminiscing about the times when they weren't so lucky
Nothing is relatable. Nothing. They are all stinking rich women living in luxury and running around wearing ridiculously expensive designer clothes. In sex and the city they had more relatable plots. Plus, Everything is so painfully woke.
I wish I related to getting my 10000000$ bag stolen and not worrying about possibly starving for the next month. Or being so spoiled I had time to question my gender.
This is better than the teaser short and confirms that yes, Kim Catrall wanted to do a scene that wasn’t in the same room as SJP and that she is unlikely to return for good.
I haven't really missed her. Lost respect for her how she came out claws out and saying things no one else SJP worked with agreed with. Was being a diva and not as important as she thought she was.
@@johniii8147ummm Kim asked to be paid as much as SJP bc she was the only one showing her full chest and even frontal on the show, while SJP never was topless or had raunchy sex scenes. SJP was getting paid double, one check for acting and another check for being an executive producer and she refused to pay Kim what she was worth. SJP did not value Kim and the work she did on the show.
@@meikoblock Just because you ask for a raise doesn't mean you get it. She wanted that SJP contract and they said no. The fact was the show was designed around SJP's character from the start and she negotiated the terms up front. SJP was in the driver's seat from the very beginning. The rest were supporting cast. Kim tried to overplay her hand and didn't get way. Poor thing.
The ending with Aidan is just ridiculous. It's a stupid, stupid non-adult decision to leave Carie for "his kids". The healthiest option for the kids is to go through life accepting that parent are their own people and have their lives.
That was just his passive aggressive excuse to break up. The 5 year thing was ridiculous and Carrie knew it. They were briefly comfort food for each other at the time. They both really knew that. I went threw that with an ex but we both acknowledged that pretty early on in the "reunion" We both loved each other but not compatible in everyday life but great sex so what the hell since we both were single and had a comfort level with each other. But the same old issues were there so it fizzed pretty quickly.
Especially given that Big just died last year and Carrie, being in her late 50's, understands more than ever that life is short. Five years is a lot to ask of someone, esp. at that age.
It’s stupid and it’s just lazy. The writers are just terrible at writing storylines for these characters that bring any depth to this show. It’s all shallow and pointless. What was the point of bringing aiden back just so they can end again? What was the point of Carrie moving back into her apartment to move out again?
@@toriyt2714 It's very simple they brought back Aiden to appease fans who missed that storyline with them. The actor also needed a job since he hasn't done anything in years. Agreed redundant. Now the apartment thing I actually get. It's always been her comfort zone. After the loss of Big it made sense it was her safe space. Just like after the failed attempt at marriage. It was also the focal point of the original so of course they would include it here. Carrie now has big and A out of her life and this was a symbolic move she's finally going to move on.
The diversity in Community felt very natural and authentic to me. I don't believe I ever thought about it until ppl started talking more in general about check the box style casting.
Some of it did some of didn't. I think the writing mistake was to try and just throw it all in one go. Definitely felt forced and contrived at some points.
I love Community and I've never thought of the show that way! Probably because the actors are so amazing you see them as more than a checklist of skin colours. Then we have AJLT with a podcast director rolling around in a wheelchair yelling at people.
I didn't like what they did with Aidan and the situation with his kid - seemed more of an excuse for Carrie to be alone again for some reason - but although cringy, that gesture is easy to understand: like you said, he's referencing the notion that the time will pass "just like that" (but of course it won't, and you don't just hit pause in a relationship for 5 years...); this is the second video in which I see @thetake ask this question and I don't understand why they were so perplexed by it...
i agree with a lot of what you said. but i disagree about the LIsa Todd Wexley miscarriage/abortion plot. you said her miscarriage "conveniantly" made it so she doesn't have to make that hard choice. while this is true, i think it is missing another point.. that the real life experience of women who get pregnant in their late 40s/ early 50s just pre-menopause very often is the experience of miscarriage. so i think lisa going through this experience rather than having to go through the experience of abortion or not does really ring true to the experience of pregnancy in this age group, in contast to miranda in the original SATC ringing true for that age group.
Agreed. As this video stated, the abortion SATC episode already showed a pro-abortion stance. As have many other TV shows (i.e. Scandal showing Olivia Pope getting the actual surgery). The fact of the matter is, not everyone wants an abortion. And those women matter too and perspective should also be shown on screen. As does the sadness that comes from having a miscarriage. LTW said she appreciated that she has the choice and her husband was supportive of that decision since he's the one that even initiated the abortion discussion. So it's not like they were presenting an anti-abortion POV. But that still doesn't mean she wants it for herself. That's why it's called Pro-CHOICE in the first place.
In season 3 Carrey will volunteer at a retirement home as an act of altruism. One day she will be asked to go to room 14 and change the adult diaper of a gentleman living there. Imagine her shock when she enters the room and sees Aleksandar Petrovsky helplessly laying in a pile of his poop .
I think they really need to keep the pace. SATC had such a great energy, and that’s the main thing missing, more so than any missing character (amazing as Samantha is). They’re finally keeping things moving and choosing the right times to slow things down in key moments. I’ve loved the maturing of Carrie. It’s the best part of the new show for me.
Agreed. They are getting the energy back and despite what most think, the story line moved on without. Her character wouldn't play well now anyway 25 years later.
No mention of how cringe the jokes and conversations were surrounding Anthony and anal sex? Painful to watch. A five-year break because Aidan can't even think about Carrie if she were to visit? Puhleeze. Carrie would likely be grieving after that kind of loss on top of losing Big, regardless of its supposed impermanence. Lazy writing. Cringe jokes and stereotypes. Was ordering two cosmos at the end supposed to have a deeper meaning? They should have put this show to bed when they had the chance.
I agree, extremely inconsistent characters. They have different personalities completely without showing us the "change", they just woke up and are different people now
And just like that Carrie has no expectations so the love of her life leaving her for 5 years? No biggie. And just like that Anthony is in love after two weeks of knowing someone. And just like that Che is with someone else too. And just like that they give Bobby Lee, who clearly has some acting chops he uses in Reservation Dogs, and is very funny, the worst lines ever. And just like that...@@Jkjoannaki
And just like that, Carrie waits for five years for the love of her life to babysit his teenage boy. And just like that, the stupid Hollywood producer with that ridiculous tie thing, fell in love with that woman with a strange face and shitty attitude! And just like that, Miranda’s gay And just like that, Harry, the aggressive lawyer, has no personality And just like that, that weird character with a weird name, has a weird character for a girlfriend And just like that, Steve is able to hear properly after a whole season of being almost deaf And just like that, What else?
Agreed! Let Samantha be happy in London and move forward with the new friendships. I cannot tell you how much I loved Samantha in "Sex and the City"; she was my favorite. I have adored Kim since the 80s. That said, even more so than Kim trashing her former costars, what turned me off to her was that she chose Piers Morgan of all people to do that interview. Out of all the outlets she could have gone to, for her to choose a well-documented racist, homophobe, and misogynist was disappointing to say the very least.
Agreed. I lost respect for her when she went on that public tirade against SJP (and I'm not one of the huge fans of her either). The whole thing just stuck me as very unprofessional and ego driven she didn't get her way and wasn't who the show was created around. She also strung them along with unreasonable demands for 3rd movie and pulled out at the last minute since she didn't get them.
@@johniii8147 Right?! They even had an entire crew lined up counting on that work. Revisiting old interviews where she gushed over SJP just makes her seem a bit fake either way.
@@Jumbaride No doubt she played the character well, but yeah her off screen actions speak for themselves of the real motives. SJP is no saint I'm sure but she played the business a lot better than Kim has. That really pisses Kim off I'm sure.
I disagree, even though all the video points are valid about why it seems improbable that Samantha would fly for just one night if she's been absent the whole time, it did not feel awkward. This 1-minute conversation felt SO GOOD, and familiar. Their dynamic and the way they talked to each other was refreshing and it made the whole season. I had to sit through all that insufferable first part to get to Samantha and I don't regret it, she made it all worth it!
I think that's exactly their point. The conversation was so good and familiar it cast doubt on the in-show explanation for why samantha hasn't been around at all
Samantha absolutely would fly out for just one night to help someone pack or something menial like that sooooo it begs the question why she has been completely gone for everything else. They definitely could have written better reasons why she wasn't around or had a more interesting context for her cameo than just "i was going to randomly show up for the first time in years except i can't now! lol bye!" It would make more sense if she hadn't said any of that at all and was just calling carrie normally
The season was definitely a step up…But only a slight one. There was so much wasted potential! Why bring back Aiden to have him leave again? Seeing Carrie as a step mom could have really shown her growth as a character! The fact that one scene with Samantha brought more energy into the series than both seasons combined is not a great touch… even with all this I will still watch season 3
the sex wasn't what I missed... it was so cringe in the last ep! I miss the gals interacting with each other. but honestly when you're that stage of your life, you don't really hang out like you used to. I still think they blew it with those weird sub plots. The condoms, Che, the cat, etc etc
I liked it, it’s getting back to the way it was, funny, witty and fashion Xx so let’s see how it can be better?... maybe more of Carrie’s voice over, Samantha’s London life please Xx
HIGHLY doubt SJP would agree to help a show with Kim in at this point. Way too much bad blood there at this point. Kim would also look ridiculous after saying very LOUDLY and repeatedly she's moved on from the character. Would just prove it was all about her ego in the falling out because the show was not centered around her.
can we stop commenting on how 'unrelatable' the show is? it's not a political documentary, it's a ficitonal series for god's sake. also the scene with Lisa's pregnancy, and how they solved it - was far from dissapointing, so labeling it that is just wrong. the comparisons to the original series also have to stop - it's never going to be the same thing - it's a different series. season two was great.
One major plus in AJLT is that Carrie is finally a mature person who is more sure of herself and doesn't just jump from man to man. I didn't watch SATC when it came out, so I binge watched it recently, and when you do that you can really see how insufferable Carrie and Big are. AJLT is not nearly as funny as SATC, but it's really not as bad as some people make it out to be. The absolute worst part of the whole story was Sex and the City 2, when they traveled to Abu Dhabi. Oh my God, that's was so bad.
100% agree with you. A lot of people were wanting what was 25 years ago in the show. People change and mature ( well most do anyway). It's really sad if you are the same person you were 25 years ago. Talk about cringe worthy would be women ( or men for that matter) galavanting around NYC looking for hook ups etc. Life moves on and at times very complicated.
I’m honestly fine with how they handle Samantha and at this point, I don’t miss her. Of course I would’ve loved to have her in the show, but it is what it is now. We have more characters, they reference her-it’s the best we can get.
I don't think not saying abortion is regresive. For some people it's a very delicate subject. Lisa and her husband are religious (i remember them going to church on sundays) so not mentioning it seems in character for them
I'd agree. It's their choice on how they communicate it and their choice to make. Few will tell anyone but their closest friends it was a choice they made. It's so Taboo in the US.
S1 was so extreme everything - I don’t see how it could ever get back to a point where the biggest suspension of reality was Carrie’s shoe budget. The clothes alone look like those extreme runway outfits that no one wears yet here it’s like something you’d wear on casual Friday
Season 2 was much better than season 1, but there are way too many main characters and the pacing is often too slow. Brining back Carrie's narration and connecting everyone's storylines that way like they did in SATC would improve the show so much. I don't know why they refuse to do that when everyone is asking for it.
I have to disagree with you there as a woman in Texas I was trying to figure out how to get around all the regressive laws and I had the choice taken from me bc I had a miscarriage so that hit me hard.
what Samantha said on the short cameo is basically have a double meaning, for Carrie and her fans. it a sweet goodbye for Kim to bring closure to the character. I love it. Also I don't dig Aiden plot at all, what a relief they broke up, so far the only character I like is Seema. she is like 2nd best Samantha.
It was nice to see Samantha. I did enjoy the Aiden and Carrie clips out of nostalgia. I do think the wait 5 years is a little excessive and hopefully Aiden he was acting extreme in the moment. Glad to see Miranda break up with Che
It would've been better if Miranda had been the one to break up with Che instead of Che breaking up with her. Che was awful, and it would've been great to see Miranda recognize that and see that ending it with Che didn't mean she also had to break up with her newfound queerness.
Aiden’s gesture to Carrie was him snapping his finger and in the blink of an eye 5 years will past and they’ll be together. He didn’t snap bc it was so fast it went unnoticed. ( but he really didn’t snap but I got it)
4:24 The commentary on here I don’t think speaks on the show but rather the character. Just because some people can have casual conversation on this topic doesn’t mean all people do. I think it speaks on the creation of diversity of perspectives on the show.
Kim doesn’t like Jessica and has been very clear about this and why. I wouldn’t come back either unless I was paid bank to do so. Kim will be okay…she knows she was the star.
Kim only shares PART of the story. It was always SJP's show from the start and written that way. The other women were always supporting cast by design. Kim couldn't stand that she was not made a producer and given the same money SJP was. Well hon that's what you signed up for at the start. Get your own show.
@@ritaamor283 She did a movie with him and commented on the Samantha Geimer rape, that the judge was biased against him and Polanski was "railroaded" by the justice system and received an unfair sentence. So...her opinions on other people are not necessarily top quality. I don't know whether or not Sarah Jessica Parker "could have been nicer", but she objectively isn't a rapist.
Fingers crossed 🤞 that the stans let Samantha be free... Or you will end up with an implosion. It's ok to walk away from a beloved show if it's no longer how you remember it and hold on to all the thoughts of what you used to love.
Really don’t feel LTW should be a lead character. She’s not different enough from Charlotte to warrant. They even though have the same storyline of balancing work and motherhood.
LTW's early to mid-50's pregnancy made sense to end in a miscarriage. 1-2% of women have children over 50? Also the social climate of 2002 was less Anti pro-choice and cancellation friendly.
Okay I’m really weird because I actually like the revival better than the original series but it’s completely a “me” thing. I just find watching younger people going through their unstable, sex filled and single life kinda annoying and I much prefer watching shows focusing on older characters, to me it’s a more interesting phase in one’s life
I've enjoyed both. People hate watching wanted them to be the same people and that's just not how life goes over a 25 year span. It's also not the 90s anymore.
Lisa being a great mother and wife with a drive to have a growing career is the exact storyline of Charlotte also. But Charlotte’s OG so Lisa is almost redundant
I think it’s time for this channel to realize that the showrunners’ intentions are exactly playing with the audience desire to get back to SNTC feelings and will display this here and there to keep the audience to keep watching and expecting them to come back completely. Also, these videos are feeling repetitive, all the recent SNTC videos from the channel are kinda the same, which is kinda funny when they are point out exactly the same for AJLT
No, I'm sorry, as much as I wanted to like the new seasons, IMO, EVERYTHING is a cringe fest: unrelatable secondary characters and "woke" attitudes, silly situations that only exist on the deluded minds of the writers of the show, Charlotte's puffy face, Miranda's lobotomized non-self, Samantha's botched side story... Nothing is right, nothing is enjoyable.
This would have been canceled end of season 1 if this was on a major network. The show seems forced and unnatural now. So glad you do these recaps cause I refuse to watch the beloved series. I just can’t relate to the characters anymore, not even the “black couple”. Could they have got a couple that looked the part?
I am from Australia, and I loved SATC, and even the movies which followed. It was fun, light-hearted, and what TV is supposed to be... entertainment. AJLT was just really boring, and supposedly "woke" with all these new characters with whom I had no interest. I love bald Harry, and Charlotte, but the others have just morphed into characters with whom I can no longer identify. Seema as a replacement for Samantha? Doesn't work for me. Only Kim Cattrall can fill that gap. My advice from "Down Under", stop making AJLT, and leave the great legacy of SATC intact.
I hope Samantha doesn't come back. I miss hr tremendously and she is my favorite. But she left after Carrie still expected a girlfriend's discount on PPO R services....after all her books and Big's money! What a jerk! Samantha was the only grown up in the group. They were holding her back.
@brokencandy1797 yeah, whether it's money or not, it's just an observation. She was supposed to be the oldest of them but it's hard to see it that way, she looks so much younger than the rest now
Unrelated-able plot lines… I’m so sick of haters. This show hot hate from its creation, satc the original was totally hated on as “unrelateable” also. It’s not the show’s fault that people can’t relate to strange, realistic life plot lines.

Lisa was too damn old to be pregnant anyway. So stupid and unnecessary!
Anyone else upset that they took away Samantha Jones’ NAME too? Robbed of everything…🙄
I hope this doesn’t come across shallow.. but whoever has been on wardrobe for Miranda the last 3/4 episodes was breathtaking. The color ways, the way the power suits fit, and that red dress in the finale? By far my favorite part of the season.
You're absolutely right!
Yes she's has a great look now. Great styling. They are reflecting she's moving on with life and getting her confidence back.

And they had that big New appartment? Like 4 bedrooms and 3 bath? They could have lived there together all 3 ?
Must be nice getting so many chances to get it right
Imagine spending your entire adult life writing TV and still can't consistently write anything good
How do these people stay in work
😂
MPK doesn’t deserve it.
Samantha only had a minute and a half of screen time, yet she still managed to steal the show. Fortunately, they were able to film the scene without having to have either Sarah or Kim be in the same room, due to their bad blood.
That one cameo from her gave the show a pulse. God bless Kim.
And she reportedly earned $1.69 million for her 71 seconds on screen.
she needs to be back
It's taken 4 characters to try and fill the Samantha-shaped hole and it's still not enough! But can you blame Kim after SATC 2?
I loved the Samantha character in SATC series but honestly as much as she is missed this scene added nothing and was just a bit stupid. Her character was ruined in the films and she was right not to come back.
Why not give Samantha a spin-off show. With new people. That could be cool
Hasn't Kim said REPEATEDLY and very loudly publically she's done with the character? That would just prove the rest of the dialogue it was all really about her not getting her way or not being the lead character.
Kim has a series on Netflix
@@_rmelabsolutely agree
@@_rmel Yeah, but my main problem with it was that they had Stanford write to Carrie instead of Anthony. I mean, Anthony was his husband, whom he left without even saying goodbye. He deserved to have Stanford communicate directly to him. If they had to involve Carrie, we could've seen Anthony receive the letter but be afraid/unwilling to read it himself, so he asks Carrie to do it.
Is not even possible for anyone in real life
*We need Nina Katz and her husband, Berger to walk by Carrie and Aidan arguing in Season 3, so Nina Katz can give the Face* 😅😅😅

This series is just depressing. There's no joy, or playfulness. It's either gloomy or corny. They need to just stop.
I swear! Each week I watch between my fingers like it’s a horror movie but I always look forward to reviews on social media because they’re hilarious
Agreed, they're trying to be "woke" and "relevant", but it's just so cringy to watch.
Season two was so much better than the first one though. I did find joy in it, which I'm happy about.

Speaking of HBO….We need to talk about the tragedy that was Lovecraft Country’s cancellation.
Yes, definitely!!
Yes please.
The way the season ended felt conclusive, as all the loose ends in the girls' lives seemed to be tied up... Only they've now been renewed for a THIRD season! They're going to have to scramble to think of more stories now.
They really could have ended it there and it would have been perfect. At this point, it feels weird.
How Carrie's story felt conclusive ? Like HOW ?!
Yeah sometimes it’s nice to escape to another world. I have some issues with Just Like that but I enjoy the rich setting as well as nostalgia
Woke is not relatable
I didn’t understand why Carrie couldn’t visit Aiden in Virginia
I just read that SJP adopted shoe in real life and renamed him Lotus. She has 2 other cats.
Then we have AJLT with a podcast director rolling around in a wheelchair yelling at people.
the gesture that Aidan made at the car door was him snapping his fingers - "five years will go by just like that (snap)"
I would actually watch that. 😂
If Carrie really matured she would have said No to Aiden about waiting FIVE years!!!
It was the absolute best episode of all the seasons. I hope they continue in this direction
I enjoyed the last couple episodes after being frankly disgusted by the entire rest of the series so far
Those sex scenes were cringy
With Che:Miranda too much
The second season was a slight improvement over the first.

Season 2 was enjoyable to watch and soooooo much better than season 1
Why do everyone keep saying it's nice to see Kim Cattrall on the screen after a decade? - She have been on so many shows the last couple of years.
I feel like a lot of people expect tv shows to not be entertaining fiction anymore, but some sort of public service announcement
I'll be watching Season 3 and reviews on it. 😊
Why aren't there also more calls to bring back Smith Jerrod? *swoon!*
I want a Samantha spin-off set in London SO BADLY
Yes, yes it is that bad.
I’m honestly fine with how they handle Samantha and at this point, I don’t miss her.
Of course I would’ve loved to have her in the show, but it is what it is now. We have more characters, they reference her-it’s the best we can get.
Unpopular opinion but I loved it! It is cringe and not as good as the OG but I still really enjoy it
I love it too! I honestly looked to every new episode.
I couldn’t see season 1, but enjoyed season 2 and will watch season 3!
Sam: " ohh Yes, right that waiter from TGIFridays" (makes cringe face)
Carrie: "Umm it was the Salooon"
😂
😂
Season 2 was much better than season 1, but there are way too many main characters and the pacing is often too slow. Brining back Carrie's narration and connecting everyone's storylines that way like they did in SATC would improve the show so much. I don't know why they refuse to do that when everyone is asking for it.
Lisa’s husband telling her it wasn’t meant to be was horrible! No woman wants to hear that! Better to say nothing at all!
Bring Samantha back for longer cameos and show us her life in London. Get rid of Che.
I heard they have Che in there for hate views
It was nice to see Samantha. I did enjoy the Aiden and Carrie clips out of nostalgia. I do think the wait 5 years is a little excessive and hopefully Aiden he was acting extreme in the moment. Glad to see Miranda break up with Che
It would've been better if Miranda had been the one to break up with Che instead of Che breaking up with her. Che was awful, and it would've been great to see Miranda recognize that and see that ending it with Che didn't mean she also had to break up with her newfound queerness.
@@cv8499 that would have been better
Kim was working just like her, even more, because she was important a d she had nude scenes.
Cowardice that a happily married couple is not discussing an abortion more seriously? You really think that’s cowardice?! Disgusting.
Aiden’s gesture to Carrie was him snapping his finger and in the blink of an eye 5 years will past and they’ll be together. He didn’t snap bc it was so fast it went unnoticed. ( but he really didn’t snap but I got it)
How are all the characters SO impossibly rich and famous? They were supposed to be just like us.
I just wish Kim would come back as Samantha permantently
4:24 The commentary on here I don’t think speaks on the show but rather the character. Just because some people can have casual conversation on this topic doesn’t mean all people do. I think it speaks on the creation of diversity of perspectives on the show.
Kim doesn’t like Jessica and has been very clear about this and why. I wouldn’t come back either unless I was paid bank to do so. Kim will be okay…she knows she was the star.
But she does like Roman Polanski, so I take her preferences with a grain of salt.

The whole season was a hate-watch for me but the last 2 episodes turned it all around. The 'I was a person before you' monologue cut deep
Charlotte was my hero she put her family in check . and reminded them she was a whole wonen before they came along.
I’ll never watch it until Samantha is back! 😂
"And Just Like That" ending and "Sex and the City" 7th season actually starting? I agree.
Word for word. ..Couldn’t agree more.
WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS?WHERE😢
“that, according to their upbringing, that they” - there is no reason to repeat “that”
they insist on making Che a thing...her character brings nothing to the table
The "return" of Samantha Jones :P
Why is Charlotte's actress acting like Dylan Mulvaney??????
Without Samantha, the show is pointless because it was about the friendship between 4 women- and now that is lost & it does not feel the same.
Lisa being a great mother and wife with a drive to have a growing career is the exact storyline of Charlotte also. But Charlotte’s OG so Lisa is almost redundant
WE NEED A SAMANTHA SPIN OFF IN LONDONNNNNN
I dont think Aiden is the one for Carrie. I never have tbh
Please dear tv god, no more Che
Yes, I thought season 2 was WAAAAAY better than season 1.
Why they had to do with this reboot in the first place? They had 6 years and two features. Go on with your lives!
Does anyone else feel as if there will likely be a time jump next season?
Yup starting with Aiden’s finger snap
"We have all been there! " Samantha is the queen
And the grift continues with Season 3...ugg smdh 🤬
The most authentic character is Samantha 😅😅😅 bc she left this project 😊😊😊😊
I hope Samantha doesn't come back. I miss hr tremendously and she is my favorite. But she left after Carrie still expected a girlfriend's discount on PPO R services....after all her books and Big's money! What a jerk! Samantha was the only grown up in the group. They were holding her back.
lo que mas me gustó de la temporada fue el gato.

They did Stanford so bad in this series, they should have honoured him instead they made him the kinda the bad guy. Shame on them

Samantha looks the youngest now she hasn't aged a day
I'm sure that's not by accident or luck, but also, she has.
God... I wish I never watched SATC so I can watch if for the first time again.
I have enjoyed this season and I also like all of the characters.
