This goes to show retro games are not dead and I would rather play this then some of the newer games that are out. Contra being one of my favorites growing up this game was love at first site/play.
I played the demo of this game, and it's fun and all, but the controls are absolutely broken. No controller support and it forces arrow keys + S/D as the control scheme with no configuration options. I shouldn't have to criss-cross my arms or use my controller with JoyToKey (both _external_ solutions). Not on a game that costs money.

I also played the demo version
never saw that reply (thanks youtube), but I guess I'll give the full game a chance if that's the case.
