I know a guy who is a professional satellite dish ante antenna installer, he is 55 years old. He told me that back in the 70s and 80s in order to get a good picture on VHF Low band, if you couldn't install a VHF Low antenna you could use a 3 element Yagi FM antenna, or a 5 element FM Yagi antenna for long distance reception. He said that he used a 3 element FM Yagi antenna for VHF Low and FM reception, and VHF High antenna, we didn't had UHF channels untill early 90s.
@@NorthcoasterHobby I forgot to mention that some TVs, even with a good antenna, they couldn't get a good reception due to poor tuners Other TVs had very good tuners so you could also receive channels outside your reception area.
Looks like the one you tried out not too long ago. It just doesn't have the low UHF element. Like to see you try out the gigantic televes antenna. Antenna man said it is the best on the market.
I did not know that this one does not have a built in amplifier. Interesting. Sure did a. good job of picking up your stations though. I'm thinking about swapping out my ANT705 that I bought at Walmart. Its in a tight space in my attic, the only location where I can pick up ABC. Thinking I could use something a little better.
@@CrazyLuigiBros123 Use the Amiko Mini. Sounds like your dish is not aimed properly. Either that or the settings in your receiver are not correct, or both.
I love it when you do antenna videos.
Thank you, I appreciate you watching!

@@Nicholas_Chris FM antennas can definitely work for Low-VHF channels. I have a couple and I think I might make a video about that.

Nice review. …Idk what happens to all these antennas, after you review them!
@@joeprete7424 I store them. Some I put up and use on a more permanent basis. Thanks for watching!
Good video. Lots of good information here!

Useful info again. If I want to use this in Australia do I have to mount it upside down?
