The story of the Birth of Lugh Lamhfada his father and mother Cían and Ethlinn, how Balor got his Evil Eye, the creation of the Selkies, and how Lugh got his name.
one of my favorite things about Irish myths is how they are so honest, and subtly funny. Like the part where Lugh's father was willing to make the sacrifice of sleeping with the 900 women, and it said, "Any true Irishman would make this sacrifice. Indeed many men say that the loss of that belt was the greatest tragedy in all history." I love being Irish
I live in amarillo texas and i have walked this path alone for so long. And i have been so afraid to listen to videos as so many online are full of charlatains and i hope for they day we can all dine together. I feel lughs call and decided long ago i will fight on the side of good no other teachings matter at this point only the up coming battle. Balor is looking at the world with his eye. We must be the spears to put it out. Paint yourselves and ready your hearts.
So glad I've just discovered your videos. These readings are precious, especially when the written texts can be so dense. Please could you tell me which book this comes from and which translation it is based on? Thank you
I'm sorry, I'm a little confused, english is not my native language and some of the names sound very strange to me, would anybody help me with the name of the characters? The cow's name was glass goblin? If you guys help me I could subtitle this in spanish so more people would be able to enjoy the story. Thank you in advance for your help
...OK, so,,, understanding our ancient stories can b difficult,, but there are certain clues left to us. Foremost of these are th names,, which hav not been changed or embellished through th century's. But there are other, more subtle hints as to what th story means. But one must read all th stories and all th different accounts of th same story to figure out what is being said. LOL. (it's never easy!!) So, i hav identified Lugh as th comet Hale Bop,, his "long arm" being what we today would refer to as a comets "tail"!!!
@CrooK ...ha ha ha,,, not as LAZY as your excuse at a sentence!!! But in case U suddenly gain some intelligence,,, here's a book U can try to understand... www.amazon.com/DELUSIONS-IMPORTANCE-Confessions-Irish-Stone-ebook/dp/B077BX1DGN
