The rear being higher than the front is called positive rake angle. Trucks use it for payload and towing compensation and sports cars use it for aerodynamics.
Ah okay thank you never realized why that was. Usually see some Cherokees leveled and not leveled. I’m assuming for aerodynamics since I don’t have a receiver on the back 😂
Thanks for the video. I just got a 2016 Trailhawk and I'm looking to see what I want to do. It was really good to see what you've done and what you've had some problems with. You definitely have a nice looking rig!
If you want led headlights and fog lights I have the same year model as yours I bought auxito y13 HB3 for the headlights and just the fog lights they recommend and they work great it comes with a adapter thing because every other led had issues with a code being thrown so you should check them out and they have great prices
I bought a snorkel from ebay that is for a Ford Ranger 220.00 then bought a K&N Apollo. After many months of studying MFC's I believe this is what they are selling in a kit. So all in I have about 450.00 in parts and I have a snorkel for my trialhawk. Send me a message and I'll send y a part list
Looking to buy a used cherokee but was reading lots of realiability issues with the 2014/15/16 models... How many miles is on yours and any issues? Cheaper to find a 16 one compared to 18/19/20 but as said, lots of negative reading on the internet about the earlier ones...
Personally looking to purchase and build a trailhawk. Was trying to see what a 2” or 3” lift would look like on one and was sort of disappointed seeing you had the Latitude. Anyways, cool information on other parts. Definitely wouldn’t go any route other than Expedition One on my front bumper. I also want 12mm offsets so my tires sit wide (like 1.5” to 2” out the tire wells). Digging the roof rack/ladder. Definitely a more budget friendly build here and it will still get the job done for anyone interested. Overall good video. Flowmaster 10 on the V6 sounds gnarly from another video I have watched. Also learned the 4 cylinders are more headaches than they are worth. Most common issues with Trailhawks seems to be rear differentials blowing a seal due to a shaft failure. From my understanding it’s because of a design flaw in the rear locker. Still a great off-road vehicle that I look forward to owning after ditching my WJ thst the previous owner neglected, though I wish I could afford a Gladiator or maybe the newly announced Recon EV (but I have to see real-world tests).
I just recently got a 2019 TH 3.2 and it’s a pain to find someone with previous builds that’s on a trail-hawk platform and links what they bought, hard to spend 2 grand on a roof rack so I’m with you in the budget friendly.
Sorry if this was already discussed but there is a way to center the rear wheel better. I’m not sure if this is what you are doing ruclips.net/video/Sg7vt6lEsF0/видео.html
Unfortunately that’s how MFC is. Happened to me on every order I’ve placed. I’ll only buy from them if I have no other option. Not to mention, they have premium prices for average build quality, sometimes even below average. Their instructions that come with the items are also completely useless and half the time it’ll link you to a useless video
Sometimes it goes very smooth on install and other times it’s an absolute nightmare. And I agree a ton with the videos. They just put music over it and drill into the car 😂
Nice rig, but I have a KL TH, and I'd never throw this kind of money or hardware at it. Why? The TRANSMISSION. This is a vehicle that will leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere with zero warning. Do the research on the KL and its transmission issues - these things are ticking time bombs and I'm getting rid of mine as soon as I can.
Bought it with 32k just hit over 110k and just sold it last week and now have a gmc pick up! Had my fun with it transmission never had any issues and even when I sold it still wasn’t slipping or anything. But yes I agree they can be ticking time bombs.
Had a little typo at 19:26 Ignore that 😅
Get you a plastic wheel well liner from the junk yard and cut it to fit that exposed area below the air intake
Great build and great walk thru!

thanks for posting again! I just bought a 2022 Cherokee KL Limited and I'm trying to find out what I wanna do with the car!

Thank you so much! Good luck with your build.
HEY, That's what brought me here too
You happy with the car?
Looking to buy but i read negative stuff about the 14/15/16 year models....( issues, reliability etc..)
Good video, just picked up a 2019. Looking to get her into the Rockies this summer!
thank you for the experiencee bro, just bought a 2019 KL in AZ def hitting the trails any tips for a newbie would be cool! Ducked and tucked
Ever thought about grille lights? I bought some from eBay and slapped them on and they look pretty solid. Except your bumper may be in the way

Hey how did you remove the front bumper to install the bull bar?
I want to get my build like that
are you planning to sell your rims..
Are the parts compatible with the newer style jeep cherokees? (The lift is mostly what I’m looking to do)
Yes!
Where did you get your skid plates?
Gobi rack create much noise? Thanks
Not to bad. I usually have music on. Depends what your carrying!
Go Highlanders!
Now get a trailhawk lol
