FYI, the part in the middle is a recording of Danny Perasa, speaking with his wife in 2008, 8 days before he died.

I was doing a search on a Duncan pickup two weeks ago and ran across Dean Wells. Was so impressed with his playing I checked out the Teramaze videos. Have Her Halo and Esoteric Symbolism on the way from Amazon. Great stuff Dean and Teramaze!

2020 I found Threshold, Affector, Theocracy, Seventh Wonder and now world class Aussie prog metal Teramaze wow.

I was familiar with the song Anedonia which is a nice groovy prog metal song. I started checking their records now and this is a 10/10 prog metal song which rivals the best songs in the genre.
My fav Teramaze song.
That guitar solo from 6:50 onwards...So good. This whole song is amazing.

I found Teramaze a few years ago through an email I got from Nightmare Records. I was completely blown away! With the decline of dream theater's ability to write a decent album, this band was exactly what I was looking for and they have easily become my favorite band. Is this the same new singer from the video uploaded last year, because if it is he sounds sooo much better here than in the early track that was uploaded. I wish I had known the new album was out because I would have bought it instead of food. Now I have to wait until my next paycheck to buy it.

It's solid, but I really miss the singer from the previous two albums. I really wish shit had worked out with him, it was his sound in large part that helped get me into the band (happens to me a lot, specific singers' sound getting me into a band, ala Iced Earth in the Barlow era).

(being very picky...) even the snare drum sound reminds me of D.T.'s Images and Words. As a drummer, the snare drum sound isn't great, but it actually grows on you until it becomes part of the sound and the memories... O.K....I'm rambling on :)

+Andrew Bennett nothing wrong with different as Teramaze should be more recognized. I'm a inspiring guitarist (not very good) that is slowly realizing how much work it is to just learn guitar let alone to build structure from a band. I have respect for all musicians and as far as Teramaze goes their style went in a different direction and that's not a bad thing.. I really liked Anhedonia and wish they kept up that aggressive sound. Cheers!
