Great tips! I like hiring the idea of a helping hand. I've found it helps even if the person doesn't really do anything, but is just there so you don't have to deal with everything alone. Especially if you've got social anxiety, an extra person makes it easier to break the ice!
Love the hustle my man! Just came across your channel and really appreciate your run and gun style. Your work looks great too! Extremely motivating for filmmakers like us to keep passing along the true events of what it takes to be an indie filmmaker. Keep up the work!! 💪🏻🎥
Finally got around to watching this and it didn't disappoint! How do you know where the line is between spending too much time on a scene and not spending enough time to get it right?
Very motivating. I have two indie films showing on various streaming platforms. I'm a solo filmmaker, and I have another indie film shoot planned for December.
This is normally a personal investment of one’s own money. Often you can reach out to friends and family but once you’ve invested some equipment you begin doing some small projects and build over time.
I'm learning a lot from your content as an aspiring film maker.

An extra set of hands makes everything easier.
If I can create a small but powerful team to work on a project, I think the results will be much more efficient than if I worked alone. great.
Totally agree. I made a similar video summing up last years filmmaking takeaways. Subscribed- great job on the vid and channel.

Spending no more than 10 secs before moving on to the next broll shot. But that depends on the overall arc of the story
🖤👏🏼

Great tips and beautiful material. What aspect ratio was used in the footage you showed. 2.35?

Thanks! That’s awesome my friend!
Thoughts about using 32bit audio recorders? It seems solo they could be a big plus by not worrying as much about audio levels/clipping…
More bit depth the better but getting your levels right is still important
How does a filmmaker find capital to build their equipment and brand?
This is normally a personal investment of one’s own money. Often you can reach out to friends and family but once you’ve invested some equipment you begin doing some small projects and build over time.
Which camera?
Blackmagic Pocket 6K
