Our Metal Gods from Hamburg/Germany since 1984.....ALL Members over the Years together on one Stage....the Greatest Reunion ever ! ..... by the way,the WACKEN "Welcome Home" Live Version is even more EPIC!
I saw Helloween, Exodus and Anthrax at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake, Utah during the Head Bangers Ball tour of Keeper of the Seven Keys, Fabulous Disaster and State of Euphoria back in April, 1989!! I was 17 Teen years old!!
Not Two, there were three guitar players, and three vocalist (Kai Hansen is not only guitarrist, is also the first vocalist of Helloween). I had to say that I was there and It was really crazy!!! 2 or 3 generations of metal heads together, singing aaaaaall the songs as one. Epic!!!
Of course, Kai Hansen (first singer) at guitar, Michael Kiske (bald guy) as the second vocalist and Andi Deris as the third. And many many member of past & present = Halloween, most epic power band in the history. What more do you want?
I get the chills when I hear those two singers. Michael Kiske was always my favourite by hearing the two sing together is just perfect. It almost feels like listening to Iron Maiden guitar harmonies.
my absolute favorite band since I was 9 years old ... an unbelievable atmosphere, power, beauty and melody, the double bass drums shoot like a machine gun, more precisely than a Swiss watch ... a force and this magic that I felt ... and then the voice of Michael kiske ... from that day on I was a metalhead 🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼 addicted since 1987
And that's what you call throwing everything at it, including the kitchen sink - really looking forward to the new album featuring this full United line-up 🤘
My husband has lisen at them since he was 14 years old, and close to his 35 years birthday, I got tickets to se them. We lived in two different countries, and should have celebrate X- mas togever, I askt him come more early to see them. Over 3 hours they was playing.. My man is short, well..little bit taller then me.. then suddenly he said he could not see, then I saw it was free spot on one step up thing, people could see better. For 40 mins I stand behind him, supporting, so he dident fall, was more important that he saw the band then me.. Day after I was tired, legs and back hurt, but it was worth it, anything for those you love..❤
my brother and sister, you are the best, you make my night, from Barcelona, Spain, thanks, enyoing the song with you. I love how you react, Im with you 🎉
The Guitarist with the Pink Guitar is the original Singer, the Legendary Kai Hansen. The Bald Singer is the 2nd Singer and known as the voice of Heavy Metal Michael Kiske, the Singer with the long hair is their 3rd and actually singer Andi Deris who's been there since 1994. The only non OG's are are the drummer & New Guitarist Sascha who's been the since 2003. Michael Kiske & Kai Hansen returned back to this band. The only member not their from the original line-up is Drummer Uli Kurch who came down with an illness and can longer play drums. They are the greatest Heavy Metal/Power Metal band in the world.
Remember when I bought this album back in 1986 and when I saw the live for the first time in 1988, opening up for Iron Maiden, in Stockholm, Sweden. Insane performances from both bands!
One of the best Helloween songs ever! Michael Kiske (original singer..bald guy) is still unbelievable!!!! Marcus Grosskopf (Bass) has been one of my favorites since the '80's. Kai Hansen and Michael Weikath I believe are the two soloists from the original band.
Hell yeah guys Great to see someone finally doing the song it's my favorite song by them kicks ass it's on all my playlists Good job as usual keep it up and I love your maiden reactions🤘🤘
The first real "speed metal" band. (That's what we called it back then.) Michael Kiske, the bald singer, was 17 when he recorded this song. Obviously influenced by Geoff Tate of Queensryche.
Have you never heard Powermad? Especially their EP ...And the Madness Begins & album (1st LP) Absolute Power? They formed in 1984 but broke around 87...from Minneapolis, MN.
I always thought they sounded very similar, but always gave the edge to Geoff as being better overall in his prime. However, I think Kiske’s voice holds up much better today than Tate’s
Everyone recommending only songs from the 2nd and 3rd Helloween albums! Why this lack of love for Time of the Oath, Master of Rings and Better Than Raw?
I know man is sad, but the thing is because it was a very good time in early days. But yes there are a lot of good songs and very underrated in Andy´s era. I love this style too is darker and with different elements, maybe in the future the band play more of those songs live I hope!
Time of the oath and master of rings where my first 2 metal albums. I was blown away. And these 2 are still awesome. But imo Derris is very good, but Kiske is god.
@@Zino027 my first metal album was no world order by gamma ray, I actually found it because induction was sampled in a rap song I was listening to, then I got into Helloween as well and ever since then I have loved metal
Wow, amazing used to like Helloween years ago at same time as Maiden. Obviously more than one band's worth of musicians but great. And now I'm into Nightwish as I Iove great singers
Kai Hansen was the first singer of Hellowwen songs that he did i starlight and Murederer Kiske came to Helloween at age of 17 i guess he quit school....
Story goes that the gutarist with the leather pants and the psychedelic coiored flying v , needs to go to the backstage 1 hour before the show, only to get in his pants 🤣🤣
I think this is of 1986 or 1988 Keeper of the Seventh Keys . The Drummer definitely has 4 drums two of one dimension two smaller . Definitely not the same diameter ! This was the presenting song of the Group . The Band did this double milestone album named Keeper of the Seventh Keys and bytheway great guitar solo around 9'20" . We remember the Total shining White of the Drumset ! Pretty scenographic Drumset for real ! And One of the Guitarist is the Founder of Gamma Ray that you Travis and Jon reacted to...isn't it ? At one song for sure ! Cool roll around 7'50" . Micheal Kiske and Andi Deris vocalists are really collaborative ! Great Duo ! Pumping bass around 9'38" . The Double bass drum has a rythm that seems to me like a little flam , sorts of accents not straight velocity but anyway he does groovy things around the song with interesting breaks like around 11'40" . 11'59" It seems flams . Generally the angular position of Toms and Cymbals has a connection with the sound the the drum player wants . 13'53" Eyes of the Founder of Gamma Ray :-) 15'34" Higly listenable bass line 17'08" Genial background Travis ! Isn't it ?
Lots of drums and lots of Bass🤘🤘kinda of an Iron Maiden vocal sound, Dio.. I like it. The singer is very impressive. All of the guys sound great. Rock I.V. by X Japan, it's very different but has a lot of meaning.
great reaction, loved seeing the joy and admiration you guys had for them. Please please react to "Walls of Jericho" "Future world" "I want out" or "Dr Stein" or "The rise and the fall"... Sod it, do them all. and "The keeper of the seven keys part 2" is a must.
That can't be right, or is there a story about them writing this before the band even existed? I've never heard that. The original members where all roughly in their mid-twenties when this was released and Kiske was nineteen.
Remember... this song came out 1987!!
What a fucking masterpiece from the pioneers of Power Metal 🤘🤘

Great reaction. I love Helloween. They have so many great songs. I hope you react to more in the future.
In the beginning there was Dio/Rainbow. Then Iron Maiden. Then Helloween. Then everything since then has been some mad combination of the 3.
