This is the best advertisement for a particular fish finder I’ve ever seen 😂
didnt think of that... maybe I should hit them up 😆
Another thought from my cousins experience…
If you can choose any color for all water it’s chartreuse or similar 🍻
It was so nice to meet you at the fisherman’s life street fair! Keep up the good work❤
Thank you! Nice to meet you!
I really do love your videos! You got a great way about you and it’s fun to watch. If I’m ever out there would love to film together
Thank you!! If you run into me, let me know and we'll make it happen
Been awhile since I’ve watched one of your videos. You’ve come a long way. Nice Halibut! I hope to check out Monterey sometime soon!
Thank you and welcome back to my videos! I've definitely put a lot of time on the water in the past few years and have learned a lot. Good luck in Monterey!
Nice and got my shirt last week, light hoodie next.
Thank you for your support! I would love to make a hoodie in the future but gotta get these shirts sold first! If you take a pic wearing it and tag me on instagram, I will repost it!
What a beautiful day and an incredible unbelievable day fishing. Great Job and Thanks for continuing to share your success.
Thank you and thank you for continuing to watch!
Nice videos I was watching a video of more than fishing 🎣 and he recommended your chanel nice I like going surf fishing Morro bay

Busy Day! Great work. LOVE MY SHIRT. Need a hoodie.
Thank you!! Glad you love the shirt! Hopefully a hoodie coming in the future! Just have to sell these shirts first
Nice bro
Awesome ilan! Awesome meeting you at the fishermans life fair. (Im the kid that also got stung by a batray)
Thanks Rowan! And thanks for stopping by during the fisherman’s life fair!
Super nice flatty! Boy the sea changed quickly from glass to caps. I sure enjoy the Lowrance views. That's a pretty good unit; great clarity!! What pliers do you use? Yes, swim baits are tops for both stripers and halibut! Zoom flukes (tail twitches) are also good for halibut from shore.
Thank you! I've been enjoying the fish finder views as well. I would tell you what pliers I use, but I lost them the other day so I can't check! sorry! Recently caught some halibut from shore using the zoom flukes, video on that coming up sometime soon
@@FishermansChronicles You must be fishing Santa Cruz Surf Casters spots. I was there fishing for them last week last week the sea weed was terrible for 3 days; just couldn't fish. Went north to HMB for a few perch.
Love the Videos!
Thank you!
Great whistling :) I watched a documentary about sonar/sounder fish finders and apparently they annoy fish. Marine biologists are recommending to use them to find the fish then turn them off to prevent bigger fish from swimming off to avoid them. My $0.02. Another great video, you are sure catching a lot of fish lately!
Thank you! Very interesting about the fish finders. Makes sense that the fish wouldn't like them. I like to keep mine on because big schools of bait move under my kayak very quickly, so dropping a sabiki at the perfect time can be key in landing a nice mackerel or sardine for bait, which can turn a slow day around
Fresh 🦑…
The no wait bait ‼️💪🏽
Halibut are the large mouth bass of the sea… if you can catch a LMB with a bait, you can catch a halibut on that bait 💯
May have to drop a worm down there and see what happens 😂
@@FishermansChronicles I’ve caught at least 5 halibut on blood worms, and caught one using a Gary Yamamoto weedless worm fishing for spotted bay bass and one on a spinner bait and one on a popper 😂🍻
I have never seen the water that flat. Wow unreal!
It was insane on this day! Legitimately like a lake
Nice Flatty Bro. Dale' 👊🏻
Gracias!
El roba lonche. Probé lingcod 😂
Me lo regaló 😂
I do a lot of kayak fishing myself let me know if you want some company one of these days I live in Sacramento but drive out to oyster point and other spots out that way.
Thank you! If you see me out there, let me know and we'll fish together! Mostly fishing the coast this time of year though
Kayak communuty so small but most respectful hard to find other kayak anglers
I was surprised you didn’t get in on that halibut bite off the beach about a month ago
I did a couple of weeks ago! A bit backed up on editing
SHEESH
Makeral is the best. I dropped a live one last Sunday and fish on.....no sealion on, dam.
Congrats on your fish! Mackerel are my favorite! They stay super lively too. No sea lion this time thankfully!
Love your videos bro do you mind to say what fish scent you use ?
At 7:15 you can see a bigger ling following the baby one up
i dont see it... the one fish I saw there was a smelt
How do you know what days to go out so it’s calmer than others? That bay looks awesome 👍
I check the wind using the predict wind app and the swell on swellinfo website!
First to comment! Nice work 🤙
Thank you!
Cool pier, what is it's name?
Pitbull makes great jigs for Rockfish and ling's but I think some other brands like Big hammer have a better hook for California halibut given there coated hooks with quicker hook pentation.
Interesting, I do really like their swimbaits. The hook isnt from pitbull I believe, its just a jig head I had lying around, but a lot of the fish are so aggressive that as long as you do a decent hook set it shouldnt be a problem
Pitbull uses black nickel which is a very strong hook material. Teflon (PTFE) infused jigs used in the ocean are often very light weight 1/4 to 3/8th ounce and make a finesse style jig . The finesse slow fall presentation can work wonders on halibut hiding under the pilings of piers
Which fish finder do you have?
Lowrance hook 2 triple shot, but its discontinued! Mine is over 5 years old
Where do you get the fresh squid
Monterey harbor

Why not use a rod holder?
I just like holding it under my legs more, i kinda jam it into the side rail and it’s basically a rod holder. Plus ive had holders fail in the past 😭
That aint wide open kook
Didnt say wide open halibut. That's the next video. Just meant lots of fish caught basically nonstop all morning
🤡🤡🤡🤡
limited gaff skills
