It's funny....I didn't think I'd love the foundation as much as BFF or the serum, but I do! Well....not more than BFF, but if you want more coverage, you'll LOVE it!
I also love Bff. The SPF 50 is also a beautiful light texture and slightly blurring also. I found lip to cheek looked pretty but disappeared quickly. Thank you for this video.
I love your hybrid Irish - American accent. Great make up and skin care tutorials.Really enjoying your channel. Kudos to Gary for helping out the ladies! 💚🤍🧡
It's supposed to be a "natural matte" finish, which I like. Thank you for reviewing the foundation. Eyeshadow looks very pretty on you, I like that slight transparency of it, Gary is right!
Thanks for this review. I listened to Trinny on Diary of a CEO and it was fascinating. At 59, I need to change up my products and wondered about this one.
Great review. I've been using Trinnys makeup since it's launch. Her skincare is really good. It'll be great to have her actual product to buy in Brown Thomas soon.
Hi , your video was great and you look so good . Can I just say that Trinny Woodall has been around since the 80 ,s not since the Millenium . She has inspired me my whole life . I totally agree with some of your comments regarding your “ go to products “ . I noticed you didn’t put the concealer directly to your eye for hygiene reasons and whilst it was so refreshing to finally see someone do this , it was designed the a flat plated end to apply direct to the eye as the chosen metal end has a cooling tip . Your skin looked beautiful and whilst I can see you favour the foundation ,please big up your make up too . I agreed with Gary reference your eye shadow . It was gorgeous and I couldn’t see any skin at all. The miracle blur is a fantastic product as you mentioned , however it is a serum type consistency and I use it to diminish fine lines , it does not work the same as the powder . Just a touch is a potted foundation and you may like to try that too . The glosses are not meant to give colour so if used alone you can’t expect colour , I use Bella the same as you and your lips looked so much better for it . Try the purple tube SPF it’s gorgeous.
I am really getting into this brand, thanks to you. I use the foundation and Blur and yes, it's still available. It's in a small pot but a little goes a long way once you warm it between your fingers. I am curious though. When you first started this video, was it the BFF Skin Corrector or the D-Stress? Thank you for a fantastic video from a fantastic brand!
It was the BFF Cream. I did try the Destress is another video and LOVED it. That's why I wasn't sure I'd like the foundation. But clearly, I was wrong 🤣
I like Trinny makeup its my rushing out of the house makeup on trains thing but i was pretty lucky with the matches i love the freddie blush and faith eye and sunlight highlighter haven't done the skin care though great video
Good Friday Morning Mary, oh And the mystical man Gary. Lol😂 Very pretty. At 62, my skin is so so dehydrated. Not really dry, what oils are they you using ? I purchased Ayreveda Experience Hydrating Face Oil, Fig Oil from Byroe, and Sonage Nutrition Face Oil. Loving, Loving them for these cold winter days. I’ve got to go back and watch your other videos on Trinny London as even with a face primer, my foundations ( I use very little) settles into my wrinkles, sooo I too find they age me more so. I will also watch Trinny Londons tutorial. The makeup looks really natural and pretty on you. Ok Mary, we’re waiting for Your Essences and Face Mist video 😢😅😊. Have a safe, fun weekend.
Haha I know, I'm still collecting and trying different essences. There are some real winners!! As for oil, my holy grail oil is True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil. I've been using it longer than I've had this channel. Not cheap but it lasts fooorrreeevvvveeerrr. All my American girlfriends use it as their moisturser go.shopmy.us/p-2749427 During the winter I use every single day. I have to. My super dry skin demands it. And it's soooo lovely under makeup. It just fills everything in and plumps up!
@@SkinObsessedMary ok Mary, we want to see how and why you use particular essences. lol. Which ones help with dehydrated under eyes and face. Pleaseeeeee. I love Bryoe fig oil and Sonage Nutrient face oil.
I've also been looking into RMS and Trinny. Like you said, it's difficult when you can't choose the colors in person. PS I really liked seeing your brows a bit more defined. I think it makes a big difference in framing your face. 👍
Thank you! Dermablading the brows much such a difference! I’ve been wearing both the Trinny and RMS on repeat (though I need a darker shade of RMS I’ve decided)…
LOVE LOVE LOVE the BFF and eye serum… not a fan of the lip to cheek (feels too sticky on my cheeks) … LOVE the eye 2 eye… it’s subtle which is exactly why I love it!!!! Funny how folks have different feelings about products 😊
Ooooh that's SUCH a good question. I mean, if I could only buy 1? Hmmm. I adore Aimee's Second skin for flawlessness, I love RMS for staying power and Aimee's Tint & Glow I use for every day. Don't make me choose!
Love Trinny BFF (thanks to you!) QQ: Does it ever pill on you? I've had this happen a couple of times and not sure what I'm doing wrong?🤔 Keep up the great work Mary 🥰
Hmmm... I haven't really had that problem. I probably wouldn't repurchase if I did. I do wait quite a few minutes between skincare and BFF application. I wonder if that makes a difference 🤔
Hi Mary, I ordered some of the Trinny products you recommended. I really like the BFF and lip/cheek color. I have a question....is it me or there is very little product in the undereye concealer?
6ml (.2fl oz) is a pretty small container but I'd bet the farm it would take me forever to get through it. I also have other concealers in constant rotation so (RMS Beauty, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear & Ayu Instant UnderEye Concealer)...
Mary, I'm looking into the Jovs pro laser for smoothing the textured orange peel on my mature chin, & am wondering what you think of the Jovs laser? Thank you kindly!
It's so funny you mention that....I'm doing a video on Friday! I've been using for months now and I'm super impressed. Now, I'm targeting discolouration, which is different. But have a look on Friday :)
I’m absolutely with you on the eye shadows. When she’s demonstrating them and constantly refers to them as a ‘wash’ of colour, to me just means there’s not enough pigment and for the price I want to be able to see it!
Hi Mary, I think I must have missed the video with the RMS concealer. Did you try their beauty oil with the concealer like they show on their website? I have super dry skin too. Especially, now in Minnesota, so using the combo sounded really appealing to get that tinted moisturizer type product. Btw, what shade did you order in the RMS?
It's soo funny you mention about the RMS oil. I started mixing the foundation with a rad bit of oil just to get that glow and when I went back loook into more of the range (I want to do a full face video) I saw her mix it with oil. I laughed out loud 🤣 My colour is 22 but I've learned it's too light. I have to mix with bronzing drops. I have emailed (and chatted on DM) to ask what would be the next best match, but haven't heard back. I'm DEFINITELY going to order a darker version. It's SO good.
@SkinObsessedMary There appears to be a worldwide shortage of the beauty oil. I'm constantly checking all the sites and I can't find it. I've been searching since Black Friday!
That is a very good question, I think they're both excellent and quite comparable so I think you'd be happy with either. Right now, I'm reaching for the Trinny more. But of course, that could switch at any time. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help!
As you said Mary, Trinny’s lip products are either too dry or too sheer for me. De-stress is hands down my favourite “ foundation”.. just the right amount of coverage for my taste. What I can never get my head around though is how any of the skin care ingredients in it can actually benefit my skin when they’re being applied over so many previous layers of products (serum, moisturiser and spf 50) Could the skin care in a cosmetic product get through all of that and still have an effect? I have slight issue with those deep pots, I have to say… if the idea is that they make application simple… just use finger tips to apply… it doesn’t work for me, I can’t get my finger tips into the pot for my even slightly long nails! 😅
I totally agree on all points. I LOVE Destress but I won't repurchase until I've finished up the foundation - I think it's outstanding. Pots are definitely not my favourite either, although they make travel easy. But I never reapply and I don't take makeup with me during the day so it's sort of wasted on me.
So funny! Gary literally said what I was thinking - I thought it looked like you had good color on your lids. I'm sure it looked a bit different in person. I personally like those colors for myself and prefer them to be less opaque. I like a cool bronze sometimes. While it may not have been super opaque, I feel like it gave you a lovely wash of color on your lids for a light makeup day, although settling into the creases is not ideal. I AM excited about the first BFF cream that's in your Holy Grail status. It's really hard to find anything to put on my face because of my freckles. If I use something that has more than the smallest amount of coverage, my freckles (or lack thereof) look too strange. So I never wear anything. It's like I need something to tone down the red, but not cover the freckles overmuch. This sounds like it might work! I also thought the longer wearing foundation looked lovely on you. I think there's a new definition for matte, meaning not juicy looking. The new matte seems to be a more subtle glow. I like it! Looking lovely as always The Mary! 😍
Aww thanks so much Elizabeth. That's so interesting about your freckles and foundation. But you don't need foundation anyway so you're all set! But the BFF might be worth a try. It's just magic in a tube 🤣
@@SkinObsessedMary Awww - thanks back lady! It doesn't seem like you need foundation either, but it's fun to have something on those few days we'd like a little somethin' extra!
I agree about the eyeshadows - they don’t go on easily and the colour fades to almost nothing as soon as it dries down. Shame, as all the other products are great
