Walked into a small store for some beer and it was sitting on the counter. Guy put it on hold the day before and never showed up. 75 dollars later and it’s the pride of my bourbon shelf.
I just left a mom and pop store that had the EHT Rye for $299 and this for $199. Not sure if they made a mistake or something, but I definitely walked out with it 😂
Friday I told my wife to pick me up for lunch (9:45AM) and let’s go to a store that has Friday deliveries. Long story short, EHT Barrel Proof for $100 and best lunch break ever!
I just got one of these as a gift for my birthday from my friends. I looked it up and based on the proof number it seems like that's the only way to know which patch you have. Thankfully I got batch 12!
My pleasure guys glad this batch redeemed itself! btw the assistants was mutual and very much appreciated I cracked the M10 last week and it was phenomenal thank you Zack🤙🏾
I snagged one for 70 before Uncle Sam, two weeks ago in northern Illinois. I barter my trade labor for first crack at these bottles when they pop up. I’m opening mine tomorrow and sending a few samples out to friends abroad. Really looking forward to trying it myself. Thanks for the solid content guys, keep it up.
I found my very first one in the wild a month or so ago and instantly snagged it. The store in the middle of no where said they only had 2 bottles show up. I really need to open it soon
Nice review. I found this batch 12 about 2 weeks ago for $79.99. First time I have seen it at a store at MSRP. It is so good. I have already given some samples away. 🥃
I searched my local market for 4 years and finally got the EH Taylor 131.1 proof for $80. Obviously I was excited but I had to choose between Weller full proof, Weller 12 year, and the EH Taylor barrel proof. Now I have to keep searching for Weller lol!
Got lucky at a charity auction and got a bottle of barrel proof, a bottle of single barrel and a bottle of small batch in a "bourbon basket.." Trying to decide which bottle to open first....
I've bought 4 in WA since late August ranging from $76-$120 (pre our insane liquor tax). Distribution is so weird with the BT products. Takes us forever to get anything from the other big distilleries.
I would love to know the difference between EHTBP and Stagg. Both mash bill 1 and around 8 years. Guessing EHTBP is supposed to be a more refined flavor profile??
I managed to hang onto one batch 3 from 2014 when they were not as hard to get. Never saw another one. Funny it was 129 proof like batch 11 but I remember it being better than what you described for 11.
They could triple that price, and they should! Who cares if btac is 100 a bottle if no one can get there hands on it make it 500 a bottle and the people who really enjoy it will buy it at half of what secondary would be and I can stop hearing well it’s worth it but only for msrp, msrp on heavily allocated whiskey is a joke to 99% of people who drink bourbon and the other 1% spends a ridiculous amount of money to get a manager to let them buy these bottles at retail and pretend like it’s because there good people person
You are correct I don't even go after these bottles anymore if I stumble across it for a good price I'm down but I'm all about getting store picks now there's just too much good selection out there to drop the money that is being demanded for this stuff it's a short-term gain for the business owners the distilleries will put a stop to this pretty quickly
If you are an amazing people person / can make relationships that will absolutely help you get bottles like this. I go to liquor stores and stop by every week. I talk to the employees. Make friendships and thus get hookups. It isn’t by accident. Out in the work and it makes a difference. That is a fact of life.
@@beginningbourbon7385 you said it perfectly your in there every week and your more than likely spending a fair amount on store picks or non allocated bourbon to make that connection, you can get lucky in smaller towns and more rural areas where there isn’t as much knowledge on the liquor store owners part to the secondary market but for any major city or metropolitan area your not getting rare bottles because you have a good personality there are 100 more like you who come in every day and you can’t all get the weller and stagg and old fitz so money and personality is needed

That's correct, you just look up the proof. Congrats!
Living in Ohio I had to put out my lawn chair at 3:30am, but at 9am I got the last bottle out of 5 for 83.06
I picked one up this week in a small town in Oregon ($75).Can’t wait to get into it!!
My pleasure guys glad this batch redeemed itself! btw the assistants was mutual and very much appreciated I cracked the M10 last week and it was phenomenal thank you Zack🤙🏾
Curious, how do you tell the batch number?
The pleasure is all ours my friend!
By the proof.
@@bourbonkingdom Alright thanks so the 131.1 proof is batch 12 (2023 release)
This is the first EHT BP I've found, I really like it. Cheers....
Glad you enjoy it!
I just got one for $85 at specs down in Texas. Sure was lucky

I went to a bourbon event a couple weeks ago and they had two but they went first so I was not able to get one but they were here in indiana

They dropped in north Texas Specs last week. Killer bottle.
I had a shot of the normal, eh taylor, and was surprised that I didn't really like it. If I see one, I'll get it for a trade.
so stoked to hear won my first VA lottery and picked up for 71.99! hands down my unicorn behind KOK and OFBB.
That is awesome!
Just grabbed one today from my local ABC for $89 after tax
Thanks for the videos! Just picked up a bottle of barrel proof and was wondering how to tell which batch number it is? thanks

Right place right time… small mom and pop had one sitting on the counter for srp. Absolutely love it!! Buffalo trace at its best.
That is awesome!
I’ve had it for about a month and went back to it yesterday and it really opened up.
Great review. Just traded for one a cpl months ago. Looking forward to opening it.
Can i ask what you traded?
@@Rufflezhaveridge EHT SiB and a Blantons
I picked one up last week, it's very good!
They dropped in Indiana about a month ago
Just picked this one up for 77.95. Little pricey. But worth it…..
This or the new four roses LE?
Just checking but is the BATCH number on the bottom etched in the glass? Or how do you tell the batch on EH Taylor’s or Barrel proof
I always just look it up by the proof.
Thank you! The one I have is 131.1 proof which I believe is the Batch 12 that they are reviewing in this video. Would that be correct?
The problem I have with EHT BP is Stagg (Jr) regularly beats it for me and it's cheaper\eaiser to "find" 😂
So I have 3 batches, 129, 129.3 and this one 131.1… what are the other 2 batches?
One day hopefully I can find a bottle for a price I feel comfortable paying because MRP on most BT products are a joke.
Black glass not good. Cheers...
Great vid
Just snagged one.

This is my unicorn bottle that I would love to find. But not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for it!!!
Just picked this up for $99!!
Nice win brother!
@@bourbonkingdom Dave I sent you an email
I agree. BTAC should be $500. EHTBP and BSFTB could be $200-$250
You two must practically live at the distilleries.
That's pretty much a confirmation

Are you saying stay away from batch 11?
Both Dave and I were not big fans to be honest
I thought last years ehtbp was great. Very fruity. I didn’t get the things you all tasted at all but everyone has a different palate.
