বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (সংক্ষেপে: বুয়েট) হচ্ছে বাংলাদেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় প্রকৌশল-সম্পর্কিত উচ্চশিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান। এটি ঢাকা শহরের পলাশী এলাকায় অবস্থিত। কারিগরি শিক্ষা প্রসারের জন্য ১৮৭৬ সালে ঢাকা সার্ভে স্কুল নামে প্রতিষ্ঠিত স্কুলটি পরবর্তীতে আহসানউল্লাহ স্কুল অব ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ে পরিণত হয়। বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতার পরে এর নাম হয় বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়
বুয়েট ক্যাম্পাস ঢাকার প্রাণকেন্দ্রে অবস্থিত। এটি একটি ছোট্ট ক্যাম্পাস। ছাত্রদের আবাসিক হলগুলো একাডেমীর ভবন থেকে হাঁটার দূরত্বে অবস্থিত। বর্তমানে ক্যাম্পাসের আয়তন হল ৭৬.৮৫ একর (৩১১,০০০ ব.মি.)।
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology commonly known as BUET is a public technological research university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1876 as the Dacca Survey School, it is the oldest institution for the study of engineering, architecture and urban planning in Bangladesh.
The university campus is located at the Palashi area of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. With the construction of new academic buildings, an auditorium complex, a cafeteria and halls of residence, the university has continued to expand over the last three decades. A large number of BUET alumni is working in the industry and academia both in Bangladesh and outside Bangladesh.
