Im 2 weeks from moving into our homestead. Ive watched 100s of hours of youtube to see what i should be doing. This is by far the best advice i have heard on here. The kids are the reason Im doing this, everything else is of a lesser priority. Thank you.
I agree totally. I messed up and have a mountain of debt and have to work off the farm. My girls are finding their own way and we have time for them to come back if they want. I'm just keeping paying things down and building so there is something for them to come back to. Thanks for the video! Keep Smilin!!!!
People give up because its hard. There's a gap of knowledge between great grandparents/grandparents and their family line. Skills have been lost. So starting out- we've had to completely relearn. My husband takes our 3 yr old out to work the land and I either strap on the 6 months old or push her around in a stroller to do smaller chores. Help your kids enjoy it. Teach them to love it and know that it also belongs to them.
Im old and my kids are grown and i just now have enough money to buy some land. There wi be a lot of work to and i hope my grandkids will be interested. What i hope to build will never be a benefit for me but perhaps it will be to them.
The reason? The farm is needed! But the most important thing is to sell your products right! Get the most amount of money from your product! So sell to farmers markets ! Mom and pop stores ! And set up your own online sales! And set up a road side stand! Yahoo
It leaves out people, who through no fault of their own, dont have children. You're pretty young, so you haven't thought out thoroughly who your audience is. This morning i subscribed, and now I'll say best of luck.
I thought it out and I mentioned in the video, that I’m not judging or saying it can’t be done. I’m sorry if this was hurtful in some way. The main point was focusing on winning in production and growth but missing the growth of our families. This has at times been a downfall of mine and a struggle to focus on others over myself. Hope you continue to watch, I’m human. My wife and I have worked with people through church who can’t have children or have lost kids, because we are in that same boat, burying our second son was a trying time.
@jwmcginnis You frame it quite differently here. I'm 71, lost my family to an ugly divorce just a few years ago. What I don't need is people telling me I have no reason to push on. I subscribe to channels like these for information I can use, not moralizing lectures.
I totally understand sir. I’m sorry you’re going through this tough time, I’m encouraged that you chose to adapt and drive on. In my early 20’s I watched as my family sold off our large farm, all the land and told me I would never farm. So perhaps my viewpoint also comes from a place of hurt. I wish you the best in your endeavors.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. Let me know what you have questions on and I’ll make some videos.
100% on point! Family comes first! God bless
