The self/ non-self thing can create real problems. My 7th lord is in my first house and I have this issue of always viewing myself through other people’s eyes and worrying about what they think of me 😞
Same. I try to change it. Because it is really painful. I do both project myself to others and I receive others as myself. It made me isolated.

It’s interesting, I’m a 1:7 and on teams, people always look to me for leadership. But I suppose if this concept is flipped around, then one could say I assume leadership because others look to me for it. So I’m now defining myself as a leader, because others desire this from me.
I also have Sun in the first, with drishti to the Lagna from Saturn and Mars, both at the top of the chart. Dhanu Lagna. I’m sure this lends a tendency toward a need to lead.
Oh, boy.. I have the chart you drew up for me as well as a lengthy report + video. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which of the combinations apply to me w/ respect to this video. You did give me great advice. Since the lord of my 7th (Aquarius) is in the 1st house of my chart, I tend to lose myself in union. Your advice was for me to work & earn for myself... not to depend solely on a life-partner. Wow... what a predicament. Sheesh it is quite compromising...

Ruler of the first in the seventh, imposing to others so sounds like a strong personality. It would be interesting hearing for all the ascendants for example for cancer lagna moon in the seventh?
I have a 7/2/1/4 sequence in my report and the small range is near the middle but slightly more towards the right. My interpretation would be: Lower regard for self *and* others, but slightly less regard for self. With the 2 affecting the 7, I would conjecture that I'm concerned about others' financial security more than my own, or that I put my worth in how much financial security I can generate for myself and others (1 effecting the 2, and 4 effecting 1). And money always being a sticky point in any relationship dynamic. As the 7 and 1 are closer to the middle of the sequence, *and* to each other than they are far apart... I'd conjecture that my perception of self and others are less at odds with one another than it may seem, and I may improve my perspective on both and experience more interpersonal harmony if I could see my relationships beyond any association with money. 1st lord in 7th- current transits: mars on my sun ( chart ruler ) and rahu on natal mars.. ( aspecting 1st from 9th ).. i accidentally burnt my face when rahu was on my mars and mars on my sun 2 days ago. I was interested to see what could be the seen in my chart. Was interesting to see so much fire and melifics exact on personal planets aspecting my ascendant

Do the Jaimini aspects of one sign upon another sign factor in here? Since some of those aspects are different from any planetary aspects, this would result in a lot of aspects and combinations (7th lord aspecting the 1st lord if they sit in such a pair of signs, e.g.).
