I appreciate the fact that we do have a proffeser from IIT who guides us to right path in this fantasized computer science world where branch selection is based on "scope" and money.
obviously people go for branch which gives more money bcoz 90% of aspirants choose engineering field for money only and not bcoz they have interest .its a fact where u like it or not
@@ahead6948 bro most ppl in India are from middle class families... Money matters in the real world not some fancy philosophical thinking 🙂, In the end if u have no money no one will care abt u
I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I got IIT Kharagpur Mechanical in mock allocation round 2 and discovered your channel. Thanks for your insight ,Sir.
Among plethora of videos mostly focusing on the CTC packages, I found your video . Being a mother, I feel relieved that we have taken a right decision giving importance to the department and acumen of the student rather than the institution. Sir, Thank you so much for giving such honest and sincere suggestion to the students. It's really helpful.
Thank you, Madam, for the kind words. While placements and salary packages are certainly important, but I sincerely believe that a student cannot do well unless there is some inherent interest in the student towards the Department. I wish your child all the very best for the future.
@@Prof_JC Sir Geology & Geophysics lena sahi hoga Old IIT me. Ya New IIT me Btech branches. Note I have no interest in any branch. Plss reply kijiega sir. Sir I have 2 option more IIST Thiruvananthapuram Aerospace, ECE & RGIPT CSE ECE , And more branches of RGIPT. I am confused what do I choose.
Thank you Prof. JC for clearing the most common misconception about chemical engineering. In fact at both, research and fundamental levels, there is a significant overlap between the two disciplines. I hope aspiring ChemE students benefit from this information of yours!
Cuz I used to talk like that in 9th/10th. See, I get interest is a factor but it isnt the only factor while selecting a branch. One also needs good prospects after 4 years.
Sir,I strongly appreciate your view..interest in the department is very much needed to succeed but most of the career counselors are guiding students and guardians to opt for the dream institute rather than departments..they say you can change departments after one year/you can do MBA after btech/you can participate in placement from any departments/ you will get best environment in dream college and your life will be smooth whatever department you choose/ you will get good placement only for tag/ you can learn coding from other sources whatever department you choose and sit for placement......many students are regretting following their advice.....imo admission in iit and nit only for tag and not showing interest in the department is a big mistake
It is certainly true that in the big-name colleges there are certain long-standing traditions which enhance the student experience. Plus a big advantage is the peer group that the students get to grow up with. However, when it comes to the actual studies, if the student is not at all interested in the subject matter then it is no good. The richness of co-curricular and extra curricular activities cannot be a substitute for the actual curricular activities if one is really interested in building a genuine career in professional engineering or higher studies.
Sir honestly speaking from my heart, I respect your guidance and opinions par hume toh paisa kamana hai (mostly) ...in order to support our family... that's why we prefer Cse or MnC...instead of "do what you love" we are going for "love what you need to do" approach...which is not bad at all..instead very LOGICAL...atleast for financially tight families
Very true. Branches are selected according to placement status only not the intrest. How 12th student decided his intrest without knowing the course content of the stream. This is the drawback of IIT admission system.
Best video I could ever have found on this topic. No beating around the bush, straight and to the point. Thanks a lot sir... with plenty of opinions going around, I was very confused but i am glad i took the right decision.
Sir I'm very much interested in the engineering physics branch (I could get it in IIT Mandi/BHU) , but due to placement issues in that branch people are suggesting me to go for mechanical. What should I really take? (I like and already do coding)
You can try dual degree program for btech + mtech in iist There u will going to do btech in engineering physics & then in last 1 year u have to choose one subject from various topics for m tech like astronomy, earth physics,, If u do a great job in those 5 years isro will give u job directly
I'm not a iistian,, I'm a dropper this year 🙂 my st rank in jee advanced 956 🙂🙂 If i got a good rank i will go for that what I'm suggesting u 😁 ,,,let's see next year 🙂
Nice video Sir. Many Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineers are jobless even they passed out fom IITs/NITs in their core fields. So it is making us to go for CSE/ECE to even in any private institutes to get a nice jobs in IT fields.
Nobody will talk about it...they just want to be good at subject and course....we want guidance on how we can grow in career and life... we studied like Robots whether we had resources or not ,we were interested in subjects or not !! despite everything we nailed the subjects to get into these colleges😑😑
Sir, Please Help Me 😅😅, I'm unable to understand whether to choose IISER BS in engineering sciences with electrical engineering and computer science Or Some NIT Also I face the problem that looking at curriculum CSE makes no sense to me because 90% of topics are untouched by me and I'm unable to understand whether I'll feel interested or not I did feel electrical or EEE, ECE did interest me because I feel my favorite in 10+2 was chemistry (organic) which is not a part of engineering also I feel modern physics interested me more followed by semiconductors and magnetism or electricity So unable to kind of decide Plus I also got a whole confusion, I did feel good making websites in school but maths was my weakness in jee Please suggest me your views sir, please guide me, I got no one to help in depth
This is the problem exactly People (not only students, but everyone) are crazy about two things : IIT Bombay and CS engineering They don't even study CS in their +2 if it is available in their school, just to get good marks in boards or JEE They might not be interested in that, but go because of pressure from all sides "as they scored so high they should go for CS because it is least available for others so why leave this opportunity" My friend is also crazy for IITB irrespective of whatever branch she gets. May she get the right subjects, she worked so hard, she seems to be unaware of her interests
Hello sir if possible can you make a video on mechanical engineering and chemical engineering differences and similarities??.. Glad to see an iitian Professor helping us out in this process ..thank you sir🙏🙏
Sir as you mentioned, interest in department is primary criteria. I had a look at all syllabi for all the main branches. I have only Jee level knowledge of mechanics and thermodynamics ,which I enjoyed. I have absolutely 0 knowledge of CS and its department courses and thus do not know if I would enjoy them as and when I come across them. Going by this limited knowledge alone I would choose mechanical or chemical engg. but prospects of these branches do not compare with CS. What can be done in this situation? Is interest the only criterion?
I have already mentioned about CS. If you are good in the pure maths type of chapters ... and especially combinatorial mathematics, there is high likelihood that you will do well in CS.
@@Prof_JC sir I'm getting applied geology in IIT KGP , I had serious interest in geography in my class 9th but I had to choose Science stream for engineering now I m lil bit affected towards the subject but at the same time highly worried about job Security, for I belong to a very poor family and my parents can't afford any failure 4 year's journey of clg.... What should I do sir... And pls give some idea about material science too
Tbh honest bro calling something your interest/passion which you studied back in class 9 is completely wrong. Ncert geography in class 9 != Geology at IIt kgp . Go for the safer option and choose circuital branch
This is why Im saying interest should not be only criteria. Future job prospects are a factor too. What's point of being a passionate mechanical engineer when you don't earn much despite efforts being at par with your CS counterparts.
Hello sir, I am little bit confused between choosing a branch for josaa counseling Kgp electrical vs Guwahati ECE vs Roorkee ece vs Delhi ka mechanical vs dhanbad ka CSE vs Patna ka CSE kya better rahega?? Please bata dijiye
I do not have inside knowledge about the departments you mentioned in the other IITs. But KGP Electrical is legendary. It has superb profs, and a very, very strong UG curriculum.
Totally agree with it - if you're sure of what stream you want to pick, prefer stream over institute and be ready to put in a lot of hard work and self study. NPTEL is how we got through engineering during undergrad (EE folks, check out lectures by Profs. Madan Gopal and SC Dutta Roy). Back then internet wasnt cheap so we would divide the lecture downloads amongst us and use BSNL's free night internet (200kbps!!) to download lectures and then share them on DVDs. Things are a lot lot better now and the quality and amount of online content has improved significantly. What you're passionate about need not be what you're initially good at. I'm fairly above average in computer programming. Yet I can't see myself doing it for hours. On the other hand, I struggled to learn analog design. But I can work on a circuit analysis or deaign problem for hours without knowing how much time passed. Knowing this difference is important. It's a marriage - the real strength is known in difficult times, i.e., when you've got to study/work on the dry/mundane stuff. If you're not sure of what you're interested in, spend some time online finding out what various streams do.
Hello professor What you said sir is 100 percent true, even I did my Bachelors from A Reputed college of Maharashtra (coep pune) in mechanical Engineering and currently I'm working in a core company where alot of things I studied during my Btech is still relevant and being used. But Since I was already interested In mechanical Engineering I find it Easy enough to work but for people binding choosing college over branch and vice versa Is nearly blindness
This year I am also getting COEP mechanical but I am quite doubtful about the job. And getting IT in VIT Pune. Also I love maths the most but a little bit weak. So in this situation which could be best option keeping in mind a good and stable life ? Kindly reply.

Sir what are the criterias that we must keep in mind when we are selecting a non-IIT or non-NIT college? Should we focus on our interests or choose according to the markets demand (i.e cse, IT etc.) ? Some help and advice would really be appreciated and lots of love for these amazing videos. Thank You.
Hello sir, from my highschool i liked computers (both hardware and software) and I am getting cse in mid NIT's and EEE in top 4NIT's. As you said that CSE involves a better maths mind, as I scored more because of physics and chemistry, I like maths but only calculus as of our +2 syllabus. What should I do? I'm also getting mech in newer IIT'S and geotech/mining in old IIT's.
Different branches in computer science use different fields in mathematics. Like Algorithm Design and Analysis mainly uses discrete maths, some techniques from analysis. ML and data analytics are mainly linear algebra, probability and statistics. In Quantum Computing, you basically need to know all the maths but mainly functional analysis, linear algebra etc. If you want to go into software engineering like web development, app development then you will encounter barely any maths. In a nutshell, usage of mathematics in Computer Science highly depends on which field in CS you want to pursue. But having a problem mindset is extremely useful no matter which field you get into.
@@MayankGoel447 I feel I'm good at problem solving.... A little witty you can assume..... Maths I know calculus really well..... Algebra no because I couldn't get time in jee prep to study it in deep....
If a candidate having PhD from any central university of India who has good research work in respective engineering fields will he get less importance in assistant prof post as compared to a candidate having PhD from NIT or IIT just because of IIT tag??
thankyou sir for the video but it could be great if you could give your opinion on my situation mains rank - 4220 adv rank - 10948 with this, I can easily get branches like cs or electronics at good NITs, which I'm interested in. But the IIT tag seems really tempting at the same time too even though I realize I'll be going for the lowest of branches like ceramic and mining. So should I be considering the iit tag in such a situation?
Sir, I wanted cse as I like coding. But I am not getting cse in any top nits should I choose any different branch in top nits(because of good start-up culture) or should I take cse in lower iiits? Please 🙏🙏🙏🙏 reply
According to your video , I feel like I shouldn't do engineering 😂😂 because I don't have any wild interest in Physics and I have interest in maths but I am not that great at problem solving nor am I getting CSE . I like physical chemistry and organic chemistry but I will never study inorganic by choice . Rank is 8454 . What would you suggest me to do sir !! I am very confused . I watched about branches , people tell about mechanics , rotation , fluids in different branches . I don't have any issue with logical part of Physics but I have never been able to solve typical problems on my own and that maybe the cause of me trying to run away from that . I am more than ready to study anything for engineering which comes with a practical backing ( from what I know engineering is all about application) . Please give your suggestions. I don't have any option in NIT , rank of 42132 there .
@Vibhanshu Chaturvedi Hello bhaiya..which branch did you choose...I'm am feeling the same as you had wriiten here..can u plz guide how did you come to a conclusion and took what branch and how is it after almost 8 months.
I love maths and that was my strongest subject in +2 but I didn't score good in jee maths and my rank isn't that good to get cs even I can't get electrical in mid iits , all i can get is civil/meta in medicore iits what should I do sir?? I have interest in civil though...
Hello sir i found your advise much helpful , So i am gonna prefer avg NIt over (iit lower branch ).Can you please suggest me whether I should choose ECE or Electrical Engineering branch if am bit intrested in circuits and designing things using electricity and also which has huge opportunities in both govt and private sector .
Hello sir, I had a doubt that i am getting good branches like BITS ECE,EEE,ENI, but in IITs i'm getting IITR,IITK Biotech, i don't have a knack for biotech, but on the other hand, there is a doubt in me regarding the IIT tag, can you please answer which will be better sir?? THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR.
Sir i really like chemistry and in physics i was especially interested in Charges, magnetism and waves but i didnt give enough time to mechanics. Is there any branch which would be appropriate for me ? Also i am thinking to opt for chemical engineering.
Chemical engineering is very close to physics, especially if one goes into higher studies. There is a lot of differential equations based theory too. I think you will really enjoy studying chemical engineering.
I want to take civil or material science at iit and give other exams later but my family is not financially stable and those branches even at iits don't guarantee placements. So they want me to take triple ITs...
Very well put, Sir. This "Institute or Department" dillema is very hard to crack. I have loved studying Computer science in +2 and I always knew I wanted to continue with CSE. So while preparing for JEE it would often cross my mind, that how would Advanced toppers who take up IITB CSE know whether CSE is their field of interest? How is the cutoff consistently so high? Then I realized it's all decided by the placement perspective ( mostly) although I think they are more eligible than me to study CSE. They are hardworkers afterall, and I'm not judging anyone here.😅
@@spankomaster He didn't mean it's bad. But it's not something most of them plan to do. It's just that when they feel lost, they join coaching where I think, the IITian tag is the most helpful.
Sir I was never very good at math, my extremely high scores in physics and chemistry helped me get a good rank in mains , now everyone is suggesting I should take up cs …. Will it be a wise decision or should I take up ece?
Not what you exactly said but basically opt the department which contains topics which were of considerable interest during +2...now given someone might be interested in physics..how good would engineering physics as a branch(also given the student has some qualitative ideas of what lagrangian hamiltonian mech..electromagnetism..etc is)
Sir I am very interested in robotics engineering. I wanted to ask you that which branch would be best suited to take in btech so that it will be most relevant to go for robotics. Also sir I want to know if one joins IITs or any other government technical institute how he should be proceeding to build a career in robotics engineering
There are different aspects to robotics. If you are interested in the hardware side ... then mechanical or electronics/electrical. If you are interested in the software side then CS or Maths and Computing.

Sir how is industrial and manufacturing engineering at IIT Kharagpur, is it comparable to mechanical, does it have good scope? Shall I opt for it before civil? (I loved mechanics and physics) Also Sir you mentioned Chemical engineering, does it have no chemistry, and if it does then does it have Inorganic chemistry? This is because I hated studying chemistry (inorganic), physical chemistry was alright for me.
I am interested in semiconductors, current electricity, logic gates and these are the topics which I would love to study even if I have to do it for 20 hours a day. So should I opt for new iits like IIT jammu electrical instead of mechanical at IIT IsM Dhanbad??
Sir, the issue is no matter what department one is choosing, most are ending up in software profile. Many of my friends are extremely good in core but still wanting to go in software profile.

Sir I have a fairly good interest and inclination towards mechanics and the related points u mentioned in the video...and I am having option of IIT BHU mechanical and IIT Roorkee civil...Sir it would be very helpful if you could suggest me which should be my first preference...Thank you sir
Civil at Roorkee has a legendary tradition going back to the days before it was an IIT. I am not sure what it is now, but my guess is that kind of strong tradition does not go away easily. Plus Roorkee overall is a great Institute.

I have not studied Computer science from last 5 years (9th-12th and drop year) and today I am inclined towards CSE just because of their packages. Even I am visiting curriculum of Civil and Chemical departments (which I am getting at my rank) and they are seeming intresting from outside and might be boring when I will actually study them. My inclination of choosing College over branch is exposure and opportunities, I might change my thought of becoming engineer (good) in 2nd year and then end up doing MBA after my graduation and the reason is I don't know anything about Engineering which is with the case of most of the students. Might be joining Civil Engineering at IIT-KGP, hope I will not regret! Thanks sir for your guidance.

You can try dual degree program for btech + mtech in iist
There u will going to do btech in engineering physics & then in last 1 year u have to choose one subject from various topics for m tech like astronomy, earth physics,,
If u do a great job in those 5 years isro will give u job directly

People (not only students, but everyone) are crazy about two things : IIT Bombay and CS engineering
They don't even study CS in their +2 if it is available in their school, just to get good marks in boards or JEE
They might not be interested in that, but go because of pressure from all sides "as they scored so high they should go for CS because it is least available for others so why leave this opportunity"
My friend is also crazy for IITB irrespective of whatever branch she gets.
Tbh honest bro calling something your interest/passion which you studied back in class 9 is completely wrong. Ncert geography in class 9 != Geology at IIt kgp . Go for the safer option and choose circuital branch

I do not have inside knowledge about the departments you mentioned in the other IITs. But KGP Electrical is legendary. It has superb profs, and a very, very strong UG curriculum.
@@Prof_JC thanks sir for your advice
I hope students of this generation see this comment!

Same situation bro, I hope sir replies
We r same bro
Electrical enineering uses more calculus. CSE you will use things like Permutation combination, etc(Pure maths)

I watched about branches , people tell about mechanics , rotation , fluids in different branches . I don't have any issue with logical part of Physics but I have never been able to solve typical problems on my own and that maybe the cause of me trying to run away from that .

If you are stronger in Physics, I think it is advisable to go into ECE instead of CS.
Not what you exactly said but basically opt the department which contains topics which were of considerable interest during +2...now given someone might be interested in physics..how good would engineering physics as a branch(also given the student has some qualitative ideas of what lagrangian hamiltonian mech..electromagnetism..etc is)

He obviously wants to choose NIT due to better course and in which he thinks, he can do better. As a parent ,your video has given some clarity.Thank you Sir
All the very best to your son! If he himself is inherently interested in pursuing CS, then please let him take it.
I really enjoyed studying CS in my +2. That's why instead of choosing Top NITs and top IIITs non-CSE branches I am going with CSE in NSUT,DTU according to my rank. Is my decision right?
I also have choice between CSE and CSAI branch. In CSAI branch there is specialization in Artificial Intelligence(which I am not sure of) Should I consider doing specialization in AI or prefer general CSE?
Please tell your suggestion
FUTURE IS AI
Take general CSE .as you can see in which field in CS you have interest it will be better
Hi sir,
I did not got enough rank to get CSE but somehow I managed to get a decent rank to pursue branches like Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgy in top NITs. I'm interested in CSE but parallelly I also need a good college. So I decided to choose Chemical, Mechanical or Civil in NITK Surathkal which is near to my home and try to upgrade branch in 2nd year. But now you are telling that branch upgradation is a trap, then what should I do sir ? I want to study CSE and also want to study in NITK Surathkal. Please suggest me something sir 🙏 I'm very confused.
Thank you .
do not depend on branch transfer , you may not be able to transfer your branch even if you study every time
@@RahulKumar-fy5rwI heard most IT companies don't allow electrical students to sit in placements. Is that true cz I'm getting electrical...
@@kronox4667 no that's not true at all one my friend who is currently studying in nit Rourkela have said that top companies allows every branch students because for those skill matters not branch
What make this video unique from other videos on this topic is that :- It is enriched with experiences of such a Great Professor from India's best institute.
We must definitely follow him for our own betterment!
And, sir I too made my decision taking my preferred Department rather the Dream institute.
Because I can't survive with a Department which I don't have interest in for 4 whole years.
Well... Thanks A Lot sir for this immensely important video. Many many students would be benefited by this.
Thank you very much for the extremely kind words. I wish you all the best in your choice and ensuing career!
Sir, i'm intrested in pursuing computer science engineering. However, i'm a bit confused as to what should be my priority in between IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur. I'm planning to choose B.Tech in CSE, 4 years.Sir, could you please let me know as to which one i should prefer to choose? I've also been planning to take a minor in physics and further pursue M.Tech in CSE. Could you please also let me know your opinion about the above decision i've made about my academics, sir?
Thank you
I do not have inside knowledge about IIT Kanpur CS, so I won't comment. But CS at KGP is absolutely fantastic. There are some great profs here. There is a lot of flexibility in the curriculum so you can carve out a profile of your choice. There are some research centres too to whet your appetite in truly advanced and cutting edge topics. By the way, congratulations on getting a high rank!
@@Prof_JC Thank you for your well wishes and helping me with my doubts, sir!
I'm honestly overwhelmed and really happy that a professor at an IIT spoke to me!!
Sir right now I am getting nit h but couldn't make into iit due to lack of revision in preparation I wanted to get into research but nit h doesn't has the research environment like IITs/top nits according to some seniors and it was my drop year so should I take again a partial drop or prepare for gate to get into IITs or to prepare for masters in abroad.I am very passionate to work and explore in the artificial intelligence field.
Thank you sir for such an honest opinion about Depart vs Institute. In internet most of youtuber suggest to go for the dream institute. My son cleared Jee Adv this year and his interest area is Mechanics. We are not able to decide out of these options. IIT BHU ( Civi)( As many are suggesting to go to IITBHU) , IIT Dhanbad Mecahnical, IIT BBS Mechanical, IIT Indore Mechanical, IIT Patna Mechanical, IIT Dhanbad Engineering Physics. Please Suggest.
Im from IIT Indore. Our mechanical department is not impressive....so id suggest you don't take it
Thanks for reaching out on behalf of your son. Among the choices you mentioned I know only a bit about IIT BBS Mechanical, which is good. You can think about it.
Sir please talk about non core placements the reason some students give preference to college rather than branch it will be very helpful for students like me
Sir I am confused between IIT Bombay Mechanical and IIT Madras Electrical. One thing I don't understand is why in previous year, IITB Mech closes at a higher rank than IIT Madras Electrical even when IIT Madras is ranked higher than IIT Bombay. I am interested in Physics and Maths and am weak at chemistry. What would be your advice as also apart from academics I have heard IIT Bombay is more talked of than IIT Madras( contributing factors like cutural fests, techfests, bombay city, etc) as I myself am from Bombay.
Thank you sir
Sir my %ile in jee mains is 75%ile. Should I participate in josaa counselling plzz reply...?!
Sir I got 86 rank in jee advanced. I'm confused on choosing among CSE at IITD and IITM. Which one do you prefer sir and why?
Congratulations on the really great result. I cannot imagine there being any significant different between IITD and IITM for CS. So please make your choice based on other factors like how far away from home the institute is. Back when we were students we heard that some North Indian students faced a bit of problem with the food at IITM. (It is a luxury for you to be thinking of these factors! :) )
IITD any day
Thank u so much sir..really insightful
Sir how is iitB BS chemistry.. I m getting that 🤔
Environmental eng ( 5 yrs) and metallurgy and material sciences bhi mil rha hai (5yr)
I have interest in chemical eng.. But nit getting it in iit B and iit D.. Crl (456*)
Sir should we be biased on taking IITs for their tags or we can go for best NITs also with top branch. I have huge interest on math and physics but unfortunately I couldn’t get best IITs.
Rank?
This is failure of IIT admission system. Department allotment must be done after first year when students have some knowledge about branches, scope and liking.
Yeah
Sir I got selected to IISc BS program . I am extremely interested in Physics . Will BS help me in my career sir
?
If you are ready to put in the time and effort to go into higher studies ... which is absolutely necessary if you wish to build your career in Physics, then the opportunity at IISc is a great one. Go for it.
@@Prof_JC Thank you sir.
Many people around me are creating a rumour that IISc will not give you a career , some people are asking me to go to NITs or IITs instead of joining IISc etc
Thats why I was confused sir.
Please choose circuital branch rather than Institute
Respected sir,
Can you make a video on research internships (in india and foreign noth) during UG in 2nd/ 3rd yr ?
And how to avail MiTacs and FTP like programs ?
Both for students of kgp campus and out of campus .
Sir I have interest in chemical engineering, should I choose ICT Mumbai ?
Bro you can go if you want to really do chemical or go for higher studies for chemical
Respected sir
I was heavely confused For josaa choice filling.. ..
And here U come like an angel in my google feed...😇
I appreciate your wisdom and efforts that U have put in. 🙂
Thank U so much prof. 🙏
Thank you for the kind words. And all the best!
I'm from bihar, My ST rank is 1205 (male) in jee-mains
Which college and branch should i choose? I'm not sure about future. Sometimes i think about Placement, startup, Coding
Colleges I selected - VNIT NAGPUR (MECHANICAL), NIT ROURKELA (CHEMICAL), NIT SURAT (ELECTRICAL).... or should i prefer other college?
Sir what is your opinion on IISERs? I am more than likely to join one of them and i want some insights
IISERs are great places to study especially if you are interested in going for higher studies.
Sir I am confused between cse in new iit's and mechanical, civil, chemical in top 7 iits , it would be really helpful if u can guide ....
It's better to join in case in new IITs
Sir i have choice of IIT BOMBAY environmental, IIT Kanpur Biotech, IIT Kgp Ocean and Naval Engineering , IIT Gandhinagar mechanical which should i prefer
Sir please tell me which one should I choose
IIT KGP : Mech (dual degree)
IIT KGP : Industrial and systems engineering (4 year)
IIT GUWAHATI : Mech ( 4 year)
Please help me sir
I am of course going to suggest IIT KGP Mechanical Dual. I was myself a student of this course!
Thank you so much professor, this video was very helpful :)
Sir i love electrodynamics, but the problem is that I'm not able to get electrical (or related) branch in any of the top IIT's but i can get those in newer IIT's for sure.
What should I do go for old IIT's like Delhi (Product and Industrial Engineering) or Kanpur (Civil Engineering) or IIT Gandhinagar (Electrical Engineering) ????
sir i cleared jee advance this year 2023 but i have alot of confusion around this everyone saying chose college over branch but you cleared all things ....college is only for 4 years but branch is with me 40 years.....
what you have opted?
Students get the deptts by ranks and not by choice. What you are suggesting is for selected few in top 200 ranks especially for IITS...
Sir I have very high interest in physics which branch i can choose
Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering: All of these are basically applications of various fundamental principles of physics. Or, you can directly choose Physics if you are willing to put in the time and effort required to go into higher studies.
@@Prof_JC thank you sir
@@Prof_JC Sir, Electrical engineering is based on fundamental principles of physics?
Sir please I'm thinking of IIT Dhanbad (ISM) Minning engineering because of its speciality in Minning and minor course in CSE to learn coding side by side and being able to sit in almost every it companies.
I'm also getting NSIT/DTU ECE
NIT kurukshetra IT
Please give your views upon this because I have zero experience in coding
It would be really helpful sir 🛐🛐
Sir please give reply to this as I am in a big confusion so please give your advice to this
I am getting : 1) mechanical in IIT Indore/ IIT Ropar / IIT Gandhinagar / IIT Dhanbad/ IIT Bhubaneshwar etc
2) electrical in IIT Tirupati/ IIT Goa /IIT Dharwad / IIT Bhilai/IIT Palakkad/IIT Jammu etc
what should i choose between these 2 options
If i think about institution then option 1 seems good to take or if I think about department then option 2 seems good to take
Please give your advice to this sir it will be very helpful
I am not getting any good college sir. I got 85 percentile in jee mains and getting chandigarh university and bennette university through my boards(95 %)..Should I take drop ? I have an other option too getting management seats in local college. Please help me sir....:((
Hi Sir, good morning and a lot if respect.
Should student choose BITS PILANI , Pilani centre if getting computer science against lower branch in IIT like chemical in IIT BHU or Guwahati
