📝📝🚩 TODAY/TONIGHT'S ACTIVITY REPORT:
Finn, Laverne, Roo and Steve had a nice lazy day in the Kastle. Max stayed in the palmz.
Not all owlet activity is documented since report capacity is limited.
~4:00 Kanga restarted the broadcast to see if the chat retention glitch is on his end. It's not. It's a RUclips glitch.
8:30 Laverne out
8:33 Laverne off and Roo out
8:34 Finn out. Finn off and then Roo off
8:39 Owlet on porch, hops down to the PG and begins an impressive pouncing session with some pretty fancy talon-work.
8:41 Steve hops to porch with gusto
8:46 Owlet joins Steve on porch and continues the pouncefest on the roof and elsewhere. Such fun!!

11:37 Two owlets on perch watching a 3rd owl above them, swings around and lands on the boom
11:41 Boom owl takes off
11:42 One perch owlet takes off down trail

11:50 Owl flew by box towards the boom and is in palm (according to Finn's body language)

🔔Baby ages as of 7/10/23 at 9:00pm:
Max: 81 days
Finn: 78 days
Laverne: 76 days
Roo: 74 days
Steve: 72 days
Facts: For 1st exit=50 to 60 days. Branching= 55 to 60 days. Usual 1st full flight= 60 to 70 days. Adult Owl @ Day 80. Usually fully fledged between 86-90 days.
**The Treat Fairy (TF) has been helping to supplement feedings on some days. It will not be a daily occurrence and Kanga will make the determination if and when it will happen, based on a variety of factors. Mel and Syd are still actively delivering.
***Also, a Mystery Owl (MO) has been at the box quite regularly. It appears to be a young owl, possibly a fledgling since it is squawking for food. Mel and/or Syd have delivered several treats to the MO.
🪶🪶It is with sadness that we report the passing of Mel and Syd's youngest owlet, "#6". The baby passed on May 14th, 2023 at 2:15am at the age of 11 days old. #6 was a true fighter all the way up until the moment she passed. Fly free, little one. ❤️Thank you for blessing the Kastle with your presence.
