Supersad seeing the destrcution but also how the entire center of the village has been abandoned. My dad had a hair salon in that village and I used to ride my bike around those houses, buy candy in a kiosk (seated where you said is a hair salon), and the whole village was quite idyllic. My dads hair salon was in the space where you entered through the broken glass door. At the end it was a doctors office of some sort.

I personally am so tired of over edited, highly produced urbex videos. It may be an unpopular opinion, but when I see a urbex video, all of that takes away from the raw beauty that can be found in abandoned areas. I would rather see it all… old man belches, farts, trips, spits, laughter… all of it. I think it makes for better content. Btw… I commented on your Instagram about wearing a mask because I’m an asthmatic as well, and yes… I do agree that it’s a good idea. You just don’t know what is floating around in these kinds of places! Hi to Fisk’s cousin, btw! Thanks for keeping Fisk safe. 😉

    • @SvengelskaBlondie
      @SvengelskaBlondie 17 дней назад

@kricku No, there's lots of places in the far north that are decent. My issue with living there is mostly the depopulation that's happened and that it's insanely far north. The most northern parts I could think of moving to are around Rättvik/Borlänge and that's slightly more than a third up the country.
Our summers are short enough as they are, they are even shorter further up north.
At one point I could have been ok with being further north, if the electricity was cheap (wanted to grow my own food). Sadly that didn't go well when vattenfall decided to close down several of our nuclear power plants.
Whenever I check for cheap houses, so many of them are in the upper half of Norrland. That might not sound far north, it's roughly the same as the more northern parts of Alaska. Might be worth it for someone, for me that's way too north (unless I get desperate and just want to move to another place).

@MediocreExplorations This being your first IRL content it was great! I instantly subbed when i saw the announcement video. A few tips for future explorations; potect yourself againt debris, you already noticed all the glass around, same goes for rusty metal object. Long sleeves and no shorts ( i know Swedish summer aint no joke but rather be uncomfy for a bit then get hurt) you can change back when you get back to the car. Also like you said, respirators are a good thing to have due to mold and bad air quality in genral. Take first aid kits with you and spare in the car. Buy some flashlights so you dont need to use you phone and drain the battery so you can use it in case of emergency.
Also dont use a flame to light up dark spaces especially in badly ventilated spaces and cellars. Callers/basements and closed off bad ventilated spaces can contain low oxygen levels and possibly high CO content, also know as "dead air", make sure you feel some kind of draft, if your not sure its most likely not worth the risk, a respirator wont do you any good in those situations, you need oxygen in the first place to filter out any contaminations.
Old buildings most likely contain asbestos and old paints can contain lead, usually doors windows and radiators among other things were coated in lead paint. Most of these things require a good respirator to protect yourself and i should wear a pair of gloves. Its all up to you guys but it would be a shame if Fiskypooo got hurt😢😮😂

    Hello Fisk,
This a subscriber from your gaming channel for about 2yrs now, that being said. CONSIDER SAFETY PROTOCOLS!
I've been trained by multiple safety professionals due to my line of work. I would love for you to keep doing this without complications.
Firstly, before entering the premises General Rule - Do not expose your skin to surfaces inside or outside the premises, it may or may not contain known or has YET to be known viruses and bacteria's. "This rule is only applied when entering a premises that has been abandoned or has been in a poor condition."
Secondly, WEAR Protective Gear: Shoes - Steel Toe Boots, Lower Body - Jeans "well-fitted" , Upper Body - Jackets or Long sleeves ( don't wear hoods), Head - Hard Hat / Thick layered cap (for casual), Gloves - Ribbed Rubber/ Thick cotton gloves.
and lastly, Bring a Flashlight with a wide range ( can cover a single room).
ALWAYS BRING A WHISTLE ! used ONLY if stuck, under severe stress and in need of immediate assistance.
    Keep Safe,

Not just masks for mold, but just as much to protect your lungs from asbestos in these old buildings.

@@MediocreExplorations Hey dudes. Great video. Good to see you treat these abandoned buildings with respect, unlike some who had been there before. Also worth buying are some good safety/work boots with steel or similar in the soles; glass shards, rusty nails etc. are a bastard if they get through your shoes and into your feet. Anyway, keep up the great work!

The houses are all empty so the people have just moved out long time ago. And then the houses got smashed up by young trailer trash people.
I think most Swedish people woul get upset how people break in and smash the place up.
Because i find most Swedish people are verry respectfull of eachother (most of the time)

I used to have a friend who’s dad lives in one of the houses further down that road and I saw it a couple of times. Me and her used to go and sit outside the abandoned store to take a smoke. Back then it was just boarded up and no broken windows and there were still people living in some of the apartments. I think it was around 2020 me and her hung out at her dads place. It is really sad to see how much things have changed since then 😔 I’m planing to take my friend and explore next summer and I’ll definitely bring masks, gloves and a med kit for safety reasons if we decide to go into any of the buildings
