Hi! Quick question, on your printed instructions as well as here you say roll the slab to 4-5mm thick/about 1 cm. However there’s 10 mm in 1 cm so what is the actual thickness it needs to be?
If you’re doing the large moth I would do 10 mm thick. Once you compress it will be a little thinner. If you doing the small moth do 4-5mm. Sorry for the confusion!
Great tutorial! I downloaded the templates and the whole project is well explained. Thank you. One question… do you use low fire slip because that is what your clay body is? So, if I’m going to use stoneware clay I’d just use that for my slip, right?
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I cannot wait to make these and I will tag you!
You are so welcome!! I can’t wait to see a finished one! I haven’t had a tag yet so maybe you’ll be my first! Enjoy and have fun!

Thank you!!! I would love to see your finished moth when done!! And Yes. Your slip should always match the clay you are using.
