I've been watching the NBA since before Bird and Magic entered the league. I think this kid is something really really special. He reminds me of Hakeem Olajuwon with a little less athleticism but with more size and a 3-point shot. I remember watching Shaquille O'Neal when he first entered the league. I honestly think Towns is an even better player than Shaq was a the same age. Not quite the physical force (who is?) but a far superior all around game than Shaq. His ball-handling skills are especially impressive. I hope he stays healthy and keeps his head on straight because I believe he is going to have an absolutely brilliant career.
