had this on my X since release date. bumper + front and rear glass protectors = the best case i’ve ever owned. no cracks, yet sooo many drops. i only got a new case today because i had to get a new phone through apple care, and my case was pretty beat. upgraded to the crashguard NX. only complaint about the new one is the volume buttons aren’t clicky and kinda hard to press, though my phone looks brand new. i will say, the bumper scratched the hell out of the stainless steel on my previous iphone. with how tight this one is, i can already tell that it’ll do the same to this one. it’s a painnnn to get on and off. at least i got the silver iphone which can be polished if needed. that said, it’s genuinely my favorite case of all time, and it looks so good

Just because the outside looks ok doesn’t mean the force won’t carry through to the inside of the case. I ‘had’ a phone that had this case. I used to drop my phone a lot and when I wondered why my phone would die a lot faster than usual I decided to get it checked. The battery was damaged on the inside due to a chip on the corner of the battery. In settings, my phone was in peak performance at 77%. That means my battery was degraded 33% it’s normal range. I got a new case after I repaired my old battery and I’m using it right now with no complications.
I bought the rhino shield and the bumper was loose at the bottom. I emailed them and got lousy responses saying that there is a tolerable difference between their case design and apples specs. Not to mention the bumper and back plates are all slick in the hand...no wonder they need all that protection. Given their price point I would’ve expected better. Replaced it with a better quality case.
A glass screen protector 'needs' to break to full absorb a majority of the impact. If it doesn't break, the shock will carry through to the LCD and potentially break it, while the the screen protector is intact.
or you can understand it the other way. The stiff protector can transfer all the energy from otherwise small contact surface area to larger one, thus making the phone's screen absorb energy into more area rather than a small area, which is more likely resulted to shatter. but yeah , you are right, the protector isnt absorb much, just make the energy transfer more optimised for the phone to withstand it, in theory at least.
I’ve had the screen protector for about 2 weeks and it’s already got so many scratches it looks totally shit. The case doesn’t even fit my phone correctly and when i contact the support they don’t care to answer or do anything about it. Do not buy any of their trash products. Waste of money
Quick question: If you use the mod in bumper mode, is the camera lens exposed to get scratched? I ordered the mod with front/back protectors, but I see it does not cover the camera lens. Do you have any concerns about the camera lens being exposed? Did your drop tests show any damage to the camera lens? Thanks!
you should do a comparison between the rhinoshield and dbrand "ecosystem" using the mod case with back and screenprotector vs the grip case with a skin and the prism skin protector.

The iPhone X is safe as Apple stopped using LCD. The screen will only fail if the actual glass breaks and lets moisture in.
