I understand your theory of racism, almost not existing and being part of a superior way of living. It’s part of natural selection and survival of the fittest, which often went unquestioned. However, I don’t believe everyone lived like this. There are plenty of examples of white people standing up to racist behaviour, laws etc So it’s not possible to say this was an intrinsic part of society that never went unchallenged. Queen Victoria appeared to have a lot of respect at times for people of colour, however was quite happy to be the monarch of a third of the world. It’s a very complicated discussion and very interesting and something that can’t be concluded easily.
