I believe that's true. I play the piano ( just a hobby) and my husband knows everything about classical music so they're exposed and you can hear them humming some piece during the day. For some reason, my 8 year old who has autism got interested in violin so we got him a wonderful teacher that teaches him. I swear he's got the rhythm and he always ask me to play Pachelbel's Canon in D. My daughter loves la Traviata, Carmina Burana etc.

She wants to capture the essence of the music so she invited a baritone to sing it. She was in her early 90s then. We had a grand time that Thursday afternoon.

This is possible because in essence people are not separate.....In one tradition they say the soul is a knowing substance which is one substance yet it is seen as many by the outer senses which see us only as separate bodies (separated in time and space which oddly enough is needed yet it also can be seen to be a relative appearance of what lays behind it).....this knowing substance upon being born into a body, receives various impressions in this world of time and space (separation) and we learn to say- 'I' - to some of them that happen to us in this life. Yet in essence we can remember the deep root of our being.....otherwise the baby would not resonate deeply within us, touch the core as it were. We only have to learn to give ourselves to that one essence, aka 'one breath'/one life who/which already owns our every breath and moments from the original beginning. It is a subtle non-separate, not time bound, non-local substance that accompanies us all our life and even after death. We only lose direct contact with it via the shock of identifying with the body which in its appearance appears, only appears, as separate. We see ourselves as separate islands but the islands are simply hidden extensions of the One Substance or one land mass we call earth. Farewell 'out there' yet remain 'in here', the withinness that contains all things which is not separate from anything and in reality is not any thing in particular yet it can identify itself with this or that form, event, happening, idea etc. Wondrous....
