- This is the official game animation for the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition game, REBUILT presented by Haas. The game was announced Saturday, January 10, 2026. For more information, visit www.firstinspi.... Special thanks to Kevin Thorp for creating this year’s animation.

only thing getting rebuilt are the robots which fell from the top rung
lol
I can't wait for it. Our arm fell hot off in 2019 and it was hilarious afterwards
@GreyLightning we also can’t wait, since last year our robot was practically held together by zip ties and janky code. This year we’ll totally be better
bonus points for it falling onto another robot
and 4414’s robot probably
Ladder climb looks fun. I can't wait to watch robots falling to their demise.
There goes half the team's budget
2022 all over again.
Hopefully I'm not jinxing my own team with this
It kinda reminds me of last year’s ftc game
😭
someone's gonna get bonked in the head by a fuel ball. we all know it
many
Good thing it’s foam then
@UndeepBeacon5346 It's super firm though
ruclips.net/video/OnE0j69_gYk/video.htmlsi=-f2hKyUgMT_GElFo ball hits Dean in this event
Have you seen the FTC game? There is a ref that stands right behind the goal, ive seen them get hit a lot
You can tell this year is definitely designed as gameplay over theme.
I’m a little sad about that, but I got the shooter game I wanted so I’m happy.
I think the alternating activation mechanics is just to prevent games ending after 30 seconds like last year
the tie in to the theme is rebuilding concepts from past games into one robot i guess, i thought that it would use pieces from previous games before kick off due to the symbols on this years logo but i was close enough
And I'm SO HAPPY it is I've been waiting for this
As it should be.
2023: sustainable energy = good :)
2024: music is a good way to express yourself :)
2025: research can help us save our coral reefs :)
2026: MANUFACTURE THOSE FOSSIL FUELSSSS!!!! YEAHHH!!!!!!
needless to say my fellow denizens of drive team will be dressing up as oil tycoons this year
actual fire cosplay
8873 bouta have a field day. I'm not on their team, but I know their theme.....
Who is going as Rockefeller? Time to get the local gas station sponsorship dollars cranked up.
First time I like the theme of first over MATE lol
Five hundred and four balls.
Field reset is gonna be a nightmare @_@ It's not as bad as Steamworks, THAT was absolute hell only made easier by genius improvisation at Week 0 and 1 events to make jigs and pushers to speed up the process. Hopefully we'll figure something similar this year but 24 to each loading station, and then 8 per alliance is gonna be interesting to figure out.
I feel bad for the people who have to reset the field
@Abunai_Gaming It's 8 balls a team not alliance
There's nothing stopping us from having 0 drivers and 3 human players as of right now (kickoff day)
I mean if your robot have a dementia...
The alliance shift is interesting.
Borrowed from Aim High in 2006.
0:56 what is that throw animation tho
he did not need to do allat
I know this is like 2020 talk, but all can think is “YEET” when he threw that.
Peak, that’s what it is
My team all laughed at how stupid it was
Premade discus throw animation
They should add points for getting enough distance or air when jumping off of the bump
Bonus for flipping
Or somehow jumping on the bar or balancing on the bar.
bonus for being too low and high centering on it
bonus for having a swerve drivetrain and having the tip of the bump scrape against the bottom of your bot due to how tall the wheels are
nah kinda odd of a rule and too hard to measure
I can't wait for a robot to fall from the top rung and shatter on impact
If 2020 and 2022 had a baby
No no no its 2017 shooting 2016 terrain and 2013 climb please lock in 1986
@m@midnightvr6538I see where you’re coming from it’s up to interpretation fr
@midnightvr6538will do
Criteria for each ranking point:
Energized: 100 points in fuel hub
Supercharged: 360 points in fuel hub
Traversal: 50 tower points
and the hub has to be activated right?
@ordinaryfellow123im sure we'll get a team update clarifying that, but as of now, the game manual just says you need to score in the hub for the ranking point. It also specifies that scoring while the hub is not active, it doesn't yield any points, which implies that scoring does not require the hub to be active, and thus, neither do the ranking point requirements
To be clear, those will be the criteria at Regional and District events. It will go up later in the season.
So much edit potential 😋
Man, it's a good one this year!!!
This season is gonna be fire! 🔥
for real!! 😂
Who are u
My thoughts while watching were:
- OMG BALLS? FUEL?
- Is that terrain game?
- Shooter!
- What the heck is this phase thing?
- ZERO points?
- Supercharging 2023 reference!
- I can't wait for a robot to fall on the other
This game feels like it was made specifically for what the fans wanted.
This was SICK!!! Good luck to you all
Looks like it will be an exciting game this year!
how is the theme even closely related to this
I know dude
I really have no idea. It's a cool game though. I'm excited to see how the season goes
it's harvesting the fossils to make fossil fuel 😭(i'm not even joking, that's what my team unanimously agrees it is)
rebuilding past FRC games is best I can figure.
Each aspect of the game pulls from elements from previous years as far back as 2015 (from what I've noticed so far), and "rebuilds" them into one cohesive game play
it’s giving the past 3 years of ftc
What if both team do the exact same amount of fuel in the auto, who gets the scoring goal activated?
According to the manual, it would be randomised by the FMS.
@BritishMetric144So basically a coin flip?
@The8BitNerd i guess
@The8BitNerd yea, but there's a data packet that FMS gives your driver station about which alliance will get the first shift in this case. pretty sick at the end of the day tbh
guys this is my first year in robotics im so excited
yayyyyy hope you have fun and do well this season :)
Lucky😢
@Tophattio ty!!!
This is a very interesting and different game style
bro wheres the archeology 😭😭😭
It's about remaking games from the past thats why its REBUILT
harvesting those fossils to make fossil fuels 😈😈😈 (i love how a lot of FIRST games are about environmental conservation and sustainability and then theres just this one)
@midnightvr6538But why is the game piece called “fuel?”
umm there's a ladder for when you need to climb out of the dig site. maybe the energy balls are mysterious ancient artifacts that the robots are definitely treating with an appropriate amount of respect. And it looks like drive team is required to wear funny hats, even more so than usual
Alright, this year’s gonna be a good one
What a crazy season!
Happy kickoff! :D
maybe it's rebuilt so dran kamen can rebuild his reputation after being in the files
That's insane, I just googled the picture
This game looks like a really fun one. Somebody with access to the rule book should tell me if it’s illegal to score from the neutral zone though. Cause if not, you know there’s going to be a bunch of powerhouse teams that go in there in auto and just shoot a stream of fuel over the backboard and into the hub
Crazy season
So excited!!!❤
This might sound crazy but I think this season has potential to be one of the greatest seasons in FRC History.
What makes this game a mix (I don’t know because I didn’t join till charged up and because I am autistic so I can’t figure it out) of rebound rumble, aerial assist, recycle, rush, stronghold, deep space, infinite recharge, rapid react, (this is where joined and I don’t know what makes it a mix) charged up, crescendo and reffscape?
This game is so amazing. I’m so excited
Looks like scoring a bunch of energy balls will be very important for ranking points!
Get ready for some fierce defense while your opponent's goal is inactive.
So super
Nothing but net, and high stakes but better
Baseball shooting machine the new strat
Yea
Yippee!
the animation is so yummy
I think that getting the first shift is going to be a disadvantage, especially if you have a good ground pickup. If you climb in auton to try for the ranking point, then fire off your preloaded energy in the transition shift, you can reload from the neutral zone while playing defense (reloading is a form of defense in this game) in the first shift. Then you can start your first shift ready to score, and hopefully get more cycles.
It’s also interesting how they designed a game where tank drive is more a competitive option because of how much defense will be involved.
“Oh no! Oh my god! Unbelievable! Ohhh we got balls flying everywhere! Ohh jeez louise what are we gonna gonna do here?”
This is 2017 all over again
The robots look smaller in the animation than usual no?
Gl all teams
so just like the ftc game? 😭
Im a member of 5150, this is gonna be fun.
mix of 2020 and 2013 (look at that years climb teams)
It’s FTC game with a lift….
Decode mixed with endgame from into the deep
@GGT-troopthis was my exact though lol, and I only do FTC
Good luck chat
prove me wrong: REBUILT is litterally DECODE and VEX V5 Pushback combined
Simple but complicated
It’s gonna have to be very optimized to get that 360 supercharged RP
Bobot
Get ready human players, time for baseball.
FTC ahh chute door
so true gng
I thought we were going to make 3 robots (I'm a rookie 😔😔).
WDYM THE ROBOTS ARE CLIMBING AGAIN🥹🥹🥹🥹
holy vex high stakes and push back (ladder and park zone)
So logically should optimize your robot to hold as many balls as possible and shoot them all during your period... and if you're able to shoot from the neutral zone I could see a funnel system to shoot up and over. And just continuously cycle for the whole time.
WHERES DOZER!!
Panthers are the best! They are going to win! 😀😀
Snowplow time
🥀
SHHOOTERRR GAMEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Honestly might be a viable strategy to just sit at the receptacle’s exit and catapult balls over the net. Hope at least someone does that
G408 - don’t catch fuel, a robot may not do either of the following with fuel released by the hub unless and until that fuel will contact anything else besides the robot or fuel controlled by the robot 💔
A-gain greater than momentary control of fuel or
B- push or redirect fuel in a desired location
pretty much fuels gotta touch the ground first
@Nah.Bruv.ok well they can still roll in. Doesn’t affect the mortaring
Robirt
Despite being repeatedly told by my team, and writing down that this was today, I have somehow managed to entirely forget this was happening today...
This does not bode well.
Living up to your username, ay?
This game looks PEAK
Love from NEW Apple Corps Team 93!
Bro leaked his location
what’s up gamers red thunder here
@shinyman250 I know where you live
Kinda 2020, except climbing & auto part.
Gives me 2004 vibes with the ball collecting and shooting and human throwing.
Aim High but better
Aim Higher
reminds me of steamworks
@AlumniKaiipeak🔥
Steamworks remastered
Can an inactive team block the trenches with their bot?
Can teams shoot from the neutral zone over the barrier?
Can bots climb on other bots to gain the 30 pts? Meaning that one bit climbs to 30 while the other two hang from it?
I like your questions
But just to help you out with a quick response:
1) I don't see any rules specifically against this one, and it could always happen by accident if a robot has connection or mechanical issues. But if this is clearly being done deliberately you more than likely would be penalized by a referee for something akin to unsportsmanlike conduct.
2) No, as per G407, no shooting unless you are at least partially in your Alliance Zone
3) Looks like this is a no. The robot extension rules prohibit both an extension greater than 12 inches, as well as a rule directly stating you can't support a teammate to climb. So sadly no repeat of the team climbs of 2018's Power Up
1 if you only have one bot doing it for team it legal
Rest is no
@A@Abunai_Gaminga robot may not launch a scoring element into their Hub unless their bumpers are partially or fully within their alliance zone
I think this means (at least according to this rule) you can shoot over the trenches and bumps as long as your not attempting to score in the Hub
@Abunai_Gaming Regarding question 1, game manual says you can only block one trench at a time. 8032 btw.
Someone is going to get domed in the head
Multiple someones. It will end up on FUN and we will all laugh.
It gonna be me (I'm on 2539)
This is literally the same as the past couple seasons jesuss
how does the outpost work? is there only a limited amount of balls for each one? how do they reload it.
It seems that a robot soley using that station to reload may run out of balls if the human player at that station cannot reload it.
Robots can shove balls to an opening at the bottom of the outpost and human players can reload it that way
AYYY IM SO EXCITED
I'll be honest, I'm a little disappointed in the reveal. With how much leading up was referencing previous years, I was hoping we would be reusing old game pieces like the totes or recycling bins from Recycle Rush or the fuel balls from Steamworks. Instead we have the worst scoring method from Steamworks and the most basic obstacles from Stronghold, with essentially a penalty for doing well in Autonomous by spending one of your two Alliance shifts collecting balls instead of scoring. The only thing I'm interested in seeing from this year is what happens in elimination when both teams tie because they had 2 autonomous climbs and no other points scored because neither wants the first shift?
human players are slowly getting a less and less important job :(
Its so peak 🙏🏻
Have the animators ever seen a robot in their entire existence 🥀
HYAAAAARRRRRR YEAAASSSSSSSS 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Trash game ngl
Go SuperNurds 💥
5735 control freaks coming for y’all
Tuff
its so peak

Get out child
POV: you’re on the HOT Team from Milford, Michigan.
please dont bring HOT into this
@DefinitelyAPerson32haha I'm norcal
Kids these days don’t know how good they have it. This looks way easier than when I was on my old team.
nah, the games have increased in complexity over time, even though new hardware makes some things easier, that just raises the skill ceiling so teams can perform at an overall better level, but the competition isnt any easier to succeed in, because everyone has the new hardware, and if anything there are more teams competing.
BACK IN MY DAY GRANDPA WE DIDNT HAVE ROBOTS WE HAD ELBOW GREASE😂
bros an unc
why can humans also earn points. thought this was robotics not basketball
This is obviously your first time in FRC. Last year we threw a ball into something called a barge. The year before that during end game we tossed notes (orange rings) on to what they called the stage.
