the lock/clamp rod and spring design at around 7:54 is kinda stupid because it tends to rust apart and a replacement kit never comes with new ones so you have to find a bolt and a lock nut of the same size/dimension to replace it. The newer cars has the same mechanism but it looks a bit different, still has this issue as well.

Most of the work here is skipped tho, because believe me the hardest part of changing brake shoes is removing everything. The brake drum in the video came off no problem, but in reality you will struggle to take it off without a puller or a slide hammer, since it will be rusted on.
Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, the complexity of replacement on each machine is individual, it all depends on the technical condition of the parts. Our videos are for informational purposes only in the sequence of replacement and to save time, we loosen some nodes earlier. Best Regards, Autodoc team
I just tried this, everything was stuck, everything was rusted and siezed. I've either ripped the hose or fucked the wheel cylinder trying to get everything off, all the brake fluid pissed out everywhere and I now have zero brakes. Calling out a mobile mechanic to finish off my mess. What a fucking joke of a design.
Bom video, Um video com a substituição do kit de embraiagem seria porreiro. Será pedir muito?! De resto quero agradecer os videos aqui apresentados que muito nos facilitam a vida. Obrigado

The hole work is absolutely WRONG!! The new brake shoes has two fuses for the auto adjusting mechanism. In the video hasn"t been in place. Also the bar which opens the two brake pads in order to be auto adjusted has been placed vise versa.
Thanks for the guide, but the mechanic put back less parts than he took out!!!!!!!! 1 part less to be exact. The little centering circlip on the stud that keeps the auto-adjuster centred on its pivot. And it is because of this that you will find so many Corsa's lying in the scrap heap due to hand brake failure, look it up if you don't believe me, the possible class action lawsuit regarding the runaway Corsa's due to faulty back brakes and poor guidance. I sincerely hope anyone else who watches this puts back ALL the parts they took out.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your valuable clarification, In common, it is called brake pad. But we know that popularly it is called shoe. Technically, they are called drum-type brake pads. Best regards, Autodoc.

Any changes to the design of the braking system are not recommended.
