@Akshay Kumar pal as a New Yorker I gotta let you know a bit about if Mexico is safe and it’s called United States of Mexico, there’s 32 states and each state has its own laws. Some states are safe others are not. And each state is like it’s own country which means people live differently then others. Look up whitexicans and you’ll have a big shock on the Mexicans that live like regular Americans and what people suffer and do cartel stuff
It is funny that people tell you that the crime rate in Mexico City is high, it is actually lower than in most major American cities and is comparable to American cities like Dallas and Houston, Mexico has dangerous parts because of the drug trade for sure but the country is also the size of western Europe, is like saying that you should not visit Paris because of the war in Ukraine.

Hey Paramvir. I hope you liked Mexico City (CDMX). I write this as an American of Asian Indian background (the son of a Mumbaikar, immigrant to USA in the 1970s). I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, including CDMX with my wife of 19 years (a Vietnamese immigrant to USA). I felt totally safe in Mexico.. same for my wife. We love Mexico...to the point we are considering options to reside permanently in Puebla (Mexico). Anyway, Mexico is a really nice area. I hope you spent time in Reforma area of CDMX...see you went through the Zocalo area. Did you get a chance to go to Condesa, Polanco, Roma Norte, and Roma Sur areas of CDMX? Did you go to Chapultepec and Xochimilco? All are nice. As far as food, you can find Indian style in Roma Sur area of CDMX. We also loved the fish restaurants in Polanco...Contamar and Entremar are great restaurants that have local fish favorites. You should have gone to El Morro Churreria for the best cinnamon sugar donuts..churros.. actually not donuts, but that is how I describe it to someone who never has had churros. Also need to go to Museo de Bellas Rates and Alameda Park. As far as Spanish, yes it is the language of the people, but there are so many English speaking foreigners in Mexico and CDMX. For me, I speak Spanish and English...curios as it seems for someone who is South Asian background.
