I love how he spoke about his religious views, it needs to be heard! I love MMF!
AGREED! i love it.
He has relationship with the father. Not a religion jesus hated religion the most
Ronel Delariarte
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrew 11:6
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8. The Pharisees was the religious ones and Yeshua wasn’t about the religion
Ronel Delariarte but Yeshua loves u regardless God created you in your mother’s womb. “You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.”
Psalms 139:13-18 The Old Testament was religious rules but he son came down to let the people know it’s not done by acts to get Gods approval
Ronel Delariarte Impartation was always meant to lead us into a greater intimacy with the Father. He is the One who teaches us to use the gifts that were given to us. It's not a wise when we pursue impartation without intimacy because gifts without stewardship can be destructive, but gifts in relationship with Him can change the world Spending time in the secret place is he only thing that could sustain intimacy with God regardless of what’s happening around us. Although we may not feel or see anything we must know that God’s word transforms us. It is in this place that we build our lives in Him. Relationship with Jesus should never be replaced by going to church, walking in miracles, or serving people. Although all those things are incredibly powerful and needed, they are not an excuse to stop communion with Holy Ghost. Trees of righteousness naturally produce fruit that is righteous. Righteousness does not mean getting everything perfect. Righteousness is trusting in the only One who is perfect. In this right standing, by faith, we have been given the grace to produce fruit that is consistent with who Jesus is. Righteousness bears fruit on to holiness.
I love how everyone in the comments are so pissed off about the gum. i was a little worried that everybody would criticize matty for his beliefs but almost every negative comment was about the damn gum lol
This band help turn me away from the negative music I consumed my life with. And for a passion for heavy rock and as a Christian and my belief in Jesus Christ thank you so so much Memphis may fire I will be a fan for life!!!!!
wow this is really amazing, nice to see Matty doing this, sharing God to his fans, it does need to be heard, can't wait for the album!!!!!((((:
I love Matty and Memphis May Fire and I really dig your interviews. You always have good questions and you don't interrupt your guests. Thumbs up from me
Although I love Memphis May Fire, and Matty's vocals are great, his gum chewing made me want to slap him. Haha spit your freaking gum out man! God bless, keep spreading the word!
Haha you're funny. I literally just said I love what he's doing and his music. But call names and belittle people. Because that ever got anyone anywhere. I sincerely laughed when I read that.
@@Beanys728 lol that person deleted their comment maybe. but hey i agree, but the mic is so sensitive, that probably enhanced the annoyingness lmao
Huge MMF fan! I'm so excited for the album! Coming in 2 days! Very much respect towards Matty as well :) I've only heard a few singles from the album, but I'm sooo excited to hear more!
The fact that he said he found peace in God made me love him even more!
And Matty your voice is heavenly with and without the screaming.
I'm so excited for this album right now!! ^__^
I'm so pumped for this next record!
Omg i am sooo stoked!! I love orchestral elements and the instrumental they 'released' sounds awesome!
Oh my goodness!! Christian meanings!!! Yay!! :)
Love everything that they stand for one of the best christian metal bands ever
Jerry Robles It makes me so happy to find christian bands that are in this genre. I'm glad i'm not the only one who feels that way :DD
+moshing muffins AMEN to that
thanks man! I appreciate this feedback greatly
I support the decision to have songs with screaming, without it. I will always support you guys.
Great interview and great guest keep up the hard work
Listen guys and gals, Matty has always wanted to do an album like this so if we were all true fans here we would fully support him, if you are here hoping for him to say this is going to be a brutal heavy album then your wrong, like Matty has said he wants to be the voice of a generation, keep in mind "Miles Away" is not a sceaming song. I completely support you MMF see you guys in July!
YAY!! I can't even put words to how happy I am!! I was jumping up and down in joy! MMF is the best band and such influence in my life of staying on the right track and having God in my sights
I cannot wait for the new album!
Glad to know he is a christian, I'm a muslim now, salam alaykum from Venezuela.
dude, miles away had no screaming on it and it was sick as fuck. matty has a sick range of vocalsso who gives a fuck. memphis may fire smash it with every song. soooo stoked for the next record!
Amen Glory to God
For sure for sure for sure
The squishy sound of his gum chewing distracted and annoyed me lol
Same😂
good interview and what not
1. quit chewing your gum in the mic
2. this was the awesome album that my parents sent me the lyrics to get the songs stuck in my head while at the hospital :D LUVED IT!!!!! you go Matty
a side note to the interview, but seriously... his hair though!! so smooth!
Everyone knows matty is a Christian a passionate one at that if he wants to incorporate his beliefs into his lyrics why does it matter? The sinner is a prime example you dont have to take on his beliefs just use them as positive inspiration you get tired if hearing negativity from popular bands and he is the rare few who doesn't do that if you don't like hearing him sing messages about Christ then dont listen
Breezy B it does because it ruins songs . Like religion ruins most things.
WHYxSOxSERiiOUS If the fact that a song is religious ruins it for you immediately then you are very closed-minded and have no understanding about art. Religious music has been written for hundreds of years. Some of the most popular and advanced music pieces written of all time were written for the Catholic church by composers such as J. S. Bach. If religion truly ruined music then music would not even exist.
WHYxSOxSERiiOUS douche bag maybe ppl would rather listen to positive stuff instead of satanic bs
Love how he truly lives for Christ
Does the new album have all of that gum chewing too?
glad you came to check it out dude! check out our issues interview too!
as long they make heavy songs with his screaming ill listen to them. their best songs are the heavy ones
You gotta remember though Miles Away is there most popular song and it has no screaming.
their*
Matty looks a whole lot like David Stevens from We Came As Romans
Okay minus Matty chewing on his gum this is really cool! I've always wanted to do an Australian version of this with our local bands. :)
I met Matty at South By So What and he was an awesome guy.
Just because it's not the usual Matty that you see in most interviews doesn't mean he's not a great guy. He was probably going through some shit before the interview, but he at least had the decency to sit through the entire interview and he gave it his all. c:
How those monsterous screams come out of that guy.... so much mind fuck xD
Matty would you please look ANY interviewer in the eye.. my god
thanks man! glad you dig it! we have tons of interviews coming up! thanks for the subscribe :)
Just bring back Sleepwalking, love every single Memphis album but Sleepwalking was so different from everything else and had such a great sound the whole way through and I would just love to hear some of that original sound again.
North Atlantic vs North Carolina is their masterpiece, followed by Ghost in the Mirror.
Damn People Take A Damn Seat , Its His Fucking Band Let Him Do What The Fuck He Wants To Do , Plus Stop Saying " Disapointing " Because You Haven't Heard The Damn Album , Ok , Ok So Stop Judging And Im 100 % Supportive Of What Hes Doing Because Hes Still Writing Songs That Will Help Others Feel Better .
IS THE GUM CHEWING NECESSARY
awesome dude!
I don't know man, I think the ice breaker questions are always nice. Plus Matty is such an upstanding dude, and I definitely didn't catch the vibe that he didn't want to be there. He was being real and genuine just like he always is.
Not a big fan of the religious part, although I do respect him and all people who believe as long as they do not surpress others with it. I really hope some sounds like The Hollow or the low grunts etc. Really psyched :D
I cant wait for the album im looking forward to the not screaming songs it will be good, not that i dont like Matty screaming i love it xD but will be good
i just wish they would go back to more of a style like the hollow, that album was soo good.
I've seen Memphis about 7 or 8 times and out of all those shows 5 of them were before The Hollow came out or during The Hollow cycle. Matty actually hung out with us outside the venue then went above and beyond to guest list us for the following day show cause we told him we were willing to drive 4 hours to it. He was the man but as of late (interviews, what he has to say on stage and other shit) he seems like his success got to his head. MMF has became like SWS based off the lead singers not the entire band. Still love Memphis and not hating just things me and my friends noticed having to had the change to hang with him
do you know how busy their schedule is now? did you not just listen to this interview? Im sure he'd love extra time to hang with his die hard fans, but remember he also has a family he leaves for months to play shows for us. Not hating on your comment i understand what you mean. Im from the gold coast australia, I've actually caught waves and hangout with the vocalist from parkway drive years ago but now they're much bigger they don't have time for that kind of stuff anymore. just appreciate how they do their best to travel everywhere to see all their fans, but also remember the sacrifices they make whilst doing so.
As far as the whole idea of fans focusing on the lead singer, that's all it is. It is the fans who are focusing on them. They interview who the fans want to hear. Yeah, I would love to hear from everyone, but that's unfortunately how it usually works - the lead singer gets all the attention. But that's what people demand. :/
I love Matty man! Check out my vocal cover of "Sleepless nights please!" :) Memphis May Fire - Sleepless Nights (Vocal Cover) HD
I have a feeling Matty doesn't like Cayem. :/ His most recent interview with Matty was even worse and Matty was kind of disrespectful.
Um Miles Away didn't have screaming in it whats wrong with no screaming?
Absolutely nothing is wrong with no screaming. :P It's more like, "what's wrong with the fans who bitch and complain about no screaming" lol Miles Away is honestly one of my favorite songs of theirs :)
IKR?!?! Miles away was great!
I saw u when u went into the tour bus then u have me one of ur flyers
wish he would had spit his gum out... other than that great interview and I love me some MMF
On warped tour. Just search youtube for it.
Huge MMF fan but a few things bugged me. Matty seems like such a cool dude in all the interviews i've seen, he doesn't seem MEAN in this, it just seems like it's the last thing he'd want to be doing. I understand it gets tiring doing nonstop interviews, but all you've gotta do is sit there, answer questions about yourself, and invest in it. The interviewer was so cool. Also, I don't care about his religious beliefs but I really am extremely skeptical about him incorporating them into his lyrics. He even said the songs would have a lot of meaning, I'm hoping we're not gonna get any "jesus blah blah blah" lyrics that i'm seeing from some religious bands nowadays, those do not have any personal or relatable meaning. Again, I don't care about what his beliefs are but i'm very skeptical about it being in the new lyrics.
Thanks for the complement man. In regards to matty, I'm not quite sure what was going on prior to me entering their bus, but matty seemed a little bit flustered before we conducted the interview. I was his only interview that day, so I'm not sure if he was annoyed to do multiple interviews, but he could have been dealing with something stressful. I know he handles a ton of business related things for the band, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just had other things on his mind. Hope you enjoyed the interview either way! :)
If it gives you any confidence, Christian death metal bands such as The Devil Wears Prada or As I Lay Dying incorporate their faith into their lyrics without the slightest preachiness. They're mostly about struggles people face in life, and while they're written from a religious perspective, it's never overt, it never even uses words such as "God" or "Jesus", and it's totally possible to interpret it from a non-religious standpoint. I wouldn't worry about it too much; other bands have successfully been just as hardcore with the added bonus of singing about topics they're truly passionate about in their music, and that comes across whether you're religious or not.
cayeminterviews I did enjoy it! Was just a little turned off that he was uninvested in the interview, even though you were one of the coolest interviewers i've ever watched.
I don't think he looked too disengaged, he just seemed distracted. And I'm super pumped to hear what Matty has to say regarding life, even if it includes his religion. I respect him.
I'm looking forward to the "religious" aspects of the album. If he did put "Jesus" into his lyrics, that would be cool! It is a little disrespectful to put "blah blah blah" after Jesus. I am not trying to start an argument over religion, I'm not even a religious person.
The icebreaker questions were stupid. How do you ask the lead singer of a famous band, on a filmed interview, which famous artist he would want to be dead...? I woulda been pissed too.
It's a light hearted question. It's creatively asking which musician they miss and which musician they dislike in today's society. If you don't like it then keep clicking. No need to be negative on here buddy.
cayeminterviews
You guys are awesome. You're doing an amazing job, keep it up, I love these interviews!
you must hate bryan stars lol
FINALLY an interview without his fucking glasses on, it's about fucking time.
mattyyy, don't hate on nicki. I love you both. you've saved my life/inspire me and she's just pure entertainment.
Haha I love MMF, but listen to him chewing that gum, and the way he talks, and the no eye contact. He's either massively egotistical, or anxious :b
Definitely anxious, he got a lot of preassure on those days with the fact that the band has been growing up so much, I'm seeing his latest interview and I just saw him more calm and comfortable, he finally found peace and become more stronger to be in music industry, so proud of him.
take the damn gum out matty lol
why it will not have screaming???????
We've been fans of MMF for a long time and totally support everything they're doing! Great musicians, awesome song writers, excellent performers, and down to earth dudes. The new songs on Unconditional sound as great as their last two albums! If you like them, we invite you to check out our band Spades And Blades too. We've got a new E.P. out on the ***** label - Sullen Musik, plus music videos up here on YT, and lots more at www.spadesandblades.com! We know there's a TON of other bands to check out, so we appreciate you taking the time to give us a listen. We couldn't be more grateful! =)
anyone have any guess of what the title is called ?
im soooooooo excited muhahahahahahah
Lmfao”yea.. not a fan.”
Oh well.. I have faith.
I don't want to step on any toes. I'll bring it up to other artists, but it just didn't seem like the right time and place during this interview.
So like, yea, that was a good interview, and what not
I see what you did there haha
You're Memphis May Fire, stop trying to be like Sleeping With Sirens. I'm definitely let down, but I will be waiting to hear this.
awh man
Parkway drive Memphis May fire and we came as Romans...... Ugh I wish
YES!
That gum chewing though...holy fuck, I wanted to cut my ears off
The gum chewing...It's driving me crazy.
Isn't rule number 1 of interviews not to chew gum!!! so annoyinnggggg
More blur plz
Gave*
ah mah gosh. I love Matty but that piece of gum is irritating xD
OMG if you dont like his spirituality then dont watch an interview about the band.
ugh hes chewing gum it sounds so annoying when he talks
yes! kill everyone who does this :|
Am I the only one who is annoyed by his gum chewing? Great interview besides that bro.
No offense Matty, but were you raised with no manners? Chew with your mouth closed or don't talk with gum in your mouth. Either way, it's a little unpleasant.
I love MMF but every time I watch this video/interview, I get more and more irritated by that stupid piece of gum
whoever filmed this doesn't know how to focus
the gum chewing.......no.....I just.... I cant....
Hey :D check out facebook.com/avariceatx you'd like the sound!
:)😇
I love this band but lyrically I hate them. Maybe this will change
***** some people are butt hurt cause Matty is a Christian
Im a christian. I just think that his lyric arent well thought
Is it me or is this video out of focus..it's kind of distracting.
The audio also isn't in sync with the video
I'm not a fan of Nikki Manaj either.
Those mouth noises… :/
Taking Album Advice From Kellin Quinn Isn't Smart ?
After All The Feel Album Did Suck Ass
If you actually were a fan of the band and not a clique lead singer humping fan you would know that KELLEN is a member of memphis may fire. Not kellin Quinn of sleeping with sirens.
hes talking about kellen mcgregor, the guitarist, not kellin quinn
So disappointed
Gawd. Why does he have to be so religious?!?!. Ugh
Because. Deal with it.
Why does that matter? lol
How can you believe in this DELIRIUM?
