It's such crap to keep sticking with traditional storyline. If it makes you feel better. In smallville season 11 comic (from snippet reading), while Lana under the code name starts with "V" was battling a monster in Africa. She ends up having her kryptonite suck out of her which makes her no longer kryptonite toxic to Clark. Clearly, the writer isn't going to lean towards pairing them up but Clana fans can always create another universe story from it. Imagination has no limit.

that is heartbreaking, they clearly had great chemistry. i would've loved if the writers made this version of the superman story one where Clark and Lana ended up together but that is a bitter truth - great chemistry alone isn't enough to ensure you end up with someone.
To those saying that Lana should just go away.... 1. Why are you watching a Clark and Lana clip if you are so tired of seeing her? 2. If I too was a Clois fan, I would feel threatened/ insignificant whenever these two were in the same room together.
So many amazing scenes starring Clark and Lana have been shot in the barn..scenes of sweetness, love and intimacy..scenes filled with warmth..that warmth which unfortunately is almost lacking in this scene...
Lana never deserved clark. She dosen't even know that their were once engaged 💍 and clark told her everything before she was killed. He went back in time and kept everything from her just so she would be safe. That man had a love that went beyond anything for her.
This really should’ve been the end of their relationship. It was a real and mature moment between them as they recognized they weren’t right for one another and that was OK. It didn’t mean they had to like it, but they were grown enough to accept it. The episodes that came afterwards just wrecked the maturity of this scene.
Yassss! I don’t know why it went back to teenage angst after this. Let Kristin’s character have this powerful moment. Ugh. Lana Lang deserves to be an adult woman independent of Clark Kent. This moment makes more sense than their last goodbye.
Seriously! This arc should've been about her and Clark finding the closure they didn't get at the end of S7 and then moving on with their lives. Would've been way better than the character regression we actually got
This scene and the one in bulletproof of Clark saying she was never a distraction. 🥹🥹 ...is proof that their love for one another and their sacrifices for each other is what made them the best versions of themselves. Haters can kick it. Ya'll be jealous and you know it.

Clark obviously disagreed with that statement , he didn’t go after Lois. Whatever he was feeling for Lois at the time paled in comparison to his love for Lana. Writers had to give Lana a kryptonite suit to keep them apart, so sad 😭
