Perfect for the power skater who thrives on top speed, the AS-V Pro is prepared for takeoff with the extra stiff and explosive one-piece boot made of CCM's elite RocketFrame composite and carbon.

cant wait to try these things out !!
had the as1, now on as3 pros, waiting on those babies❤
I use the AS3 Pro as well and am wondering if the ASV Pro model is a tad too stiff; can't say enough positive things about the AS3 Pro tho' so CCM better have upped their game :)
@@andersborum9267 oh the as3 pro are miles away better than the as1 were but yea im wondering the same for asV pro.
The bar is high for sure
@@ben__ford9235 What improvements did you notice with the AS3 Pro? I'm currently on AS1s which I really like.
Also, are you a wide footer? I'm wondering if Wide and EE share a similar fit.
@@davetechme the boot is stiffer on the as3pro so it gives better balance and protection.
The stock blade is better
Bit more padding inside also so more comfortable.
Also i notice after 2years my as3's holding a lot better than my as1 did.
@@andersborum9267 based on the CCM catalog, the ASV Pro has a stiffness index of 215, which is the same as the AS3 Pro. The AS1 had a stiffness index of 205.
I am strongly contemplating these. I tried them on in the store and they fit my feet perfectly but the upper ankle area was sort of loose… like the side walls flare out in that area… allowing a little too much side to side slop in my ankle movement. Because of the boot stiffness, cranking down on the laces didn’t do enough to pull them in. Would baking them allow me to reform that area so it wraps around better?
Yes, that's precisely what baking helps with! Once baked, the ankle will better form around your foot.

Are you going to review the AS 590 skates?
got another question i know the vapors put u on ur toes more would the as v pros or ft4 pros put u on ur toes like the vapors of not will profiling help that?
They are all pretty similar when it comes to forward pitch. If you're looking for an agressive forward stance, then profiling with the Pro Sharp Triple Profile is the way to go!

How does the CCM high volume fit compare to fit 3 from Bauer? Similar or is one larger?
They are pretty similar, both fit the wide forefoot and deep instep perfectly! Unless you need a custom high-volume fit, both the CCM Wide and Bauer Fit 3 should accommodate you!

nothing will help you without hard work at the gym and ice
How do they compare to top Rincore model? Forward pitch etc ?
Did they fix the issues they were initially having with these skates? From my understanding all of them were recalled a week or two before the June 23rd release.
They sure did, any skates that are shipped from IW will have been inspected by CCM directly!

@@ice.warehouse Are there going to be the regular ASV skates as well. I just haven't seen anything besides ASV Pro skates
@@morrtrades7552 I saw the 2022 ccm catalog and there will be an AS-V model. I think it was around $750-800 depending on steel selected.
CCM is currently giving the AS-V Pro priority in getting the holder fixed and then they will take care of the AS-V. We should have stock of the AS-V by the end of August but that is also an estimated date depending on how fast CCM get can everything fixed.

When will a new pair of vapours come out? And how does the super tacks range compare with vapor?
Vapors will come out next year as the Supreme line was released this year. As for comparison, both the Tacks and Supreme families are designed for that player who seeks to generate as much power out of every stride. The JetSpeed and the Vapor families are better suited for the quick and agile player.
Brandon at IW Hockey
will the tapered fit be the same as the ft4 pros in tapered?
That is correct! Fit's between the JetSpeed, Tacks, and RibCor lines (only models that have the fit sytem) will all have the same fit. Now players can choose the skate that benefits their game! Tacks=Pure power, JetSpeed=Balance of quickness and top-end speed, RibCor=Flexibility and Range of Motion.

awesome i alwys wore bauer but now i can wear ccm because of the new fit system and i heard the ccm skates are more durable then bauer now
Yeah! I love that both Bauer and CCM have the fit systems because so many more options open up as us skaters. We can now get a skate that suits our playing style rather than having to buy a skate because that's the one our feet fit.
Brandon at IW Hockey
when will the jetspeed ft5 skates come out?
Not until this time next year!

Did they fix the toecap
What issues are you experiencing with the toecaps? And are you referring to the AS3 Pros?
@@andersborum9267 I'm wondering this too, Bauer widened the Mach toe cap but I thought the CCM one was pretty dialed in.
Chase at IW Hockey
He’s talking about the lip on the toe cap for the interchangeable tongues. People were complaining that the lip sits a little too low and can be felt on the top of your toes/forefoot while playing. There are a couple videos or threads online how to fix or modify it. Early reviews say it’s better in the AS-V this time.
Can you choose to go with the old SB +4.0 holder?
From the factory? No. But if you have your own SB 4.0 holders you can take them to a pro shop or something and have them swap holders.
Why not just go with a taller blade?
@@andersborum9267 i have backsteel but it's for the SB 4.0 holder which is now discontinued
@@alexbryjak31 thanks, makes sense
You cannot, they only come with the XS holder.

How many grams?
We weighed them at 992 grams (Size 9 with Step Blacksteel).
