I feel there is a lot missing here. The tutorial section resulted in the weird box sphere and the rest shows the awesome lilac thing from the thumb but does tell you how to get there...
Hi in the first step i have my sphere connected to the for each loop and have a transform where i put the $CEX etc.. but it doesn't change anything. When i move the uniform scale it just scaling the sphere normally :(
@@MotionDesignersCommunityTV That doesn't seem to work for me. it's still just scaling the sphere. This is turning into a really frustrating tutorial, since i can't get past the first step.
great tutorial! Its a bit confusing on patreon. you said in the video here, that there is more on patreon, but I cant seem to see any more on this topic. are they coming in the future?
Thanks!! We have a tutorial about bastract forms and using laplacian :) Going into loops with more depth! If you have any suggestion for future tutorial btw do not hesitate!!
@@maximehacquard1416 thanks man! just curious if its possible to pick a random color for each iteration instead of assigning one for each single iteration?
Of course yes, my exemple was just to explain that you can get control over each piece, but you can of course apply a value / randomness to any kind of parameter :) Even using different nodes than the wrangle!
I've asked this question a long time ago, but never got an answer. Maybe someone will answer this time. Lol How does one get any dynamics or animation done in Houdini, into Cinema 4D (without the Houdini engine)?
Stuck on the second step already(someone else commented on it too below), not a very good tutorial, and author doesn't seem to care to answer on people's comments...i guess you'd have to pay first to get his attention...
Try to add a facet node before and use a facet. Tick "Unique Points" :) Stay confident and positive man, Houdini is a big piece of software to learn. Also i'm not at all active in RUclips comments. You can find me when i'm available through MDC Discord or Facebook groups. Wich are to me better places to interact. Cheers
This was great! One of the best intros to loops. Thank you!

AAAHHH finally figured it out... Dude keeps saying "for loop with feedback". but he is using the "for each primative"
Looks great. Can you use Houdini Indie to export to C4D?
Houdini indie YES.
Houdini apprentice Yes and No, you can only export obj, not animation or assets from apprentice
@@MotionDesignersCommunityTV Awesome thank you for the reply
thanks for the tutorial and your effort! really appreciate it
Thanks man 🙏
Wath til the end! Thets great! so easy to understand
Merci beaucoup pour le tutoriel! Et ton accent n'est pas mal :)
$CEX is not being recognised by houdini for me ?
i am on houfini script and the box is green.
The problem is i used polygon soup instead of polygon.

Make sure you're using the "for each primitive" node... I was using the wrong "for" node and it was really frustrating.
First step, create "for each primitive".. doesn't exist. Can't find it. Ok. I learned nothing yay!
"for each loop" not primitive
just start tutorials without intro thanks
Gracias.Multithread when compiled option works in tandem with a compile block.Ticking it alone does'nt multithread.
Okay thanks for the precious info!
I thought so, and know few advanced Houdini artists thinking the same way.
