Excellent tutorial! Cable coiling 101 right here. I’m a musician and have also worked in studios for many many years, and it’s shocking how many people don’t know how to properly care for audio equipment and gear.
The first thing I learned at the first studio I worked at, was how to properly wrap cables. The manager there was borderline OCD, and even militant regarding proper cable care. I learned real fast how to NOT lose my job……

100% right however, if you don't know this, the video here didn't give you a great view of his technique. This method is the only right way and is best taught in person. Due to the subtle twist of the fingers when inverting every other loop.
Get a friend who knows how to do this to show you how, and once you get it right, you will never forget like riding a bike. Also like riding a bike, it's a little tricky to get right.
Bottom line, it's very important.
