I HAD FRIEND IN HIGH SCHOOL BACK IN 62 WITH 56 CHEVY WITH A CORVETT ENENGINE -D,CAM -AND 3 2 BARREL CARBS...,..loved LISTEN TO IT IDLE....FUN CAR ,,
I had a 56 4dr Bel Air sedan 265 2brl 3 on the tree .It was a 2 tone green and white .You could burn rubber in 2nd gear .It was my first car .If I had the money I would buy this beauty .
My dad had one exactly like that in the 50s and I just loved to drive it. The memory of it is ingrained in my brain forever.
Just found this. Used to love coming here as a youngster back in the 90s. I'm glad it's still there. It looks the exact same.

We have not noticed any oil running out on the lot

Nice car, it would look great lowered a couple inches on some 20" US Mags, but I would probably paint it more of a stock color combo. These do get a lot of attention, my buddy in high school had a black '55 Chevy wagon with a 327. We were always getting thumbs up and people talking to us in parking lots.
Not hip on us mags, at least on this car but I do like some American racing torque thrusts or factory steel wheels and whitewalls

Car's been painted, right? I'm not an expert for this model & year, I have expressed an in interest in these 55', 56' & 57' Bel Airs over the years. I don't ever remember seeing this color combination; pale blue & white is the only blue I'm familiar with . It appears the car is worth putting both time & money into. These really are great cars when restored properly; a 454 550 hp would be a nice engine for this car, leather interior, updated suspension, stereo come immediately to mind.
