Once again you have clearly defined what the “ best Florida fishing/diving channel “ looks like. But more than that, it’s your wonderfully real interaction with each other in gorgeous places that being peace and escape to so many devoted fans. I happily discovered this latest video last night and while watching… my wife, then my kids and then my grandson joined me and moved it so much, we watched your 2022 holiday summary again. In the years since you have started up your channel I have never missed one and none have been less than excellent. You always take me home to the paradise I grew up in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Clay and Stephanie. You are Florida’s best ambassadors. 👍
Always know it's going to be a beautiful video whenever you post but this one was exceptional!! This is the way life should be lived and grateful you both take the time to share it with us ♥ And glad you brought food this time!
Hope you have fun on your groovy little vacation, I love the tent set-up on the boat, very trick, I might have to try that with my little tinny one of these days. Really connected with your message at the end and wiser people than I am have also said that it's very hard to make memories while lounging in a recliner, it seems funny to say this to people but sometimes you just have to get outside and breath the air, clear your mind of all the chaos life swamps us with and pretty soon you'll feel better and maybe go camping or fishing, whatever your inspiration leads you to do!! I do need to mention how ridiculously stunning some of those shots were, no horizon, the fog,...all of it was amazing!! What a great start to 2023's adventures, and as always thank-you for taking us along with you!! My AVAIL Fleece lined Hoodie has been working really well during our ice fishing exploits, cannot say enough good things about it, everyone needs one of these in their wardrobe arsenal!! Take care - Dave
I'm back watching your videos after a short break away. You guys look great and congrats on the boat. My husband and I are fishing down here in Key West for the past couple months. So beautiful here and lots of great fishing. We don't have a boat, but the mutton snapper, mangrove snapper, permit and grouper are here and fun to catch. We are having a great fishing season. Hard work, but so much fun. Fishing is fishing and if we catch nothing there is a bar to rest up and share stories of the one that got away. Wishing you both and all the viewers all the best for 2023.
My buddy and I first started going there in the late 80s. We first stayed at the Rod and Gun club in Everglades City and rented a pontoon boat out of Port of the Islands and loved it so much we started going there multiple times a year and camping and fishing inside and outside the the park. Commonly called the 10,000 islands because of the thousands of mangrove islands. Even if we didn't catch anything we didn't care because it was so islotated and beautiful. It truly is one of the most unique fishing spots in the world because without ever getting out of your boat, if you have a gheenue like we had or a flats boat, you could start in the morning in the backcountry rivers fishing for fresh water bass and slowly move out towards the gulf catcatching Redfish, Snapper, Grouper, Trout, countles fish and end up in the gulf catching 30lb Cobia. A little bit to make one jealous. We we started we paid $4.00/lb for Stone Crab.
You guys are living the dream. Nothing but good vibes watching your videos. Definitely wish I could afford the life experience 😂 the struggles real. Stay safe out there guys.
Really ebjoyed this episode! The thought of camping on the boat is awesome. It reminds me of when I was in high school. Me & my buddies used to camp & fish all the time! Clay, you are so blessed to have a wife who loves the outdoors. Don’t ever forget that. It will make you closer, when you get old. Much love!
Great video. We used to come down to Chokoloskee every winter and fish the back country there. Some days we would just anchor near one of the islands and spend the day. Amazing to watch the variety of life out there while never seeing another person.
I've watched about 30-40 of your videos. And this is the first comment I leave. 😅 absolutely the my top 3 outdoors channels on YT.. the production of your content is just exquisite 💎 b-roll is on another level. Shows how dedicated you guys are on providing the best possible content. Its addicting to watch to say the least.. congrats and thank you for sharing such exciting content! -Steven
That fog was up in the panhandle a few weeks ago and it would linger ALL day. Y’all get some awesome footage. Regular tv isn’t even entertaining anymore because of your channel and others alike. Thanks for doing what you do.
When roughing it as you guys are i highly recommend having normal utensils and shatter proof plates. Less waste and eating will feel like a morale boost. Sea water rinses well with no detergent needed. Just wipe n go.
Wao guys another great video 💪. Camping in the boat is the best experience ever. We do a lot of camping in our 30 ft boat during this season we prefer this weather for camp. Keep up the great work guys. Hope to meet you guys soon ⚓️
You guys are the only channel I have ever subscribed to. Just awesome content! You are just real and have a great time doing what you do. I hope you make your way down to Dry Tortuga's for opening grouper season weekend. I will be on detail down there opening weekend and hope to see you there.
Man that’s a lot of boat to go skinny on ! Glad you all made it safe. And returned with the same prop Agree. Best kept secret in Florida is right there
Would LOVE to see you do a series of videos on popular topics: 101 Small Boat Ownership and Maintenance; 101 Boating Skills for Florida Adventure and Fun; 101 Boating Cool Gadgets (NAV, FLIR) and Toys (DPVs, etc) for the Small Boater. Tent camped many times on middle Cape. Big fun! Caught snook and trout off the beach and made great fish chowder for dinner. Always a winter trip to minimize bugs. Didn’t know you still had a big Contender. Beautiful boat.
@@LifeByTheBow You will enjoy that. Stick to the cool months and bring your repellant. The point of land at middle cape is a good fishing and camping spot.
Just an epic video of your adventure on your new boat and your delicious dinner made my mouth water lol. Thank you for sharing your adventures anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Great video I think production goes up every time I also remember it being real fun going through tavenier creek by the mouth on the gulf side all the tight turns makes it pretty fun, also really like these camping videos, maybe make a spray hood for the boat for camping? And the avail logo looks good on the boat
Remember too, many boaters forget: what if there was a boat issue, mechanical problem or heavy weather issue? Just being out there coming home Safe and etching those unique memories. Ps- you made a great point about stretching comfort levels, and appreciating the things that we have when we get back home. Have a nice summer.

I grew up in SW Florida and I can promise you that area you were at......is the sharkiest place in North America . Up towards Boca Grande is a known breeding ground for hammerheads and down around the ten thousand islands area (The area you where at !) is loaded with blacktips and bull sharks ! Loaded !
Great Video! We were out on the west coast of florida and noticed 2 manatee swimming by our boat and a huge cobia was swimming with them. The cobia kept circling the boat and we tried to catch it but it wasn't interested in our bait. It had to be 50 lbs or larger. I thought it was a large nurse shark at first. lol

Great video, great boat and the best company. My son and I just can’t wait for our boat to be finish. I see that on your new rig you changed to Yamaha 😋. That’s the same way ours is coming. We both think that the 39 ST is a great boat for hardcore fishing and family trips. Best wishes for the new year.
Me too. I missed you and Stephanie last weekend in isla morada. But my son Danny sent me a picture of both of you with him and his wife. Another time will be. All I know is that I love your videos, Stephanie’s cooking recipes and the new boat we are getting. I am trying to compete with my little channel 😂😂lmao. You are a pro Clay. Keep it up
You guys make some awesome videos! Clay reminds me of Brandon Palaniuk, same voice and laid back personality too. Keep up the good shows- my family and I enjoy them.
Love your videos from both a production standpoint and the content you share! One minor feedback I wanted to offer is to please think about not using plastic water bottles like you guys had at lunch on the beach, or plastic plates / forks for dinner. Make a cool branded bottle with your company instead and bring some camping utensils.
If you caught a bunch of fish every time, then it wouldn't be as big of a thrill. You have to enjoy the adventure and the hunt. Going out on the boat and the scenery are great all by themselves. Great video.
Love the channel and the vids are on point 👌. Just wondering why you didn’t consider a centre cabin which would give you more protection for the long trips, a place to sleep and still maintain 360 degree fishability? Cheers from Sydney AUS 🍻
Take this for what it’s worth: I’ve been a hardcore RUclips user for over a decade and I have YET to subscribe to any channel. Not really sure why, now that I think of it. But… Y’all’s production value, easy going personalities, and delivery of experience has compelled me to hit that subscribe button and ring that bell! Please keep blessing us with this beautiful content, and we’ll keep returning the favor! #FairWinds
Not sure why I reply to popular RUclips channels/creators and I often don’t however I suppose there’s a chance that you’ll actually see this. Just want to encourage you because you’re doing what many…myself included have quite literally dreamed of doing for my entire life. I grew up with very little, drove 1.5hrs or so to Galveston as a high school and later returning from college kid and I did so every chance I got. I had exactly one decent rod/reel that I worked and saved up for and also became a member of GCCA when their mission was to save and restore the redfish fishery that had taken a threatening blow due to the new and popular recipe out of New Orleans- blackened redfish. I’ll never forget, after leaving at 3am to catch the sunrise at St Louis Pass meeting an “old salt” who noticed my GCCA hat. Wading in waste deep water on the bay side of the pass, wearing cutoff jeans and a few lures dangling from my hat with an empty float stringer trailing he remarked that he was proud that I as such a young man’s would support their efforts. I literally went to sleep every night dreaming of what it would feel like having a house on the coast, maybe a bay boat and an offshore boat too. I knew that to accomplish this dream would probably require winning 19:25 the lottery but I still fell asleep for decades with this dream in mind. All these years later I’ve been blessed to have built a moderately successful business and we recently bought a house on the forgotten coast, boat and all. The part of the dream that has yet no happen is actually using it…my businesses are 1000+ miles away in TX and I don’t know how I could pull off spending much more than a week or two down there. Family, kids and obligations prevent us from getting down there much at all so the house stays rented and the boat sits in dry storage. Time marches on, thank you for sharing your adventures…experiences that most of us can still and may always only dream about. I appreciate and enjoy watching you two do all of the same things that I dream of even today. There will come a time that you and I cannot physically do the things we dream of so I’m proud of you for living and sharing your lives and experiences. It provides ideas and inspiration and for some, perhaps including me, may be as close as we will ever get to actually doing most or any of it. Paused to share my thoughts, hope it’s an affirmation and encouragement to keep doing and keep sharing. God bless you guys; He clearly already has and I look forward to finishing this and watching more going forward. Perhaps you guys have or will inspire me or someone else to the point of action but at the very least we are able to sort of experience this through sort of with you. And who knows? Perhaps life will put us in each others path out on the water or in a secluded bay somewhere someday. -Kevin Martin Woodward, OK
Kevin, We take the time to read and response to each and every comment so I can tell you how much we appreciate you taking the time to share your story. Hopefully someone can read across what you shared and find inspiration in your story. I want to say congratulations on achieving what you set out to accomplish. And let this serve as a prime example that anything is possible with hard work, dedication & a dream. Best of luck to you and your future endeavors, we will be routing for you. Congrats! -Clay
Liked the video although reference multiple times to our lovely Gulf side as dirty kinda sucked. Murkey better word? Remember, we just survived Hurricane Ian September 28. We're all struggling with water conditions! Red tide has been a downer. Hope y'all enjoyed your trip!

You guys make some awesome videos! Clay reminds me of Brandon Palaniuk, same voice and laid back personality too. Keep up the good shows- my family and I enjoy them.
Thanks so much!
awesome! Was right next door to you guys two weeks ago my son and I saw you cruise by with film crew! Love name on side of boat! Thank for video.
Nice! We’re you the ones that were camping in the point?
@@LifeByTheBow no by your home. Jan 1-8th. We go every year lol. Ive actually been to your dock.
absolutely love the show! My dream is to own down there and own a boat like that. Working every day towards it. Was diving molasses while down there!
Another awesome video guys. We are heading to Islamorada in May, renting a boat, and love to find something like this closer to our location.
Thanks Sam! Safe travels down!
I feel very lucky for being a fan of this channel and Key West waterman as well, you guys make my day. Thanks ! y gracias a la Cubanita.
Thanks for watching!
I love this channel I’ve watched for a while and it’s awesome the boats and everything
we appreciate you, thanks Brody!
Love your videos from both a production standpoint and the content you share! One minor feedback I wanted to offer is to please think about not using plastic water bottles like you guys had at lunch on the beach, or plastic plates / forks for dinner. Make a cool branded bottle with your company instead and bring some camping utensils.
Thanks for the tips! We will take this into consideration!
Thank you for all the great videos and for what you do down there to conserves for the future
Glad you like them! Our pleasure!
If you caught a bunch of fish every time, then it wouldn't be as big of a thrill. You have to enjoy the adventure and the hunt. Going out on the boat and the scenery are great all by themselves. Great video.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
That's awesome! I'm on the SW coast of Florida. Probably an equal distance from the glades. I've been wanting to do this for a while!
Very cool do it!
Love the channel and the vids are on point 👌. Just wondering why you didn’t consider a centre cabin which would give you more protection for the long trips, a place to sleep and still maintain 360 degree fishability? Cheers from Sydney AUS 🍻
Thanks Peter! It’s an expensive upgrade but something we’ve considered.
Take this for what it’s worth:
I’ve been a hardcore RUclips user for over a decade and I have YET to subscribe to any channel. Not really sure why, now that I think of it. But… Y’all’s production value, easy going personalities, and delivery of experience has compelled me to hit that subscribe button and ring that bell! Please keep blessing us with this beautiful content, and we’ll keep returning the favor! #FairWinds
Thanks so much Nate!
Now that looks like the ultimate , beaching , boating, Stakes Boat camping with your Babe And fishing Is in a new boat ! Love it thank you.
Thanks so much Danny really appreciate you watching
Great intro.. throwing this cast to the TV. Big up, production on point. The drone shots really do help make content better..
Much appreciated!
That’s awesome! I sure miss doing all that. Stay Blessed!
Thanks Ricky appreciate you watching!
Awesome video guys!!!! That boat is so nice!!!
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching!

Such a fun video guys, as always can't wait for the next video thanks for sharing, bye 👍🙏❤️😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
Liked the video although reference multiple times to our lovely Gulf side as dirty kinda sucked. Murkey better word? Remember, we just survived Hurricane Ian September 28. We're all struggling with water conditions! Red tide has been a downer. Hope y'all enjoyed your trip!
Thanks Kelly appreciate you watching!
Great video guys as always. Love it.. Blessing to ya.
Thank you! You too!
@@LifeByTheBow ❤️❤️

Great idea with the tent, some place I'm sure you'll be back 😀
That's the plan!
