The country is not lacking in orators, or people who know how to say the right things. The challenge is for people to do the right thing and if they fail, to face the legal consequences. The trouble we have is that people do what they want regardless of morals or the law and they get away with it. All it takes is to belong to the ruling party. Can we just begin to walk the talk?

You have hit the nail on the head - IF NIGERIA PROSPERS, WE WILL ALL PROSPER. Most issues of concern to individuals and their families will be resolved if Nigeria prospers. If we live righteously (do the right thing ALWAYS), pray for Nigeria and her leaders, then many issues will be resolved. Presently there is so much wickedness towards one another and religious bodies give too much priority to personal issues like unemployment, prosperity, security, enemies etc. Of course they are important but we must not lose sight of the bigger picture. Let each of us keep our side of the table clean and sooner or later, the whole table will be clean. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Exactly! This discussion would not even need to happen if we had good leadership. The reason it is coming up is because of the fact that Nigerians are relocating in their droves out of the country because of the terrible issue of insecurity in Nigeria and nothing tangible or critical is being done about this. Yes people will always migrate even out of adventure! But this is now an international problem. To think that people who are even doing well professionally, business wise, etc have to quit their high paying jobs, close down their business, sell their properties etc just to end up as care givers and do menial jobs abroad is simply heartbreaking.

We need leaders that could help the masses out this mess we found ourselves.
Is she benefiting from leadership gap failure?
Once you belong to the “goodies” of commonwealth of this country you don’t need to “Japa” the abundance of distribution only for few among the elites in power.
There are better opportunities here in Nigeria , but 97% that belongs to us (as commonwealth) are with few hands.

If you have the means to japa, please do, have but do it legally and be involved in the whole process, don’t leave it for agents and go to sleep. Go to the countries website and do your research, get as much information about the process. Nigeria is a country that is very rich & prosperous, our colonial masters saw this hence they came to divide & conquer but the Nigeria as we know it today is heading for the rocks. The greatest asset for any country, institution is human resource. Our leaders are oblivious to this or else they can use Japa to Nigeria’s advantage like Singapore did. Many Nigerians will like to come back after “ japaing” but what country are they coming back to? A country where insecurity, lack of quality equipments in our hospitals and the list goes on!

it is important you make good plans before leaving Nigeria, so that your journey and settling down abroad would be easy. But I would not advise anyone to stay in a country where no one cares about its citizen, what about the people that are kidnapped on a daily basis, how is it better than the other side you are talking about. Sorry to rain on the parade but for you to merely gloss over the asuu strike is rather insensitive- the failure of the government has narrowed the already slim options to stidents/youth. When you say 'do it the proper way ' - how many people have the means to do so? Funded Bank accounts, ielts fees, scholarship offers or even internet data to complete a typical uk or US grad school application? You fail to capture the pulse of the struggling Nigerians that send their kids 'abroad' for greener pastures. Imagine a representative of government that can't provide the basic functions of providing security, education and health care telling the victims of its ineptitude to wallow in the mess- while their kids story in UK, USA and enjoy what those governments have labored to provide! So buhari sent you to rescue citizens in Libya abi? What about those in Southern Kaduna? Or the Abuja train victims? It's all for the clout abi bee ko?
