Exactly! That's one thing Microsoft got right in their Hotmail/Live/Outlook mail system. Not only can you have up to 10 aliases, but making any one of them primary (rendering the current primary to secondary) is brilliant.
This is something I didn't know. I did create a second gmail account, but had one of them forward all of it's email to the other. That seems to work as well. Thanks Leo

My question is, if i create a new acount which i only want for emails, will i have to chenge my acount on my phone also? will it make problems for me a log the way after if i keep the user name and acount for all my phone things? also i didnt quite get what u said about the pssword, but i didnt get there yet, i hhope to understand while i will try opening the new one.
hi Leo i forward all gmail to another domain account for work and all emails from that domain {from work account } to gmail, so i can see all emails on the road, it causes a lot of mail-demone loops. Is there a tidier way to see both without the loops? thanks for the tips
Hi Leo, I have 2 Gmail accounts on my smartphone. It's a bit of a pain. I'm aware of the Pop 3 option, however, haven't used it, yet. I manually unsubscribed and unsubscribed to my RUclips feeds, but it all became too hard when it came to Photos! Then, to make things worse, I have a Samsung phone and because Samsung wants to have its own ecosphere on your phone too, I have 3 Calenders and 3 Photos on my phone. 😱 My wife also has 2 emails, however, only has 1 on her phone. Good smart. except, she misses emails on her 2nd account, because she never uses the desktop computer. 😂

I'm not quite sure I understand the question and how Epic Games relates. If you used your gmail address there, Google CAN'T remove it there -- you have to go to your epic games account and configure a new email.

How is the space handled for Pop3 or Gmailify? My primary Gmail account is always close to the 15GB limit and the interface keeps asking me to pay for extra storage.
I think you could use POP3 to take the email out of Gmail and save it locally on your machine via an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird. So you would save space but the emails would only be available in whatever email client you are using on your computer. That could be dangerous because it means the email is no longer backed up in Gmail which is similar to IMAP. If its deleted from POP3 and its not in Gmail, its gone.

If you delete an account it's gone. Apps don't work any more. And there's no forwarding from a closed account. Better would be to leave the account active, but set up an auto-forward rule yourself.

I think I made a temp Google profile 10 years ago, but I have no idea what it is. I'm trying to cancel my old Earthlink account bc it's now $10/mo, but it's the address connected to Google. Am I SOL?
Not quite sure what you're seeing. If someone else made that email address, then no you can't get it. It belongs to them. If YOU made it, then I would try to sign in to it, perhaps using "forgot password" to recover access.

If I go to the option to delete this other account, it's telling me x amount of emails, etc will be deleted. It's confusing bc the gmail emails that are shown to be deleted are the same ones I see in my current mac mail app, so if I delete this account, am I also deleting the email address? I'm confused between the gmail account itself and a gmail address. Are they always tied together? What happens if I delete this "another account" do I lose all the emails I have? How would that account then be able to be used for my current one? @@sbrave You can't "add that email address to my current google account". Each account has one email address, and each email address is a unique account.
No idea. I'd have to know which account is the administrator account, EXACTLY how you try to delete it (there are several ways), and EXACTLY what happens when you try. Maybe submit a detailed question to askleo.com/ask

Not true. Microsoft offers aliases and I can easily choose whatever email I wanna set as my primary email. Gmail doesn't offer that feature

Yup, that's a loop. Rather than fowarding, I'd look into using POP3 access to have one account fetch from the other.

You don't need to change your email address for that. Email addresses are case-insensitive. leo@askleo.com is exactly the same as LeO@aSkLeO.cOm.

The email is added to your Gmail account, so yes, it counts.

It is not true that you can't change your email address. I just did it. It took a while and I couldn't tell you what I did, but it is possible.
