Me who who took a drop.. decided to smash JEE mains in January so that I would have ample of time for advanced ... I bottled up ( just got 95%ile) , dreams shattered, panic attacks , yet didn't gave up...chinned myself up gave my everything for April ( so that atleast I can reserve a seat in NIT cs/ece branch)... did well in exam (8 April shift 2 one of the so called toughest shift [it really was]) ...i calculated my score it was 205 ...then cam final answer key, one answer got changed and my score dropped to 200 ...i thought it's okay I'll still get a good rank... result: 98.6%ile...rank: 25.9K ...My mistake: Trusting God, never giving up, leaving everything for studies...sahi bewakoof ban gaya mera 😊💔

I request to NTA: Subject division in jee mains must be like: 50% paper on mathematics and 50% on Physics and chemistry. The questions are literally shit in physics and chemistry that neet students can clear this. And that's the reason, cut off is going beyond our expectations. What is this? Jee is all about Engineers. Atleast make it much difficult so that, perfect engineers can do it just like in jee advanced. At least, don't make paper so much easy in physics and chemistry. In 300 marks exam, 150 marks must be from physics and chemistry with each paper of 75 marks and 150 marks of mathematics paper. Just like we can't give neet exam just because of biology having 50% weightage of the paper, jee mains must be like that having 50% marks on mathematics paper. And there must be subject cutoff just like jee advanced. So that, neet students hardly able to solve mathematics paper. That will be perfect justice

Personally I feel that JEE main at its current state doesn't help in filtering out the true cream engineering minds that efficiently. I think the multiple shifts and varying levels of exam difficulty in each shift are to be blamed here.

Sir, 2023's paper level was not that difficult in comparison to 2024 april attempt still marks vs percentile variation is too much, if a person who is scoring 150+ in a moderate shift of 2024 april attempt i guess he can get that easily in 2023 also cause phy level is somewhat more in few shifts of 24 april but still marks vs percentile variation is too much, so paper ka level girna mujhe sahi reason nhi lag rha. Maybe free online resources ke kaaran competition increase huwa hai.

on an average,yes 2024 april >2023 april,but ig there were some shifts in 2023 which were harder than any of the 24 shift(11th april evening shift and 12th april morning)
