The electrical pneumatic valve and pipes are fitted as stock as the normal exhaust has valves on it, but you can't open/close them manually, they are controlled by the ECU automatically, based on the revs, throttle, load and sport mode. From what the Porsche dealer told me you can fit the switch, activate it through the ECU and control it manually. The difference with the valve open and close on the normal exhaust is not much, but you can replace the exhaust with ours and you're good...
The OEM Porsche kit including the valve button on the dash, pnaumatic valve, pipes and install/activation in a Porsche dealer cost around € 450+VAT. This may vary depending on where you live.
Thanks you a lot for the review and the comparison with the other system! We're working to have the production-spec item ready. Did you know that the stock 991 system already has valves? The pneumatic line is there, but the opening is controlled only by the "mode", sport etc. When you ask for the sport exhaust they fit the switch in the dash and fit a different exhaust system. So if you want ours and have the standard exhaust you just need to fit and enable the switch and the valves will work.
Thank you for your answer. I have made several mods concerning the air induction (inlet) and the exhaust. I have placed 63.5 mm steel 304 highly polished tubes instead of the 55 mm from factory and Hjs 100 cell cats. I have replaced the factory headers with the 45 mm Cargraphic ones and the mufflers with custom made 304 fully perforated at the inside area and super free mufflers. The tips have been designed at laser cad cam machine from me and have been painted black by ceramic coating.
Please post the part numbers of used on the 991 in this video. Supersprint catback system: Rear x-pipe with Pierburg bypass valves connected to the OEM control system. Side mufflers. 4x90mm chrome tailpipes, slash cut, lipped.
Ask your dealer if he can fit just the button on the dash and probably activate it in the ECU. This way you'll be able to control the valves in the stock exhaust manually. Maybe don't tell him you want to replace the exhaust with an aftermarket one... As a spare part it exists, and the installation process is the same as installing the PSE (without the exhaust, obviously). It's up to the dealer if he wants to do it or not.
Thank you very much for your answer and info. All the tubes are 63.5 mm and the internal ones, inside the mufflers are fully perforated all the way.I do not know how the filling material is called but if you give me an email I can send you photos from the manufacturing of the mufflers, where you can see all the internal components and their size. In this way you might be able to tell me if the Race Supersprint mufflers will be louder than mine. Thank you, Boxserpent (Nico Mallios).
The OEM exhaust must comply with sound regulations and has budget costrains. The Supersprint exhaust is louder with the valve open that even the Porsche Sport Exhaust, is handcrafter to the highest quality instead of being massproduced. By the way, the Porsche is not a V6, is a boxer 6.
Replaced the factory air box with a massive Gruppe M carbon one. Also replaced the factory "T" plenum with an 82 mm plenum from IPD. I have replaced the throttle body from the GT3 model. (82 mm instead of factory 74). I was wondering if your 243454 and 243474 racing mufflers would be more free and more loud than mine. In fact I have already ordered them at the local representative here in Athens, Greece. You can see and hear my car at the videos of my channel. (Boxserpent 997 carrera s)
Sadly no video available for that car. What ind of modification did you make to the car? The Race mufflers are very loud, with an extremely deep grown at low rpm and a wild scream ad high rpm.
Range as in pitch of sound. It sounds monstrous at idle and low revs, but the sound doesn't evolve in higher revs. 911s have quite a high pitch when reved high, and that's what they should sound like.
It's hard to tell, maybe if you give me the specific of your custom built mufflers (box size, interna pipe diameter, soundproofing material etc) I could guess if our race ones are louder or not. My first impression on your videos is that our race ones will be louder, but videos can be deceiving.
I don't think the electrical system, which controls the valves via the ECU, comes standard with the non PSE 991. I think you or Porsche would have to retro fit a system to control the valves with a non PSE 991. Did yours already have a PSE system? Also, I'm not sure Porsche will supply the exhaust button without a PSE.
All the cars do that, the engine move around when you rev it. That is unless the car has "fake" tailpipes, fixed on the bumper, like for example the Audi RS5, the Ferrari California etc...
Check out the other video in full acceleration...it does get higher in pitch. It's no GT3 obviously...but if you want it loud you haven't got much choice. We'll see with the headers and sport cats that are in development.
Awesome work and sound. Congrats. I own a 997 generation I Carrera s (355 hp) with modified exhaust. I am interested at your "race" mufflers, (art. 243474 & 243454). Do you have a video with the sound of these mufflers ? Thanks.
Process of purchasing a 2013 Porsche C4S in Canada. Will I need to purchase the sports exhaust(3k+) to get the button in the car knowing it will be replaced with supersprint or can I opt out and there is another way to do it?
SOLD! Perfect sound. IPE exhaust sounds too Ferrari, Fabspeed has no valve control and Tubi is too much like the PSE. This exhaust or the Akrapovic but I'll think I'd take this one. Awesome job guys.
Parts added in the description: 247413 - Rear x-pipe with bypass valves connected to the OEM control system. 247304 - 247334 - "Road" side mufflers. 247426 + 247446 - 4x90mm chrome tailpipes, slash cut, lipped.
I am currently searching for longer headers than the ones you have at your site and the ones I have (Cargraphic). Can you produce (custom built) long neck headers to combine them with your racing mufflers ? Can you please check out the sound of my car at my channel and inform me of the changes of sound with your mufflers instead of mine ? Thank you very much.
I have the PSE on my 991S which I LOVE, this sounds even better again! Would like to hear what it sounds like IN the car though as thats where we the driver will hear? I think the PSE sounds great though, what would be much better is this Exhaust on the New 991 TURBO, (it needs it) I was going to buy one until I drove one & the sound was a big let down. Yes the TURBO is mind blowing fast however its not all about speed, the NOISE is VERY IMPORTANT too. The TURBO S sound was not in the same league as my 991 S (PSE fitted) Now if the new 991 TURBO S sounded like my car then I would probably buy one.
This 991 was originally fitted with the PSE so the exhaust was specifically designed to improve upon that...you can see the video onboard, just look for Supersprint 991 onboard. I'll just add the link in the description. We plan to make an exhaust for the new turbo as soon as possible.
The V6 Whine and screach at high revs is awesome (Porshe spend millions of €'s on development) so why mess with perfection? In my humble opinion this sounds awful. SACRILEGE!!!! SACRILEGE!!!!!! SACRILEGE!!!!!

The "exhaust button" can be purchased stand alone, it's around € 200 included fitting at a Porsche dealer. It's included in the PSE.

Never seen a porshe shoot out flames before

Startup sound phenomenal!

What a sound well done supersprint I think that the best 911 carerra S I've heard

i like how you can open and close the valves

Send us an email we'll reply with prices and availability. As for the install, it's not hard, any good workshop can do it.
Hi, any video of a 718 its Exhaust?? Thanks
Again, check out videos of old 911 race car, especially the RSRs.
Awesome work and sound. Congrats.

I have the PSE and love it, this is a nice step up. What's the cost and who can do the install?

Never heard “sounds too Ferrari” as a bad thing before 😅
Good idle sound, but not enough range on the high end.

What do you mean by range?
I like it,Can you send me info about how much total with shipping?I am in Canada BC and i had porsche sport exhaust in my car now.
can I use this exhaust on 991.1 GTS?
Pierburg bypass? What exactly is this?
sounds like the old school 911's very nice!
Wish i had a switch like that for my Cobra.
mate I'm interested in buying a porsche carrera with this exhaust modification...how much it will totally worth in dollars?
why do the tail pipes move when revved? please reply im new thx
I don't think so...after all cars like the Aventador or the Koenigsegg emit flames as stock!

I want to hear that! Also I want to hear that TURBO 991S SuperSprint
Old school Porsche sound.
Lol I would love just sitting in the car turning on and turning off the exhaust button
How is there a bypass valve on this? It doesn't have a turbo
+SupitsOli bypass valves are welded on the x-pipe (item n. 247413)
Are you sure you know a Porsche should sound? Check out these classics RSR yJdRczyzMdM 3.0 SC Gr.4 NE06YReeai0
Is this legal in Germany?
FANTASTICO!!!!
Will installing this ruin the warranty ?
It depends on the dealer.
Send a personal message. I have all the info ready to reply.
Amazing

Geile Scheiße :)
The V6 Whine and screach at high revs is awesome (Porshe spend millions of €'s on development) so why mess with perfection?

Just not a Porsche sound - sorry .. seems totally wrong
