Absolutely! The Wild One is a real favourite of mine, always great fun to take out for a run! Thanks for the kind comment, my friend! Have a good weekend! :O)
Haha! Yes mate - very alluring, I could squish those shocks up and down in my fingers for hours! Thanks for the comment, much appreciated my friend. :)
Thanks Steve - yeah, these shocks are beauties! The action is so smooth I reckon they will do a great job, as well as looking cool! All the best my friend! :)
Good job, Mark. Love those shocks. Was surprised when I got a notification of Part 2 - and then had to find out if there was a part 1. Somehow I missed out. Loving this buggy already. I don’t wanna open my FAV.
Hello, Mikael. Glad you caught it - I have noticed that the RUclips notification system is problematic at the moment. Yeah, the shocks are little works of art! And seem to function perfectly too. Come on mate - that FAV needs a little love, care and attention! :))
Thanks very much, Paul - did I tell you that in my day job I'm a support teacher? Hehe, yeah, can you believe it? I teach 5 to 11 year old's English and maths! Anyway, I really appreciate your kind words, best regards from Mark... :)
You did mention before you were in education 😁 When I’m not a dad or a rc hobbyist I’m a Dr. Wouldn’t be one without some amazing teachers throughout my life 👍🏾👍🏾
Hi Paul - sorry if I repeated myself - I blame my age! So cool - you are a doctor? And where would we be without people like you? Hat's off to you my friend! :)
Hello, Jeremy - I hope this message finds you well. Ahh - this video is pretty long so a cup of coffee is a great choice! Thanks for watching my good friend, all the best from Mark... :)
Excellent part 1 Mark I am blown away by how nice the part s are that cage really went together good now I want a new kit lol have a great day my friend 🤘🏻💯👍🏻😀
Thanks, Brent - yeah this is a good quality kit my friend, and it goes together quite nicely too. Haha - you NEED one of these in your life brother! All good here - have a great one too! :)
Mark I dont know what it is but your Voice is So Calming 😁, I Love watching and listening to you bro👍. You dont miss a single detail out and your instructions are So Clear and easy to Follow 👍I Love them Shocks lol 😂 , The Quality of Tamiya is Somthing Else, there attention to detail is Amazing. Mark as Always I really enjoyed this Build and can't wait to see the next one. Keep safe and well brother, RC BRO'S FOR LIFE 👍😍😎🥰👍
Aww, thanks Tony! Glad you find my voice calming, and not irritating! I hate listening to my voice when I watch the videos back, but I think that's the same for a lot of people, we are not used to hearing it ! Yeah, this kit is a great build, nothing too complicated but still satisfying all the same. Some real quality parts, too. Glad you liked it brotha, massive thanks for your support! You keep safe as well, RC bro 4 life! :)
Thank you, Sven! Yes it really is a very interesting kit, quite simple to put together but very nice all the same! Glad you enjoyed it my friend, and thank YOU for watching! :)
Thanks very much, Nick. I do hope some people find the guide of some help, at least it's a cool little Tamiya to watch coming together anyway. Not too tricky to build, but rewarding all the same! All the best my friend! :)
Thanks very much for the support, Sean, always appreciated. It's great to have this kit to build while we are in lock-down, keeps me busy! Hope all is good with you mate. :)
@@MarkBryanRC i used to like rock crawling before but tamiya simply offers variety of interesting builds. compare to other makers, it definitely makes it all interesting. tamiya body shells simply look amazing.
It a lovely car I’ve just finished mine it’s the car I had way back in 1985 now I’m going to Bulid a Kyosho turbo scorpion the the turbo optima as I have a lot of time on my hand all the best stay safe buddy keep up the good videos don’t change a thing there spot on 👍
Nice one mate! Wow - I really like the look of the Kyosho kits - lots of metal parts and super quality, I must get one some day. Great that you have so much RC stuff to keep busy with. Thanks for the supportive words, it's good to know I'm on the right track! :)
Thanks very much, Shane. It's quite a straight forward build, really. But as with all Tamiyas, it's a lovely thing to make! Hope you are safe and well, mate. :)
What a great project Mark! This buggy seems to have quality materials, the shock absorbers are too nice! I think the end result will be a very classy, retro style buggy. As for me, I finished the assembly of my M05, I will soon put the photo report online. I wish you a great weekend, my friend. Protect yourself, protect your own. Peace 🕊
Hello Alex, I hope this message finds you well. Oh yes, certainly lots of Tamiya goodness in this kit! I agree, this is an iconic buggy and I can't wait to get it finished and running. Although that may be restricted to the garden during this lock-down :-/ I'm very much looking forward to seeing your M05 project, I bet it is a beauty! As always, returning your good wishes, peace and good health to you my friend! :)
Thanks very much, Michael. I'ts funny, quite a few people have said that it's relaxing, I can tell you I wasn't relaxed on the shots off camera where I made a mistake and had to re-take the shot! All the best my friend. :)
Sure is my friend - coming together nicely, but slower than my usual builds, I think Lock-down has slowed my progress for some reason! Looking forward to finishing it and getting a first run in the garden! :)
Cheers! I've just finished the gearbox and rear shocks - very nice - and started on the driver figure (what a pain!) but it's coming along nicely, gonna take a few hours editing the footage to make it presentable though - shouldn't be too long now! :)
Nice build Mark! Really impressed with shock set up. I thought it was a similar system to the Sand Scorcher, but it great to see coil springs being used. 👍🤓🇦🇺
Hiya Paul - thanks for the comment! Yeah, I could squish those shocks all day! Very smooth action. I really like the simplicity of this buggy, it's an easy build but I think it will perform well for an old design. All the best my friend, have a great weekend. :)
Wow - that is £132 GBP if I converted it correctly! I paid £154 GBP for mine (without ESC) - $316 Aus Dollar, which was the best price I could find in the UK - so your price sounds like a bargain to me! I wouldn't be ummming, I'd be buying! :P
Cheers, Kirkster! Yeah, this one is quite an easy build compared to the FF03! Nice and relaxing most of the time (until I mess up on the shot, make a mistake or forget what to say - those bits are cut out of the video, and there are a LOT of them, I can tell you!) Thanks for the fantastic support mate - always appreciated. Have a lovely weekend my friend! :)
Mark Bryan RC the Amount of retakes I have to do to make my videos are unreal lol 😝 but you always do a really good job as long as you don’t forget to tell people about the tyres on this model and everything will be all good from what I hear they are very grippy and they are also grippy with a bit of grip lol 😂 hope your keeping all good bro
Fantastic video Mark! I'm pretty impressed by the quality of the parts. The shocks looks just fantastic and it seems that this is a pretty awesome and fun build! I'm a little bit jealous now 😂 Oh I guess I need to get one too as soon as the crazy times are gone. Stay safe my friend and have a fantastic weekend 👍👌
Thanks my friend Charlie! Yeah, lots of Tamiya goodness going on in this kit. And those shocks are soooo smooooth! This would fit right into your collection, as soon as the madness has passed it would be a nice little project. And you, too Charlie, keep healthy and enjoy the weekend. :)
Been looking forward to THIS!!! 😁😁😁 When I did me 'Oliday Buggy, I used longer Brass Ball ends on the knuckles, and a 2mm Nut to secure it. Just a thought... I paused the Video. This should be a speedy Buggy!! 😉🍻
I saw! Thanks Brother!! I always appreciate it. 😊 ..... I'm still going through confusion! Emailed yesterday, with another idea and a link for you to look at, if you get the opportunity.
Cheers bro - yeah, I thought about changing the steering mechanism, I'll see how it goes, I can always make my own 3mm bars with proper ball end on if needed! :)
Hello mate. Happy Friday although it's all kind of the same at the moment. Anyway great stuff, I enjoyed that. It did bring back memories of building my FAV. Love the shocks because not only do they look great and scale but they actually seem to work well too unlike the Sand Scorcher ones which just look nice. I think that the body on this is a simple paint job but it's the driver that's tricky as you were saying before. This is going to look the business. Tell you what I've been looking at that are lovely and scale like this are the re-release Kyosho buggies like the Scorpion. Never built or owned a Kyosho but they look great with lots of metal bits. Quite expensive so I'll wait to see if I still have a job when we are all released! Meantime I've got a vid ready which will be up soon. I've done the lexan shell of the brat and that 240z. The Impreza shell has arrived so I can get on with that. The brewery has just delivered my 5 litre container so happy days! Hope you have a nice weekend planned as much as you can under the circumstances. Cheers matey :-)
Hell Pete! Yeah, Happy Friday to you too! Yes, these shocks feel really good, they should work well with a little preload tweaking when we get to run it. And paint and stickers is gonna be so much easier than my rally bodies! I looked at those Kyosho kits, they are gorgeous, but expensive as you say. Love your new vid mate, classic Pete Wylie bashing! Good work on the bodies, you have been busy mate. Ooh, a beer delivery, that sounds fantastic, enjoy! All the best matey! :)
Hiya dude, you win a smiley face - :)) - Hope you enjoy. It's a pretty basic build really, compared to some of the Tamiyas I've built recently. The only pain in the ass is the crappy lexan body figure, difficult to get it to look any good! Hope you are doing OK my friend. :)
I HAVE to watch this series again!! I'm going NUTZ waiting - and I've got quite a while to go.... Looking at the Batry box, it appears that a 7-Cell Hump Pack NiMH might just fit. Do you have any Hump Packs to try?

Hi Mark Great vid. Just got a question on the front shock mountings. Is the extra blue spacer you added to give the shock clearance from the shock mount included in the kit or is that something you had to source as an extra? Cheers!
Hi - thanks bud. Yeah, the blue spacer is from a set of Tamiya hop-up spacers (shims). It might have been OK without them, the shock was only lightly brushing the stay. I could have just added a washer, but the blue shims look nicer. Just erring on the safe side my friend! :)
