Just bought a bottle of this to try and fix the small leaks in my inflatable keel.. 🤞hope it works! Excellent videos thank you (was able to fix my sea eagle transom thanks to these)
Thank you for showing this. It is amazing. I study how leaks are treated on inflatables for marine application and try to apply them for use on airtracks used for gymnastics. Leaks like this can be found on welded joints and normally not on glued joints regarding airtracs. Is it the same for marine PVC inflatables? The solution you show may work on some of the former welded airtracks used, that starts to leak along the joints. For welded joints the vinyl starts to crack, because the applied temperature for welding make the PVC more brittle, that decrease durability and increase mechanical fatigue.
The materials are almost similar between the two. As long as your inflatable mats don't have constant airpumps pumping to fill the chambers up, like on blow up castles, then the sealant would work on almost any inflatable.
@@gashopperinc Thanks. Airtracs with constant air pumps are considered "old way" for gymnasts past 12 years. The airtracks used for gymnastics today are air tight and is supposed to keep pressure a day of use without a pump. So they are not like these castles at all. This is an airtrac in use: ruclips.net/video/75ZEIuesl0Q/видео.html
Thanks for your video. My rubber dingy only has pin holes/slow leaks in the rubber floor. Any suggestions for an easy fix besides patches? I've gone the patch route and would like to do a rubber paint for spray if possible to seal holes and possible reinforce the remaining life of the rubber floor. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. I've got another video where the video didn't get re-edited due to copyright music like this one happened. And most audio was overlapped. The sealant is a great option for sealing pins holes. Another route is to recover with a new layer of fabric, and it will also add an additional layer of protection.
@@gashopperinc Thanks for the reply! Is there a particular sealant that you would recommend? If I went the new fabric route, what/where specifically should I buy? Is it a general rubber sheet or does it have a specific name? Thank you!!
Also, how does one go about finding a leak for a chamber that is not fully exposed? For example, I have an inflatable kayak, where part of the chamber is hidden beneath another layer/section of the boat that partially covers the chamber and is also attached to the floor section of the kayak (which by the way, it is a drop-stitched floor). Since the chamber is partially beneath a larger section, I cannot spray or even see where the leak might be coming from.
Thank you for the great video! I’m considering trying this on my Hobie Inflatable kayak. My question is, when this sealant dries, will I still be able to deflate and fold my kayak back into its bag for storage/travel, or does the sealant dry rigid and non-ply-able? Thank you in advance!
the sealant once dried, becomes a rubbery latex coating. the more you work it and agitate it, the quicker it dry's. it's very plyable and does a amazing job at sealing leaks from the inside out.. youll be able to deflate and inflate without any issues. weve been using it as a quick alternative to save some clients hundreds $$$ in repairs when there's lots of micro leaks, seam leaks and what not.
Yes, it is best to roll it. If you can't cause it's to heavy, you can always try putting it in the chambers when the chamber is completely flat and smooth it through the chamber. Or unless you have a sprayer you can stickninside the tube, that works also.
Whats the soap/water ratio that you use for this and what kind/brand soap do you use? I seem to always either use too much or too little soap and it either doesn't work at all, or comes out too soapy/suddy and defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish haha
Hey man I've got this same boat. It's just been given to me. Thanks for the product demo I'll definitely try it out but I'm wondering if this model is hapylon or pvc? I've been looking around and cannot confirm what the material is. Thanks again.
Hello I'm down in Australia and checked out your test on Super seal I have the same problem with my Quicksilver 3.3 tube but I need to find a supplier down here I don't want to pay $250 for freight as well as $60 odd dollars for the sealant. I might as well buy a new dinghy, do you Know if this great product is available in Oz without having to sell the house and wife, Les
You can contact our shop directly, I'll be able to find a better rate for you then $250. It's generally $50-$80 shipping through general post to Australia. Just have to contactbus through email. Our website checkout has become wonky for Shipping since Canada Post did a system change.
Unfortunately due to copyright music that was playing in the background, the different audio that was used ended up ruining the video and made the video somewhat unwatchable. I re-did this video with a different boat. Have a look for it.
Thanks for posting.

Update - seems to have done the trick. Wicked.
Glad my videos are helping you keep your boat afloat.

Thanak for the helpful and honest review !

is useful thanks for sharing
Can this be used on a drop stitched inflatable paddle board?
It certainly can.
Hi, what do you think about Narwhal inflatable boats? I'm thinking of buying the "Narwhal C-400" model, but I can't find anything about it.

What kind of kayak?

Do you need to rotate the rubber boat to get the liquid to reach all the inner surface area? My Caribe hypalon FG V bottom boat is heavy.

To be honest, we just big 3 big squirts from the big Palmolive soap bottle for our ratio into the sprayer.

This product isn't available anywhere but his own store?
It's available at other places orher then our store. I've seen it listed on eBay and I know Stryker Boats has it is stock also.
What type of silicone did you use
it a product called Super Seal
Will it work on the main tubes as well?
works with all tubes on inflatable boats
I cant find this product anywhere!
We have it listed on our store website, but have also seen it listed on ebay as well.
Can't find it on Amazon unless it's 175.00
Isn't sold on Amazon unfortunately
Fix-a-flat!!!
How did you make that hose attachment? That would save me a ton of time hand pumping
Air gun attahments my friend!!!
How much is required to seal a 12.5' boat?
1 1/2 jugs will do a that you see in the video if all chambers are leaking.
Talking about what you are doing would be better than the music
The music overlay is annoying and distracting from the content. Please just speak and describe whats happening. this isnt a video game.

I like the music. It's in my Playlist now
Annoying music , too loud
DUMP TRUMP
