1:18 is the realest shit ive heard in a long time. describes how tough it can be to panic and the nasty circle of dismissal a lot of people experience trying to get help. i see a neuromuscular specialist regularly for parkinsons disease. ive had anxiety most of my life, pd makes it worse. i was chatting with my doctor and mentioned this song in passing - he, weirdly enough, asked to hear it. so im sitting at a neuromuscular center at 4 pm listening to merkules with my 50 year old ukranian neurologist, who confirmed that this is beautifully written, and in fact - goes quite hard.

I feel you mate, big time. I’ve battled hard depression non-stop from age 13/14 to 24 (im now 24). A couple suicide attempts here and there ofcourse. From 20 to 24 was definitely the hardest, felt the down-going-spiral got worse everyday. I swear the three last years was so dark, looking back on it freaks me the fuck out. A white room woud litterly look dark in my eyes, everything got colered dark no matter what. Good or bad, didn’t matter. But one day listening to Merk while taking a dump (seriously), I said to my self ‘’im so fucking done with this lifestyle. I’m not going to spend one more second in this depressed and anxious world. I’ve had enough, big time. Fuck this’’. And to this day, as merk would said it ‘’the devil is now my bitch wearing 5-inch Stilettos’’. (real story). It’s been 7 months now, and let me tell you. Life actually looks kinda cool. Just freakin sad i’ve spent so many years torturing myself allday-everyday-every minut- every hour- every week- every month - every year - through out my childhood and teenage years. Let me tell you. It’s hope, I did it. My family, friends and shrink was secure that I would loose the battle and one day get a successful suicide.

Back 2 years later and this still hits hard. It helped me get through a real tough time in my life. I'm good now, drug free apart from weed, good Mrs, 3 beautiful step kids and a great life. Shit does get better bur you have to put the effort in to make them changes.
Anyone who sees this, I had anxiety myself, since pretty much my whole life. And now I'm feeling much better since a couple months. My biggest advice: take everything one day at the time. Don't listen to yourself when you overthink all those negative scenarios you're making up everyday. I know it's easier to say, but trust me. You'll become much more confident and you'll get there. What's helped me a little bit is to look at is as a challenge and that once you get over it you'll be way stronger than you were before. Everyone has their own struggles and mental health definatly isn't something to take lightly nor are you any weaker then others for struggling with it. Stay strong ✌️

I didn't think it was particularly smart to commit suicide. There are so many beautiful things that really make your life easier. Just ignore the people who make you completely down. Just try to do what you are, which is good and I realize that you will not get it down and do it for your family and your friends.
Ps: We all felt it and we got help. Let yourself be helped and then it will go better directly. We promise you then you will have a better life right away. I hope god will help you overcome this pain, please don't do it!

That like to dislike ratio says it all. This is the first song or merks that I've heard and I gotta say it made a good first impression. Really glad I decided to check out some of his earlier tracks. He went from unknown to for me to one of my favorite artists. These lyrics just hit me straight in the heart. I have anxiety too (I think) but It feels stupid to tell my parents that. I've had heart attack scares and stroke scares. We've done all the testing possible to the heart and it's healthy and normal. But I still get those scares on a daily basis. It feels really good to have a song and artist to relate to. I've had Logic for some years but merks lyrics are more straight up and almost exactly like how I would describe how I'm feeling. Love this man and his work

honestly as someone who has been depressed for a while and basically revovering I can just tell anyone who sufferes from it to keep going... since we all remember that one person we once where, we all want to be that happy person again. So trust me when i say that person isnt dead you just need to keep going and work on your issues everyone has people who care about them.
