    WOW ❤️ I'm currently obsessed with the idea of doing resin projects on small and large scales (jewelry to tables) after wanting to try it for 20 years. I love this idea of stained wood and this is the best geode tutorial I've seen so far.

    I am lost for words, that geode is so Gorgeous!!! Just Amazing. Your about the best on you tube..
    May I ask, which gold did u use??
    It really shines bright.
    Also the stones u used.
    I ordered some brown stones, and they were so exspensive?? The amount they send me was so small. Where do u get your??
    Are they also pricey?

    • @MoonkusserArt
      @MoonkusserArt  3 года назад +1

      Thanks 😁. I used 2 golds for this piece,
      PearlEx- Pure Gold
      Mehron- Gold (this is amazing in resin) goto.walmart.com/c/2553652/568823/9383?veh=aff&sourceid=imp_000011112222333344&prodsku=150676387&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.walmart.com%2Fip%2F3-Pack-mehron-Metallic-Powder-Gold%2F150676387&intsrc=PUI2_4275
      The crystals (Brazilian Honey Calcite) were bought at a specialty shop in my area. I was like a kid in a candy store because they were having a end of year sale when I was there. Bought quite a few different ones that day.

    hi! love your work. After you put the crayon do you make a clear cote of resin? Thank you Louise

    • @MoonkusserArt
      @MoonkusserArt  5 лет назад

      I did not do a flood coat on this piece after markers were added. I used artist grade which are stable and won't come off if touched or wiped in cleaning. That said, I other works such as Crystal Wave - ruclips.net/video/18zLiomDjOo/видео.html I did finish with a flood coat. Your artistic choice! How come you sanded it after the polyurethane and not before? Sorry this is all new to me.

    • @MoonkusserArt
      @MoonkusserArt  3 года назад

      The moisture from putting the coat of polyurethane on makes the wood fibers swell as the wood absorbs it. When the first coat dries it is slightly rough. Sanding, cleaning, and applying another coat leaves a smooth and shiny finish.
      No need to apologize, I am always happy to answer questions. 😁

      No. It is painters tape. It pulls off painted surfaces without leaving marks.

    What's the reason you decided on the board vs a canvas?

    • @MoonkusserArt
      @MoonkusserArt  4 года назад +1

      Could only do wood stained sides with a wooden artist panel. Geode resin artwork can end up being heavy from all the product and cause sag on a canvas.
