Crouch Jr. and Quirrell laughs in Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff might actually be the only house which hasn't turned anyone dark (We do not speak about the cursed child)
The books never say salazar thought muggle borns were not worthy of learning magic, it says he didnt consider them worthy of trust, also says that hogwarts was built to protect young wizzards on a time when wizzards were chased and killed by muggles, so my guess is he thought someone with a close relation to muggles could betray them and lead muggle armies to the castle.
@Carlos I'd continue saying that Salazar was misinterpreted all along. He was indeed a nice person. His motive of making the snake chamber was to protect his school and students in case of muggle attack. The chamber has a connection with the room of requirement. In case of a mass muggle attack on the school, the students and staff will take shelter in the room of the requirement. At the same time, the chamber of secrets will open, basilisk coming out, start roaming the school and kill all the unworthy intruders. When the war is over, slytherin or his heir or any one from his family will come out first, ordering the basilisk to go back to its bathroom chamber. Then the students and teachers will come out and voila.
My other theory suggests that slytherin had made some of arrangements or had an idea of doing so, that a heir of him would always be present in the school. Either in the form of a student or teacher, to pass on the legacy and control the basilisk for security of the school, students, teachers against the muggle attacks. Due to the un described reasons, the other 3 founders didn't accept or like his plan. Resulting in Salazar being angry and walking away with his unfinished plan left at the school
If Rowling wanted even more money she'd write a book for each founder of Hogwarts. A book about their lives and what they went through until they meet the others. Each book would end the same and tie everything together

merlin is literally ‘the greatest sorcerer to ever walk the earth’ in the books (hp),the show (bbc) and the legends (arthurian) so obviously he’s the most powerful slytherin
@@Ahmed-vs1ui I mean if we go of the characterisation in the series he is either Slytherin or Hufflepuff but I think he was too dark for Hufflepuff in S 5
I think everybody from that generation (Sirius, James, Lily, Severus, Lucius etc.) were portrayed by quite a bit older actors than the characters were said to be. Like, James and Lily were killed in their twenties.
Given the fact back in dark ages witches were burned alive for just existing, I feel like Salazar's hatred for muggles and muggleborn is totally justified, not taking in count that during that time, inviting a wizard from not magic background in school was such a risk in itself
True, however when you bring that to today's context ..wizards are made to slither around in secret. Forced to by their own government for fear of muggles finding out. Kinda the same
@Benevolent Hue I wouldn't say Voldemort and Snape were equal because we just never got substantial evidence Snape was ever even as close to as much of a prodigy as we know Tom was. I still think Dumbledore is more powerful, Id even argue for Grindelwald (personal bias), and it would be cool if Merlin was up there. Not surprising either. Not to say Snape isn't a very powerful wizard, he is.
Definitely I think Merin was the most powerful Wizard ever second Dumbledore 3rd Voldemort Dumbledore would of kicked Voldemorts butt if not for the Horcruxes
Royen Jordy I don’t really think so, before he gets sorted I’m pretty sure he didn’t really prioritize bravery (because of his upbringing there’s no way he was Gryffindor brave at the time of his sorting) however he had the potential to learn bravery in that house which is why he was even considered for Gryffindor in the first place. Even throughout the books we see Harry’s personality and his priorities, to me, be very Slytherin like, with just a hint of bravery when it counts. Idk I think Harry would have settled just fine in Slytherin and would have been placed there for sure had he not met Ron or Hagrid before getting sorted, and I don’t think it’s only because of the horcrux
I thought it was pretty obvious that the only reason why he was considered in slytherin is because he had a piece of voldemort in him. He is obviously a true gryffindor, and i could name MANY reason as to why he isn’t Slytherin.
javiera pradel I mean I always saw the golden trio as folds of the other house. Hermione obviously would have done well in Ravenclaw, Ron I think fits a more hufflepuff image and Harry for Slytherin. To be fair, the Gryffindor house stands for bravery and that’s pretty much it, we see Hufflepuff stand for loyalty patience hardwork and truthfulness, Ravenclaw stand for intelligence creativity and individuality, and Slytherin stand for ambition cunning resourcefulness and leadership. In this regard you could make the claim that every Gryffindor could belong to another house other then Gryffindor because the other houses embody more personality traits. At the end of the day, Harry asked the sorting hat to put him in Gryffindor, and I think that coupled with the fact that the hat probably saw his potential to be brave in the future led the hat to sort him there, but I’d make a strong case that he really would have done just as well in Slytherin
Ummm.... Not really. Dumbledore could equate Lord Voldemort in power when he truely possessed the Elder Wand, which means without the Elder Wand, Dumbledore was weaker than Voldemort. Therefore, just because Dumbledore did not have an honorary order does not necessarily mean that Voldemort was weaker than Merlin too. And Dumbledore himself says that Voldemort has knowledge of magic, beyond anyone else (even himself and Grindelwald).
@@mohinirai2768 yes but that was just an example he is fabled to be very powerful and beyond the likes that other wizards could ever compare to plus he understanded all forms of magic where as voldemort could not understand love
@@lokislols6765 Well, yes! If you read most classics, Merlin is said to be beyond compare, the wisest and most powerful of all. But, if you are referring to Rowling's magical world, Voldemort is beyond doubt the most powerful. And yes, he is not the greatest villain, for he does not understand the power of love, and he is not the most dangerous either, because Dumbledore did not hesitate to face him like he did with Grindelwald, thus there were powerful people willing to fight Voldemort. But Dumbledore says love is the most powerful thing, and yet, Voldemort survived the killing curse in Godric's Hollow that was reflected due to Lily's 'Shield of Love', Thus proving that though Voldemort did not understand love, he couldn't be defeated by it either, hence proving HIM to be beyond compare. That's my opinion 🙂
@@mohinirai2768 but he was because he could not harm any of hogwarts students because of love as said at the show down in the book plus lilys love is what kept harry alive when voldimort killed him but i see your point
Considering how Merlin is basically a god in everything else I'm pretty sure he's got to be far stronger than Voldemort since Rowling obviously included him in her books
Merlim indeed was the most powerful wizard in history. Dumbledore himself couldn't hold him, (if they were alive at the same time, of course) but Merlim in fact was good and aged well in favor of the Muggles.
@@safiyahibrahim1192 I think Grindelwald would be a Ravenclaw based on his wide knowledge of magic and Dark magic. Grindelwald could and may have combined both for more powerful spells during his reign of terror.
I dont know much about grindelwald but if he studied magic on his own i would assume he'd be a ravenclaw since smart people who like to study and stuff go to ravenclaw
@@Sans-Undertale Smart people who like to study go to Ravenclaw? I think it'd have to do with who you are as a person. Tom Riddle was the most intelligent one. A living prodigy. Master of manipulation. Seeker of all knowledge when it came to magic. We know this when he sought the philosophers stone. The Elder Wand. Sneaking into the restricted section in the Library reading dark magic.
If Snape can keep Voldemort out of his head when one of Voldemort’s specialties was to be able to read minds, that’s a pretty powerful wizard. Would still put him at number 4 but I would talk more greatly about him.
Not only that but Voldemort was one of the if not the most powerful Legilimens in existence. He was able to invade minds with just a simple glance and was even able to force people to go insane.
In regards to Merlin being taught by Salazar Slytherin, while I do believe that he had to have trained by the man, wouldn’t he have also clashed with his Head of House in regards to his beliefs about Muggles and Muggleborns? Given what Merlin did with King Arthur, wouldn’t that be in complete opposition to Salazar’s misgivings about Muggles and Muggleborns?
Well one could be taught by someone and not believe everything they do, I'm sure I don't share the same political beliefs as my fencing instructor lol. Also it's possible he wouldn't have been fully aware of it when younger and learning the basics then as he got older started clashing with him more and more.
It has always bothered me that Merlin was in Slytherin. It isn’t from hating on Slytherin but it is obvious that JK didn’t know Merlin’s back story. The fact is Merlin has literally none of Slytherin’s traits. I has aspects of every other house but Slytherin. Plus he was raised by his mother who was muggle. That would automatically rule out Slytherin. My guess based on his Values and traits that Merlin would be a Gryffindor. Although there is a strong argument for Hufflepuff. Also very likely he would have been centuries old when Hogwarts was founded.
@@classicmiriam Merlin was a druid, not a warlock or a wizard. The type of magic is very different. Rowling did not take into account our conception of Merlin's legend. I think she made her own and included it in her books without a detailed explanation.
I think it’s safe to say the top 5 would look a lot different had Rowling expanded in more detail on the extended universe to the degree Martin or Tolkien did and Merlin is for sure #1 spot.
jack rogers That answer lacks imagination. Would he have accompanied Harry into the forest? Which side would he have fought on in the aftermath of Harry’s supposed death? Would he have fought Voldemort with McGonagall, Slughorn and Kingsley? How would Snape be perceived by his fellow wizards? Would his relationship with Harry change? Would Harry have still named his son after him or would he name him after Lupin? Would he have been reinstated as headmaster? How powerful would he have grown to be? Would his guilt ease a little knowing he helped Lily’s son? There’s lots of angles to go from regarding my question.
jack rogers and that is why I would like a video made on the question I asked. A more in depth analysis of Snape’s survival is an interesting topic for a Harry Potter theory channel. It’s a question I’ve pondered often being a huge Potter head myself. I enjoy hearing other people’s take on it. Thank you for your answer 😃.
jack rogers also there’s no way Snape could rejoin Voldemort in the forest. Remember Voldemort thinks he needs to kill Snape in order to possess the Elder wand. If Snape goes to the forest alive Voldemort will try to kill him again. He also can’t rejoin the Order of the Phoenix because they still think he’s a traitor and Snape not being a coward means he will want to help fight meaning he will need to bide his time until he can help fight in the battle.
Good list. I would have switched #1 with #2. Merlin more powerful. Like Dumbledore, they might not have used the Dark Arts Doesn't mean they didn't know it.
um quirrell was in ravenclaw. look: Professor Quirinus Quirrell (26 September,1967 or earlier - 4 June,1992) was a half-blood wizard who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was Sorted into Ravenclaw House
Imagine snape as a main character, brewing potions to consume to buff himself before fights. The thing about potions is the endless potential; a potion that makes u temporarily faster, or stronger, or sturdier, or a potion that increases your senses. The possibilities are almost endless. It would be cool to see a main character in the HP universe utilize potions very frequently
And there's Professor Sulghorn too! He was really friendly, not to mention Professor Snape (I know he was initially a death eater but he did turned to the good side) so not all Slytherins are bad
@@priyalshailesh9348 Snape may not have fought for the "bad side", but he was not a good guy. He bullied kids all the time, I mean when Neville has to think about what he finds scariest in the world it's Snape
Honorable mention: Dolohov, the best duelist amongst death Eaters only behind Bellatrix and he was only beaten by Flitwick, one of the greatest duelist of the era. Extremely underrated imo.
Thank you for not simply referring to Slytherin as "the bad house". I read a quote comparing Griffindor and Slytherin that sums up Slytherin's strengths nicely: "A Griffindor would rush in and die to save his or her friend. A Slytherin would find a way for them both to live". Very little in the HP series falls neatly into the "good/evil" dichotomy, including Slytherin house. It's one of my favorite things about the series. As much as I enjoy reading/watching videos about my favorite characters, I also love discovering how some of my least favorites have redeeming qualities.
Me personally, I think that Harry would’ve developed his own beliefs in regards to Muggles and Muggleborns; I think that because his mother was a Muggleborn, Harry would not be as cold against Muggleborns, and use his fame to change the ideas and views of Slytherin House, and gather his own group of Slytherins, and strive to reunite the four Houses by making friends with the Muggleborns in each House. Obviously he won’t be as close friends with Hermione if she’s in Gryffindor and he’s in Slytherin, but they’ll still be friends, but Ron will obviously want nothing to do with him, and will try to undermine Harry’s efforts to unite Gryffindor and Slytherin House.
Merlin was a Slytherin however he cared about muggles! He didn’t join the dark side and he was a good person so I think that it’s not being Slytherin that makes you evil it’s just that your surrounded by people who care about heritage because that’s an attribute of the house anyway those people scar you and hurt you so much that you can become bad if you aren’t a good person naturally it’s easier if you are naturally kind and pure blood doesn’t mean you can’t survive and be good after if you are half blood (now when I say lower I mean you don’t have any magical parents not that you are a disgrace)
I believe it is general idea/theory that Merlin was so great that he passed into legend because people could not believe how capable he was. Having no equal and non to outshine him. Although I can understand Voldemort in some cases being 'more powerful' due to the levels he would go to, but I think even Dumbledore himself would say Merlin is better than he.
Read a theory that why Hagrid makes the Slytherin remark is because Dumbledore asked him to, because he wanted to nudge Harry away from the choice he knew he'd have with the sorting hat.
I think I know what you mean do you mean when slytherin was made to start acting better, after the second wizarding war, well it remained the same 4 houses.
Because the other founders didnt think that Slytherin's students should be punished by the consequences of Salazar's choices. It wasnt their fault and they had nothing to do with it.
Cassie Santillano I would like to think that there are dark wizards from other houses just like Wormtail and Quirrell. In fact, the rules of the death eaters accepts every other house members not only Slytherin which is something that we need to appreciate for tbh.
@@DaRozeman At the time of the Philospers stone, he didn’t know about Lockheart being evil and he thought Pettigrew was dead so he wasn’t entirely wrong with the knowledge he had, it just got outdated
You could also make a case for 🥇Antonin Dolohov🥇 who was often praised for his power among the death eaters. He was able to kill Lupin in Hogward, and two members of the order of the phoenix in the first war. Against the protagonists : he beat Ron and Harry before being incapacitated by Hermione. The only Wizard who was able to defeat and finally kill him one on one was Filius Flitwick who is the Duelling champion.
Wasn’t dumbledore in slytherin house? If I recall the hat either told him he’d do good in slytherin or put him in slytherin. After all let’s not forget in his young years I’m sure he would have wanted to prove himself
Which is very interesting because Snape could have asked the sorting hat to put him in Gryffindor with Lily because we now know that the sorting hat also takes into consideration how you feel about which house you want to go into so when the sorting hat was arguing with Harry Potter telling you he would be great and slitherin and eventually placed him in Gryffindor was because Harry chose to go with his friends over being a great wizard
Personally think Barty Crouch Jr should be in this list. Left Hogwarts with outstanding exam results, overcame the imperius curse his father placed on him, overpowered MAD EYE MOODY, and then single-handedly masterminded Harry winning the Tri-Wizard Tournament. He charmed the ACTUAL GOBLET OF FIRE, an ancient magical artefact never before corrupted, made polyjuice potion FOR MONTHS, all without DUMBLEDORE suspecting a thing.
Bellatrix vs molly was amazing . Before deathly Hallows molly was very simple kind hearted and worried mother for weasley's and harry but after deathly Hallows she was a strong witch
"Not a single witch or wizard that went bad wasn't in Slytherin" ...Well, wouldn't it have been believed at that time of that quote that Sirius betrayed the Potters and murdered wormtail? :P
@@isabellaincontrera9718 you’re right, of course. But my comment up above was intended to clear up a possible misconception about what Hagrid said, not to impose the statement as a broad fact. In fact, as we can see from your comment, hagrid was actually wrong.
Merlin is the most powerful wizard ever because he is the last dragon lord and was born being able to move things with his mind as a baby and is immortal waiting for Arthur to rise again that means he has spent over 1000 years leaning magic and is the one to unite the land of avilon with earth also as a young man he is said to have greater knowledge and power than dumbledoor
Question I noticed that on the movie deathly hallows part 1 on the Malfoy mansion Dobby disarms Narcisa and we are wondering If that makes Dobby the new owner of Narcisa’s wand or does it not work the same for a house elf
Firstly, house elves don’t own wands. Secondly, not all wands change loyalty after being disarmed. For example, in deathly hallows part 2, when olivander was analysing Belatrix’s and Malfoys wand he said that malfoys wand had changed loyalty but not Belatrix’s. This is sort of a theory but thought I’d say it
Important to note that during the duel between dumbledore and Voldemort dumbledore had control of the elder wand and voldemort still held his own against him. It wouldve been interesting to see them fight If dumbledore did not control the elder wand.
Definitely up there but most powerful? Nah. I'd say Tom Riddle & Dumbledore. Tom highly intelligent & sought knowledge of all magic & was able to pull it off. Even became immortal. All he had to do was win over the Elder Wand & it would have been a wrap. Unbeatable & unkillable.
🐍🖤Slytherin my favorite House. It groomed my favorite character Snape, has an intriguing and eventfull creation and history. The mystery, power and prestige of Slytherin is alluring to me as well as the good wizards who were in that house like Snape, Slughorn, & Merlin which I find precious and inspiring considering Slytherin's somewhat unfortunate and misconstrued reputation for breeding darkness. I'd aspire to be like Merlin if I was in Slytherin🖤🐍
Slytherin tolerated half-bloods in his house. The proof of that is that trere were half-blood students in the Slytherin house. Only the muggleborn aren't allowed to join to the Slytherin house.
I would put Salazar as #1 coz his legacy endured for more than a millennium and had the greatest impact among the founders. Thanks to Salazar Hogwarts was founded and generations of magical children had a safe place to hone their magic. 700 yrs later his direct descendant Isolt Sayre followed in his footsteps and was inspired to found Illvermony that provided a safe learning space for magical children in North America. Isolt remedied Salazar’s egregious pure blood legacy by admitting magical students from all backgrounds which established formidable wizard communities in North America. Isolt also buried Salazar’s wand in Illvermony grounds which grew into an indestructible snake wood tree with potent magical and medicinal properties. As for Voldermont he should be #3 after Merlin on the account of his power though destructive. Voldermont failed in adding any substantial legacy that would’ve benefited the wizard world for future generations to come and if anything he’s a cautionary tale of wasted potential and talent.
In my opinion, I feel that Horace Slughorn should have been in number 5. At Slughorn's peak (in his younger years) he would have beat Lestrange. His advanced knowledge of potions and the dark arts would really help. In a 1v1 duel between an old Slughorn and an old Lestrange, Slughorn would win
U should not forget that Snape’s at 4th place, and he did fly without aid, was a double agent for Dumbledore and Voldemort, made 4 spells while in school (one of them deadly), master in potions, DADA, occlumency, legilimency, and could perform the most difficult charm ever and that is the patronus charm while being a frickin death EATER!!!
@Muhammad Musa Haider We are merlin was the greatest wizard of all time then theres vodemort who was the greatest dark lord of all time we cant really decide between the 2
@Muhammad Musa Haider Salazar slytherin taught Merlin so everyone should know about the gap between their power yet still they say merlin is more powerful
You know I think it’d be great if there was a story for Merlin, I had no idea he even existed in the Harry Potter universe. I personally think grindalwald was the most powerful dark wizard and I want to see how power Merlin is(as a protagonist) that would be amazing
He must have used "Never have " as in he didn't want to seeks, there are 2 spectrums of magic. magic and Dark magic.. Even tho Voldie had seeked power from both the spectrum he wasnt stronger than dumbledore even tho dumbledore didn't seek dark magic... That says a lot..
" not a single witch or wizard who went bad wasn't in slytherin" Slughorn: What am I?! The floor?! (I know one person is gonna get confused by this so what I mean is that Slughorn was a good one and didn't feel fit to be in Slytherin.)
King Arthur is a fictional character. In the earliest version, he liberated Britain from the Romans. He later fought Vikings doing the dark ages. He Invaded France (and the Holy Roman Empire) doing the Angle French wars. He conquered Jerusalem doing the crusades. And once the crusades was over, he won a fictional Civil War against his former friend Sir Lancelot. King Arthur is like Batman, a character whom have been modernized and reimagined over and over again. You can't put a date on this stuff.
Merlin could been at Hogwarts in 990AD and as the powerfull wizard around King Arthur in 450AD, because Merlin was a Timelord. The 7th Doctor was Merlin.
Well he had a lot of help, and the fact that the elder wand too was against him.. That made it a lot easier.. In conclusion Voldie indirectly fought against the strongest wand as well as a 17 year old harry who was driven by pain, sadness (all the people who died) taught by very talented wizards (the order of the phoenix) . so it was obvious harry would win. He even had the plot armor.
Voldemort is actually more powerful than Grindelwald. It is written in the books that " Grindelwald was surpassed as the darkest wizard by Lord Voldemort who came after a century."
I feel like voldemort isn't all that powerful without the horcruxes compared to grindelwald, that's probably why he is more powerful because he is immortal.
@@s.a9764 Neither of them are immortal? Voldemort is just harder to kill, since his soul is split and only select things are able to destroy the pieces of his soul. Plus both Grindelwald and Voldemort died in the Deathly Hallows.
U are stupid. He said not a single witch or wizard made it bad in life after finishing in Slytherin. And by saying bad he meant every single of them was a skilled wizards/witches.
I honestly think that if Snape would have aspired to become a dark wizard without becoming a death eater, he would have been a lot more powerful than Voldemort. In my opinion, Snape deserved 2nd place.
@Malhar Bedarkar nope dude, even tho I like dumbledore, it is Merlin who is stronger than him... The power gap is very small... If dumbledore was to seek a path in Dark magic he could have been as strong or even stronger than Merlin at his peak. But he didn't he just stuck to Normal and advanced magic..... He never stepped into the void of dark magic... So thus Merlin is stronger
"One of the greatest" is different than "the greatest". Lord Voldemort is also one of the greatest wizards to have ever lived, and the whole magical world will listen about him for centuries.
Martín Pagani Although that MAY be true Merlin will literally always be remembered, for he is like god in the Wizarding world. If you read or watched Harry Potter people will say “ Merlins beard”, Or “Holy Merlin” and other things along that line Like how people say Jesus or Jesus Christ.
@@yorujonn4287 Yes, maybe he was more powerful, or maybe he was not as powerful as people think he was. Maybe he was not as much powerful as Lord Voldemort was.
Like this video! But it has been widely stated that merlin was the greatest and most powerful wizard of all time, therefore I believe he would take the #1 spot with Voldemort coming in below him, an argument could also be made for Voldemort coming in below Salazar Slytherin as well.
Me too.. the reason that wizard are afraid of Voldemort is because of his Quasi-Immortality his intelligence and him being merciless. While Snape is smart, he can outsmart everyone hell he even fool voldemort into thinking that he is in his side until he die and Snape Create some Spell he's a Genius.

Because you mention information regarding the 4 founders of Hogwarts and Merlin, and I have recommendations for some of your other videos (e.g. when a patronus charm goes bad, the creator of the dementors, the first horcrux, among other things). And I don't record any of this being mentioned in the books?
The fact that Snape was able to be a doble agent and trick Voldemort, even when he dies (He is not killed because he is a traitor of Voldemort, is killed because Voldemort wants the wand), makes Snape more powerful than Voldemort.

He should be number 2
Martín Pagani many people make fun of me for this. But i do believe he was atleast at voldemorts level of Raw power
From what we've seen in the series the only Wizards that would be a fair comparison to Snape would be Dumbledore and Voldemort
Freakin Scorpio Agree!!
Only reason Harry wasn’t in Slytherin is cause he simply asked not to be
The only reason he would be in slytherin ,is because he has a patt of voldemort in him
Royen Jordy I don’t really think so, before he gets sorted I’m pretty sure he didn’t really prioritize bravery (because of his upbringing there’s no way he was Gryffindor brave at the time of his sorting) however he had the potential to learn bravery in that house which is why he was even considered for Gryffindor in the first place.
It might be the only reason he was considered for Slytherin was due to the Voldemort's Horcrux.
merlin would be more powerful than voldemort as even dumbledore does not have his own honorary order
Ummm....
@09mrmarshall as i explained to mohini rai it was a joke

Merlim indeed was the most powerful wizard in history. Dumbledore himself couldn't hold him, (if they were alive at the same time, of course) but Merlim in fact was good and aged well in favor of the Muggles.

My grandma named her cat after merlin
It has always bothered me that Merlin was in Slytherin. It isn’t from hating on Slytherin but it is obvious that JK didn’t know Merlin’s back story. The fact is Merlin has literally none of Slytherin’s traits. I has aspects of every other house but Slytherin. Plus he was raised by his mother who was muggle. That would automatically rule out Slytherin. My guess based on his Values and traits that Merlin would be a Gryffindor. Although there is a strong argument for Hufflepuff. Also very likely he would have been centuries old when Hogwarts was founded.

Ooh that's a good one! Second this!
jack rogers That answer lacks imagination.
YASSSS PLEASE
jack rogers and that is why I would like a video made on the question I asked.

Mac Welch no difference, seeing as voldy treated some of his slytherin death eaters like dirt

If I wasn't a Ravenclaw I'd be a Slytherin, based on what the sorting hat has told me many times, and based on the house traits I value the most.

@@yorujonn4287 Yes, maybe he was more powerful, or maybe he was not as powerful as people think he was. Maybe he was like a legend, and the stories about him got bigger and bigger each time they were told. There are a lot of "maybes" because we dont have enough definitive information about him. Maybe he was not as much powerful as Lord Voldemort was.
Merlin is by far stronger than voldemort. just like dumbledore.
One of the greatest doesn't mean number one
Like this video! But it has been widely stated that merlin was the greatest and most powerful wizard of all time, therefore I believe he would take the #1 spot with Voldemort coming in below him, an argument could also be made for Voldemort coming in below Salazar Slytherin as well.
Would love to see a series with these guys.
merlin is dumbledore level he eats voldemort alive
You literally said that Merlin was the strongest wizard that ever lived is Voldemort an exeption
I know this sounds weird, but I think Snape is more powerful than Voldemort
Me too.. the reason that wizard are afraid of Voldemort is because of his Quasi-Immortality his intelligence and him being merciless. While Snape is smart, he can outsmart everyone hell he even fool voldemort into thinking that he is in his side until he die and Snape Create some Spell he's a Genius.
Where do you get your sources from? Because you mention information regarding the 4 founders of Hogwarts and Merlin, and I have recommendations for some of your other videos (e.g. when a patronus charm goes bad, the creator of the dementors, the first horcrux, among other things). And I don't record any of this being mentioned in the books?
Idea for a video. Oldest magical schools in order
Wormtail was in Gryffindor and went bad
As a slytherin, I approve
The fact that Snape was able to be a doble agent and trick Voldemort, even when he dies (He is not killed because he is a traitor of Voldemort, is killed because Voldemort wants the wand), makes Snape more powerful than Voldemort.
That just means Snape is very cunning, not more powerful
@@DamonPersona Snape is the boss at occlumency. Very powerful magic skill. Not just cunning.
Dumbledore: Merlin’s beard
Thor: Hey that’s my flarking thing! 😂
Moving objects can be Wandless Piertotum Locomotor according to Pottermore/ Wizarding World
Same goes for Harming enemies as Wandless Cruciatus curse and Talking to snakes as parseltongue and other animals in some form of complex Wandless Legillemency
