Made some but I put the colour side of card to the inside, glued then sanded the white side slightly, mixed a tiny bit of glue in with the paint, we managed just one coat of paint. Thanks for sharing, my Grandaughters loved painting them.🌻
I thought I was the only one who used petrifier in beading, been using it for some time now. How ever I dip mine before any painting/coating of anything else. I have fun watching your site and have picked up a couple helpers from you. Have a great weekend.
I'm so glad you're picking up some useful information! :) I have not tried dipping before painting, but maybe I will give it a try to see if there's any difference.
I just love to make paper beads, but hate having to sand the sides of the flat beads, several times to get them smooth. In this particular type of bead, it just struck me, the portion just under the bale channel, could be wrapped in paper to cover the tough edges. What is your opinion?
You opened the world of paper beads to me THANK YOU
Awesome! It’s going to be hard to stop once you start. You better stock up on glue. 😉
Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
This technique is new to me. ❤
You learn something new every day 😊
For sure 😊
They do make acrylics for glass , so that might work better, or you could always use naul polish.
Thanks for the idea!
Add a tiny bit of washing up liquid and the paint will adhere much better to the shiny cardboard.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve never heard of that before but will give it a try!

I love this. Blessings and hugs 🤗
Thanks for watching, Susie!
Hey,
Why did you petrify after painting versus beforehand? I am inspired!
It gives it a bit of a glossy finish. You could do it either way, I suppose. 😀

I think it’s a great idea. I haven’t tried it but if you do, please let us know if you were able to achieve the look you are going for!
What music is this ? I know , I like it, just can't remember who it is. , I looked further and found it. It's so nice and relaxing ❤.
Glad you found it because I can’t remember now.
