#PowerColor #RX7900XTX #SpectralWhite Наука
Ended up going with the Spectral White 7900XTX over the 4080. The way I see it, 24GB, $300 cheaper, and all white to match my build.
How does it perform? Any coilwhine?
whats your temps?
how is the gaming bro? let us know please
After being with Nvidia since the 470 and needing to replace the 3070 TI I also went with the power color 7900 XTX for 999 back in February I got the black one with the purple color. It is so good I love it
No coil whine. I have 1200 W thermal take power supply
The best GPU reviews on RUclips! I realy wish you would do more 😊. While others focus more on benchmarks you also cover the actual card in proper detail. Thank you!
I agree. They are very good all round reviews. ❤
Wow truly in detail review. liked it 👍
beautiful looking card, loved the silly intro dominc!
wanna start out by saying THANK YOU for actually talking about coilwhine noise! NO ONE talks about this, almost as if reviewers are paid to keep quiet!
i recently build a ryzen 7 7800X3D & Sapphire RX 7900 XTX nitro+ with their vapor chamber cooler, but quickly got really dissapointed and thought i had gotten a bad/faulty GPU because of the coilwhine noise levels.
i did a RMA on the GPU, send it back and got the message back that "it's within the allowed noise levels" which just blew my mind... luckily i was offered a refund anyway, but this is still INSANE that this amount of coilwhine is accepted and shipped out, i dont use headphones so i could hear it all the time even when playing music through my speakers.
when i saw this card i was hoping my coilwhine issues was because of the sapphire card running 3 8-pins for power, but unfortunately no... this card is the exact same issue, so apparently it is just the RX 7000 cards that are bad in generel with this.
i wish more reviewers would talk about this since i find it a serious issue that these levels of noise is allowed, there is no point for them to make these cards with "silent fan mode" because of the coilwhine.
I was going to get the Sapphire 7900XT. Is the noise really bad? Might have to rethink my choices.
@@garethg8226 the exact same like in this video.
I bought a lian-li o11 case, which isn't necessarily the most closed/soundproof case and when the GPU would go past 50-60% load i could hear it all the time even while listening to music.
It seems like it is a very common issue with the newer cards both AMD and Nvidia, some say it might go away after a while running on higher load.
Another good review Dominic. Nice gpu.
That PCB is a work of art love it.
Love the white backplane would look really good in an all white case.
Bought this for my fiancée as an engagement/valentines day gift ❤.
Very typical of a powercolor card. 13% bonus performance is exactly what I got on my Red Devil Powercolor 6900xt along with better themerals. Back in the day never would have thought Powercolor was going to be on my list of cards I would want to buy.
Good overall results.
Oh! Blue! That's exactly what I wanted! This card is on my new PC build decision list so this has just sealed the deal. ✅ GPU selected.
Kitguru rocks! I do enjoy when mr.Dominic reads the script, his English is so perfect for my Ears. 👍
7:04 hey, i do use the same gpu supporter...thing!! its slim small and very minimalistic. It was like 7-8$, one of the best things i have ever got for a pc.
Well worth buying at that price
Just ordered the 7800 version of this couldn't quite afford the 7900 but still looking forward to trying amd again
awesome review and good performance also. Just think it might be a bit on the expensive side tbh
guarding the GAMING UNDERWORLD! brilliant
It’s pure cheese 😂
😂😂😂😂
I think these XTXes will compete for many many years to come
Well i think the lighting solution here is a plus. I don't really care for RGB, the only light I would have would just be white and the blue is a nice touch. The physical switch with zero software is very, very nice.
The only reviewer who calls out coil whine which AIBs think is acceptable. I have been through 3 ASUS 7900XTX TUF OC and Sapphire Nitro+ XTX they all have coil whine.
Bah, stop coil whining.
hi there! will a reference waterblock fit on that hellhound? pcb only has 3 minor chips different from the reference.
Looks like the best 7900 XTX so far.
Well the nitro+ and also the sapphire devil are really good cards
@Justmakesomenoiz the nitro is the best the red devil had 100c hotspots
I have the MSI Gaming Trio Classic 7900xtx, haven't seen any reviews on that card at all but it performs well. In gaming bios mode I've seen go up as much as 2665mhz at stock settings and runs quiet even though it does run a bit hotter than the Hellhound. No noticeable coil whine. I do like the White version of the Hellhound which would have matched my case but it's a bit wider than the MSI and I was worried about it fitting in there. Cheers for the video.
What case do you have ?
MSI Gaming Trio considered kinda premium.. sure they don't perform like Saphire Nitro+, but they are already very good
The reason U couldn't find any reviews is mostly because MSI treats AMD cards as 3rd class citizen
MSI prefers Nvidia & they release AMD cards later compared to other brands (they already late by like 4 months Lol)
I would say your MSI Trio can nearly match XFX Merc 10.. which is considered a very good card (but it's super huge)
When i look up product reviews for this card at different retailers from consumers that bought this it is really bad with lotsa game crashes and even coilwhine. Very unstable stock clocks. What is going on?
I want to add pads on my Hellhound XTX's backplate. Wish you'd shown how to remove it..
How does the feeder affect coil wine?
Any news on the price drop? Waiting to pull the trigger.
glad powercolor did not go for boring rgb settings as EVERYONE else does
Good attention to detail. A truly white GPU. Despite my dislike for rainbow RGB, the lack of it is quite disappointing, as some would simply set a specific colour and let it alone. Also they could’ve used some thermalpad on the back of the GPU and actually make use of the backplate. As it is, it works as a barrier trapping the heat in. 9/10.
PIcked this up for 850 new yesterday, first time going team red and looking forward to it. Less than half the cost of a 4090 and like 90% of the performance.
Where at for 850. I don't see it for that on any trustable source.
@@mattg2596 ebuyer has just sold them for £799
Thank you for actually acknowledging and recording coil whine
It’s important. I admit I never hear it on any cards I’ve bought but I aim for max quality at 4k so fps is never that high.
Yea I bought this exact card and it does indeed whine
ive got a 7900xtx myself and i found the coilwhine to be ok if you keep the fps under around 5000. radeon chill in the adrenaline software being my otion of choice. some games do seem to start up before teh software and still get some whine for a second on the first start screen.
Keep the frame rate under 5000 ???!
I think he means 500 not 5000
@@justindavis7600You know, it's a powerfull card...
Bu kartın uzunluğu kaç cm bilginiz var mı
I was going to buy a 7900XTX Hellhound but changed my mind after reading that it had coil whine. Is any brand or card of free of coil whine?
no card is free of coil whine :)
The nitro + is only 30$ more.. how much faster is it to this card? I do have a white build so this card does match but the rgb strip on the nitro is super aesthetic as well.
For me nitro + is 240 more, i would get the nitro in ur case
is the black hellhound version exactly the same as this card ?
Thats what i would like to know as well
Rainbow Six Siege does not agree at all with VRAM OC, I've tried 2750MHz with all voltages from 1060mV all the way up to stock 1150mV and I get a driver timeout every time. Anyone else have this issue?
Been a while since ive owned a powercolor GPU, good brand however, really rate them
I have a power color red devil rx 580 new in the box on the shelf.
Why did you never use it ?
hermosa tarjeta grafica
Nice looking card but they could have used a metal shroud but they could have powder coat painted it with a brighter white instead of the flat white they did paint it with.
Would that stop you buying it ? Just curious.
@@powermaster5004 No.
Thats a very cool card, very pretty naked too, if I say so myself.
Powercolor has Nader another beautiful looking GPU and the fact they went with a full white pcb ads to it charm (many manufacturers tend to go black pcb + white GPU shroud). I feel for AMD to really compete …. They need this GPU to drop to $799USD that way buyers will choose either raw performance or pay extra for no additional performance and added software features (DLSS 3).
Excellent bank holiday content 😂 what more can you say
that b roll wants to make me buy it. very expensive card in retail i see. good brand however.
The coil whine is insane and the card runs at 101c hotspot, can feel the heat from outside the case!
This card boils like hell.
Great performing and looking card, shame about the coil whine, coil whine quite Widley reported with this card and other 7900xtxs.
None with the few I’ve heard. Seems to be a 500 fps + issue
@@gogopowerrangers6596 can't really say it's a "certain FPS and above" issue... i had a sapphire 7900 xtx nitro+ i RMA because of coilwhine, i experienced it whenever the card was at 50-60%+ load
Which of the 7900s don't have coile whine that you're aware of?
the coilwhine eventually went away i think unless i guess i just keep it at a low enough rpm to not have it put so much current and amperage into the card
Wonder if that white paint will slowly turn brown as it’s cooked from that insane heat generation.
without the god damn 12VHPWR is big win
Yep 👍🏻
Doing a white config is basically +20% expensive. Looks bonkers but.........
Everyone complaining about the coil whine on reddit.. ill have to go with another card sadly
That power draw is not bad given the spec and performance.
Yup it uses more power than the 4080 because of the bigger (worse) die node but it also performs a bit better so it's not that bad.
the bad power draw on these cards is not the one while gaming, but when IDLE sitting on the Desktop.
high resolution, high refresh rate, multiple monitors, power draw goes up to like 70+ watts, when Nvidia at the same time does like 10
there was a PC Games Hardware video recently retesting idle power draws and after all this time it is still not fixed, it is mentioned as known problem in the latest driver patchnotes but that is it... still struggling to make a decision what GPU to go for myself. Hellhound is pretty high on my list simply because of price, 2 PCIe power and not being such a crazy giant card.
...but no RGB, coin flip for coil whine and high idle power draw. Yeah that screams 1000€ GPU at you, doesn't it?
@@ZeroB4NG 10 watts for Nvidia? lol it has the same high idle power issue with multiple high refresh rate monitors just not that bad, also 40 series is plagued by coil whine all across the board so good luck :D
After testing 5 different 4090s the only one without coil whine was the Zotac Trinity, even the mighty expensive Msi Suprim and Rog Strix had godawful coil whine.
lol these temps on day 1 will always be good, try using these cards or any 7900 XTX for like 2 months and then compare temps from day 1 under similar ambient conditions you gonna lose your mind.
I take a RED one pls.And mention the
C Latency rating of the memory like EVERY other reviewer. but i take its c36
Ohhh saucy.
C36 lol who cares.
@@canarychrome7012 woo useful good to see your intelligent enough to use a keyboard :P
What the hound were they thinking with that name,
That intense coil whine is a no go.....
Price (currently only one shop) 1.457,41 euros. 🤑
Bro this is a powercolor review with a powercolor sponsorship
Great review of what looks a great card. (I'm never going to get used to "a nother" as opposed to "an other". Must be the result of a nother web spawned brain contagion, lol)
The new Powerblue / Powerwhite RX 7900 XTX Hellhound ...
Can't really call it Powercolor with hardly any "color" 😜
I only went for this GPU because of the white colour to match my setup.
How is it so far ??
@@Exteliongamer noisy loud coil whine avoid I will wait for something better comes along in near future.
@@jaycc2704it comes down to gpu, mine has barely at all
literally, same... hahaha. Would hhave grabbed the XFX 310 model if it weren't for me INSISTING that a GPU that is already ridiculously expensive, get just a little bit more expensive just cause it was white, and seemingly the only white 7900xtx at the moment. I guess I got lucky though, cause no coil whine, and runs damn well. Worth the entire $1,127 or right around there that it came out to after tax lmfao. I do love it though, no doubt. Actually cost me about another $125 than that though, as I had to upgrade my 750W PSU that was previously powering my RX 6700 XT, and pick up a 1000W PSU as Im also running a Ryzen 9 7900x. The LED's are gorgeous though IMO, the blue especially. And it strangely goes with like, any color scheme despite being blue.
i love this card but its to expensive at the moment
how much?
If it wasn't for PowerColor's warranty, their products would be winners, the warranty is only 2 years on their GPU cards. No thanks I'll go with a company that has a better warranty.
Silent mode it is
Seriously who has that much money to drop of a graphics card at the moment.
People with well paid job(s), perhaps
people that haven't bought a GPU in 6 years because everything was too expensive and saved up money instead... *raises arm*
doesn't mean i WANT to pay those prices, but i just jumped on a 7800X3D, the first Domino has been knocked over... my old GTX 1080 seems a bit under spec now, and when i get a decent GPU the 1080p screen is gonna have to go too.
In the next 3 months i'd like to be done with the upgrades and stop looking at prices like i was gambling on the stock market.
hi grate video. I have dean trying to get a Powercolor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil but no one can give me a UK release date powercolor has yet to anser my email.
Did you try Ocuk ?
@@canarychrome7012 out of stock for a long time CCL and scan have taken it down from there sites

Appreciate the effort but Hellhound graphics card…
Its telling that Sony chose AMD instead of Nvidia for the PS5…
White plastic means that shroud is gonna be Yellow in a few years time LOL.
depends how its been made, it is possible to make plastic not discolor over years.
Spend 1000€ on a GPU, flip a coin if it has bad coil whine. ...
Do you have blepharitis because your lashes look super thick sorry 😅
He likes getting bi curious guys to post asking.
That is a really poorly designed cooling block & use of thermal pads especially considering it's a AIB CArd.. Who the hell signed off on all of that and the shit lighting system switch. oh an coil whine, we have to spend hundreds of pounds, dollars or thousands in other currency for mediocre quality
2 1 stars at Overclockers. This card looks like it is really terrible; these are amongst the worst reviews I've seen: basically unsusable, and I wouldn't bother myself.
It's very strange stupidity to do not have RGB, and a physical swith to change led color is a even big stupidity
