Very nice 112, love them older ones. I have a 112 from 1973-1974 with little pins. The stamp on mine doesn’t have the dots, just Buck 112 USA. Probably my favorite knife I have. Thanks for sharing yours. I really enjoy the videos. Very nice knives.
The 112 can do pretty much all that 110 can but lighter and more pocketable easier to use everyday boxes well above its weight the 420hc is razor sharp i used one everyday and once a week i would bring it back with a ceramic stone then strop it on leather a few times then just pop some hairs on my forearm to check ready for another weeks work 420hc performs like high end steel but doesn't hold its edge as long no problem its dead easy to resharpen thats why its my choice for survival knife very tough they call the 112 the RANGER small lightweight but capable all the best
The 112 is just a great blade, size is darn near perfect for me. I do prefer it over the 110 but the 110 is still an awesome blade!! Thanks for sharing this one with us!!
Great knife and great review. I have only one buck 112 and original sheath. I had it for over thirty years. I believe It is a 1988 model. I live on Kauai and we have a lot of cowboys and outdoorsman here. A lot of people still carry a buck folder on their belts. Thanks again for sharing your collection.
What many younger folks don't realize is that the Buck 110&112 were the "tactical" knife 50+ years ago. I knew a lot of law enforcement and military that carried them with their leather carry rigs and 6 shot revolver.
Thought a long time about which Buck to get first: 55, then 110, finally decided on a 112FG. Traded that for a 110 50th Anniversary, which I still have along with two more 110s and a 55. Need to get a 112 to round out the collection.
I have not heard that story before! I have a 112 from about 2018 and I feel the quality is inferior to my 110 two dot? I would still recommend it though.
@@dwheeler016 I might be mistaken but I don't believe buck ever made one dot they made a no. And then a two Dot they did make a little dimple to test the hardness on the very early ones either way that's a great knife you have
112 or 110 , ??? ..... depending on my mood. There still is a few models that are made overseas but they are so blatantly obvious It really doesn't matter. I mean very few models.
Guns, guitars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and Buck knives! Besides a good woman what more could a man want? God bless America!🇺🇸👍
Great looking 112. Lots lighter in your pocket. Have a wonderful evening brother
Hey Jason! Thanka man!

The 112 was my first Buck knife.
@@Denman500. did you get one of the original ones ? Do you still have it
@@sixgunslingin I got it in the early 70's and lost it 40 years ago.

Hey Brother, another great very informative video. I have a newer 110 with ebony from Africa and the quality is excellent. I hope you have a good day.
Congrats on that new 110! Guess i gotta get one
Haha, you really do get a lot of knife for money though.

Ps. After watching your video, I’ll be carrying my 112 today. I haven’t worn or used it in a long time. You inspired me to bust it out again.
@@GaryMata-k6g get it out and thump on that thing!

Great knives. Can’t really beat a 110 or a 112 in any of the variations they come in. Thanks for sharing.

I need to get me a 55 as well I really like those
@@sixgunslingin you'll love it. I wish it was cheaper though, the price isn't proportionate to the size :).

@@Mike-kc8rl yes that is what happened that's why a lot of old-time guys don't like the 112 because they think it's a form of control I like them
@sixgunslingin
Yes, that's how it is here in the UK now! It's getting harder to even justify carrying a swiss army knife!
It's not inferior, just a little different, refined even.
When I was in the Army in the early 70's we could carry the 112 in uniform as a tool and it was a tool.
Very cool
