I just watched the movie but I'm confused because there are parts at the end of this video that wasn't in the movie? The movie ended while he was watching the film that Alfredo left for him with me thinking that he never seen the girl again, yet in this video there are parts that look like he did see her and she pulled up in a car and opened the door for him to get in, how did I miss that?
MS, there is a 'director's cut" you can buy the DVD on Amazon. When I first show the theatrical version I felt the same way, did he ever see his true love again. The release that version because of time constraints for the movie theaters. When I bought the director's cut all your answers are answered and the film for me is totally complete and a beautiful lovely film about young love that never dies. A lot of people don't like the 'director's cut' I love it. That is the only one I watch now
You are referring to the director's cut restored in the dvd release. The director saw the daughter of his lost love who looked like her. He followed her and called from the phone booth across her house. They met in the evening and made love in the car. From their last phone talk, Elena is putting an end to their affair and won't see him again as she is already married. At least, it was a more satisfying ending than the shortened movie version.

From their last phone talk, Elena is putting an end to their affair and won't see him again as she is already married. At least, it was a more satisfying ending than the shortened movie version.
@@jesusclavo2994 The original ending is more evocative and made more sense. No surprise though that most men prefer the director's cut.

+herociouz Don't be so pessimist, life is beautiful, of course if you see beyond your tribulations, you'll find Life so incredible beautiful, go to a wooden area or to the sea or lakes or mountains and seat in silence and listen to your surrounded area and think a happy thought, a puppy or a bird, try it, you'll found and feel much better and practice meditation and listen to beautiful melodies, that's what I do when I feel that nobody likes me, or i feel lonely. Think of God or what ever your believes are and formulate questions and responses will come to you, if you know how to interpret them, in a singing of a bird or a t.v. program or somewhere, where you less expected, the answer will come, I promise.
