Hello, and thank you for this tutorial! I'm a male dancer (yes really) and I was just looking for a tutorial to twirl the skirt, your video helped me a lot in improving my dance.
I see a few guys on RUclips who dance with those kind of skirts, and public perception ain't stopping them. So, go on if you really want to, but if you'd find it humilating to do it publicly, then just do it in your own time and space. ^^
I'm Mexican and there is a group called Mexico DE colores. They are men who have a folk inspired show and wear skirts. They are greatly accepted.. Google them, you should try

lupita ramos hello! So glad we could help! The two biggest tips I can give you is to 1) spot. A very basic priniciple that will help you not be dizzy and also keep your body in alignment when turning, and 2) the ball of the foot opposite of the direction of the turn (if your turning right, the right foot stays grounded and your left is the foot you push off of) should be completely drilled into the ground. The only thing you lift is the heel. Also putting all of your weight into that grounded foot. It helps to bend the knee a bit. Hope this made sense.

@@gerrymcgrory1221 a man wearing a skirt is not crossdressing. what is crossdressing is dressing up to look like a female (if you're a male) men wore skirts in times past and still do.. i'm wearing that kind of skirt right now, and i am still seen as a man. how? short hair, beard, manly voice, and a manly way of interacting with others
if you give me one for a relatively cheap price (or a free one, which of course is way better), then i would totally like and sub. those look like good skirts to wear. not for dancing, but for any day wear. dancing is for dancers, i'm not a dancer

You go get every thing on the dress then find someone to sew it together the way you want it
