Wearing all black with the fedora, long coat, and the big white reflective goggle eyes, standing on the building and spidey-swinging, the character’s look reminds me of the other half of ‘Spy vs. Spy’. iykyk
@Twtybird1 I posted a comment that I only knew about him when I started playing the shattered dimensions game on the PS3 and this look is one of my favorites because him wearing full black like that he can hide in dark spots that no criminal can see him until they shine a light on him.

@emergencyawesome I saw you were blaming Sony for the name change, but it's actually because of Marvel. In the contract, Peter Parker can't do certain things like kill or curse, and I'm pretty sure this Spider-Man will be doing that, so Sony had to make changes. It's not always Sony's fault.. we all use the same google.

@mrtopghost7126 I'm happy about the changes, because it allows Sony to connect pulp lore to this even more with a toss back to the pulp hero The Spider who looks a hell of a lot like Spiderman Noir and uses guns too and kills bad guys. This is going to be epic! PS: I highly recommend the Dynamite Entertainment comics run of The Spider, it's brilliant stuff.

@atmoheal Psychopath??? LOL Do you not even know wtf a true psychopath even is? Spiderman Noir isn't a psychopath, he is just slightly unhenged & for damn good causes and reasons. You'd know that if you read the comics line for him. Spiderverse had to tone him down a bit due to kids watching it, but trust me in the comics he is badass, and exactly how Cage is playing him.. a bit of toony tunes meets Dick Tracy, with pulp hero action!

This looks so goofy. What made Hollywood think people want to see Standard A List actor, Nicholas Cage, as some sort of Spiderman in this unserious looking show? They couldn't find new, unique, or fresh talent? This just looks cheap and commercial like they really aren't trying to offer anything creatively.

3:13 Fun Fact about that is that in the comic book series, he was called "The Spider-Man."" In the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show, "The Spider" played by Milo Ventimiglia. So that might be the reason why it is called The Spider instead of Spider Man this time around.

The first Spider Noir trailer I found this morning was the color version. I didn't see the black-and-white trailer in the search results. I was severely disappointed. Imagine my glee when we hit the end of the teaser. 💜

"The spider" was a pulp noirish character published in the 1930s. I'm pretty sure he was a private investigator also.
Yes! Spiderman Noir is very much inspired by that pulp hero who I am a major fan of btw myself... What makes me happy is they are making it even more obvious in this series by literally calling him THE SPIDER in the show, and the series title is Spider Noir.. so they are not going to ever actually call him Spiderman. Love it!

Maybe it's just me our my hope for it, but when Cage's just sitting there spasming, I could swear I see the silhouette of a jackal head. That has on my top 3 comic story arches of all time.
